Need help for root - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'mnew to Samsung. Got Samsung s3. And need help to root. Im on 4.3
Is it possibleto root without a pc?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

I looked and looked into this. Root without a pc is not possible on s3. None I tried worked. If you downgrade to ics or early jb then yes but you may as well flash cf auto root.

Find CF root for your ROM version and again you'll have root.

What? So you're asking how to use root applications after you lost root, without actually rooting again? Seriously?
Is anyone else troubled by the change of screen colour after a root? lol?
Dude, root it with SuperOneClick, takes 5 min and is easy, so easy even a barely english speaking person such as yourself couldnt screw it up.
dude i had root my phone using superoneclick,so dont give a ****.i am just asking that is there any chance to unblock my apps without rooting it again.

how to work the apps which require root permision without rooting the phone? no chance...
Rooting may have not caused your screen problem, its caused by any application you used after rooting. as far as I know to rectify such problem within the firmware you need root again...
thanks....and any idea how to get my pics back in my galary coz there are pics in memory card but doesnt show in my galary.

Root your phone again. Get mobile Odin pro. Then again flash full stock firmware.
This way you'll keep root with full stock firmware.

i can't install busybox to my samsung s2

hello guys i rooted my samsung s2 using super one click.when i install busybox its says error. i try all version but still the same....
Just use CF-Root. Simplest and quickest way to root your phone now a days.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Whats the error? Download app like root checker from market and check if you are fully rooted. If not I suggest you rooting via Odin, there are plenty tutorials for this and doing it this way you will have no such problems (never happend to me )
Hope this helps .

Help rooting my phone.

I want to root my Galaxy S2 and have ICS or Jelly Bean or the best possible. I have been reading guides and tutorials on how to do this. I don't want anything to go wrong or brick my phone. One guide said I should get a new kernal, custom rom and a new OS to maximise the performance possible. All of this is getting very confusing for me and I don't know which direction to go. There are also two popular methods of rooting a Galaxy S2 which is using super one click or flashing an insecure kernal and then rooting the s2 using odin. I don't know which method is better but I would like to keep all the data in my apps which can be done using titanium backup. I would also like to have clockwork mod just incase anything goes wrong. The guides also said the best custom rom is by cyanagenmod. Could someone push me in the right direction and tell me what I should do and what I shouldn't.

What ROM are you on right now. Could you please attach a screenshot of the about section of your phone so that its easier to hand you the links to correct kernel? Briefly, what you need to do is to search the cf root thread by chainfire, get the cf root closest to your kernel version, and flash it to gain root access. What exactly would you like? Stock or custom rom? ICS or JB?

I got a stock rom right now. Exactly how it was when I first got the phone. Haven't updated. What is cf root? And can't I root using super one click? I want the jelly bean if that's the best I can get without any bugs or problems.

once u root u can backup ur apps with titanium backup and then after flashin a different rom u can restore it
So should I root using super one click?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Why do I need to update to ics? Can't I just root and then flash custom rom?
What would be the difference?

My friend wants to root his phone and I was wondering if he threw ya $50 if someone could remote his computer, root, and put the best Rom for a daily driver? Last question. He will be good with WiFi tether? Cause that's the main reason he wants to be rooted...

Just make sure he doesn't go to CM10 if he wants WiFi tethering. Its still buggy as it requires only open WiFi..

(Q) How to root my Android phone without the computer?

Hi guys. I apologise if I put this in the wrong section. So I want to know if I am able to root my note lte (gt-n7005) without the computer? Is there a software or an app where I can install superuser and root my Android without the computer?
Any answers would be appreciated

root my phone. HELPPPPPP!
I'm new at this rooting stuff, but I've been all over Google & YouTube I have not found a root that works on my phone. I don't have a USB cord so I'm having to root it by my phone. I have an at&t huawei u8800-51 its running on 2.2.2, I've tried to z4root but I read it won't work with 2.2.2 I've tried and no use, I also tried gingerbreak & I went through the process but it just keeps rooting for like ever. I don't know what to do. I've been trying for days at this. If someone could help me, I will love you forever! Ugh.

I would recommend checking out CF-Auto-Root for the T-mobile Galaxy S3 it should allow you to root your device running Android 4.1.2. If for some reason you run into trouble with the CF-Auto-Root method I would recommend taking a look at the Motochopper exploit to obtain root access. Let me know if you still have questions .
s4?

The mottochopper exploit is also compatible with the Galaxy S3 and is capable of gaining root access on the device.
