GPU is not overclocked by default, change like this:
Code:
echo 984000000 > /sys/kernel/tegra_gpu/gpu_cap_rate
-USB fastcharge is disabled by default, to enable:
Code:
echo 1 > /sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge
-fastcharge increases input current from 500mA to 900mA.

OC and NTFS support! Thank you for that!

Yes!! Used your kernel on the Nexus 5 and it was amazing
Smashed down on the mighty Nexus 9

Tytyty
Edit: almost 60k!!

60k that's sick!

This has made my day, really pleased your here!!!!!

This is wy i love XDA
would love to now how much the usb fast charge will diver from normal charging.

oh lawd elemental X is here....

Maybe a stupid question but is the fast charge safe?
And is there someone who felt that 2.5ghz oc made the tablet unsafely hot?

Normal is 0.5A and fastcharge is 0.9A, so almost twice as fast.

USB fastcharge is safe for the tablet, as it can handle up to 1.5A. There is a risk that the computer you are plugging into can't deliver 0.9A, as USB spec is 0.5A, but I've never seen a motherboard that can't handle it. Some USB ports will limit to 0.5A, in which case fastcharge will have no effect.
Also, you have to replug the USB cable after enabling fastcharge in order to get the higher current.
The tablet should stay around the same temperature while overclocking, as the thermal trip point is the same and the overclock is only 200MHz. However, there is always a risk of instability when overclocking.

thank you @flar2 ill give it a try
FINALLY! @flar2 can't wait until you implement aroma like the rest of your kernels.
Thanks for this! Didn't see this in the OP but does this encrypt?

Yes it will encrypt your data.
I have been using your kernel for the N7 (2013) forever, Thanks for bringing your talents to the N6 community!
I will remove forceencrypt on the next version.
It's up to each user to choose, but I actually think encrypting personal data is a nice feature.

It is a nice feature but it causes problems with people who are decrypted because if they plan on decrypting again theyll have to wipe their internal storage which can be troublesome for users.

Definitely not going to get a faster charge than what is already built in. I'm pretty sure the nexus 5 had the same feature but it was not available on stock ROM or kernel
Fast charge means USB fast charge.
For instance most car charges are only detected as USB charge and will only draw 500mv even though the charger is rated higher. Fast charge allows you to override the default USB 500mv limit and allow a higher current to be pulled.

Solution: charge it at home
Edit: is it just me or what, I'm not getting deep sleep. Went back to stock and deep sleep. Nothing else changed. Anyone else? I know its alpha. Just asking.
Bug Report : I flashed this on a AOSP rom and home and recents buttons disappeared, a reboot and davlik cache wipe didn't fix.

Mine deeps sleeps just fine. This is basically the stock kernel. The main difference is I built it with the linaro toolchain.

imo it's not really "cant reach",
but it optimized so cpu load is still under 1.4ghz.
Performance governor ramp up your CPU at the highest value, it doesn't matter were you are in game or just playing music.

Well I used the Ampere app, the max.amount of current I got was 1010mAh , with constant values revolving around 700-800mAh. Others can also check. I'm using the stock charger.
After install the kernel I can't unlock my phone, I'm using pattern unlock. Everytime that I try to unlock a black screen appears and go back to unlock screen.
I had the same problem with latest version of octopus kenel and I have to use and old version.
Any idea how to fix this problem?

Yup... dt2w is the one causing this problem... the touchscreen doesnt seem to wakeup from touch inputs
Update X1.1-2-H20 [new compiler and hotplug]
Changelogs at first page
Ayy my minus is now increased, lmao
no kernel-bugs-related so far....
[i'm more than a noob when it comes to kernel]
this is the only one that made my 紅米2 react properly on dt2w
(feature i missed the most, and coming back big style) {still waiting for a stable berserk to be honest}
8 stars (out of 5) for the looks/user/aroma approach - specially for people not using kernel managers (i'm not 1 of those, but solidarity is important)
has every other "crowd pleasers" working except for control freaks (just kidding) + screen/color profiles << this is not a plea
++ having an option for color-profile would imho make it more than awsome......
great work, even greater kernel, thank you
tipsy by @premaca
recommended settings more than appreciated

INSTALLATION
1. Install zip from recovery
2. Follow the instructions, if you don't know what to do, use the preselected options
3. Reboot
It is recommended to disable or increase the screen timeout in TWRP recovery. If the screen timeout is enabled in TWRP, there may be a black screen after exiting the Aroma installer. This is nothing to worry about. Simply hold power and volume down until it reboots. The installation will be fine.
Express installer
1. Install zip from recovery
2. Reboot
This installer goes without AROMA. And this recommended upgrade method from one repack to another.
It's take previous options, selected in AROMA before.
If you installing Repack in first time- use AROMA version.

WARNING
New compression method use multistream compression for ZRam swap, which allow to use 1 swap device with several streams.
Most ROM's using several swap devices (usually 4).
In this kernel number of compression streams set to 4 with 1 device.
If you installing this kernel in first time- you should flash this file. It change number of swap devices to 1 and set swap to 820 or 625 MB*.

Introduction
Ahoy everyone,
I decided to share my personal custom kernel with all of you. The main reason i started developing this kernel is to balance performance / battery / security and also add features.
I believe i have included most of the usually requested features. If your feature is not included you can ask for it and i will try to include it as long as you don't ask for ETA's. I am a student and i do this on my spare time.
This kernel is based on LineageOS 16.0 sources for beryllium.
Moreover, it is compiled with UBER Toolchain which is based on latest gnu.org changes and patched with AOSP and Linaro Android patches for optimal performance/battery.
So let's jump to the interesting part!
Sphinx Kernel Features
Compiled with UBER Toolchain 6.4.1
Upstreamed to 4.9.135
Upstream Updates from CAF LA.UM.6.3.r4-05300-sdm845.0
Merged Latest Lineage 16.0 commits
Makefile Optimizations
WireGuard Support
Dynamic Stune Boost v3
CRC Check Disabled
Pass SafetyNet without Magisk / Root
Boeffla Wakelock Blocker
AdrenoBoost Support
MSM Touchboost
IR Camera for MIUI based Roms
New Square Root Algorithm
Support sdFAT Filesystem
Suport exFAT Filesystem
TTL Target
IP Mangle
Fsync Control
Disabled Gentle Fair Sleepers
Atheros 9 Wireless Cards Support
Kcal Advances Color Control
Vibration Control
LED Notification Control
USB Fast Charge up to 900 mAh
LZ4 Compression Algorithm by default
Backlight Minimum Brightness Control
Power Efficient Workqueues
mac80211 Injection (Kali Nethunter Support)
I/O Schedulers: Zen v2, Maple, Fiops, Sio, Noop, Deadline, Cfq,
TCP Congestion Algorithms (bic, cdg, cubic, westwood, htcp, hstcp, hybla, vegas, scalable, lp, veno, yeah, illinois)
Governors: Schedutil, Ondemand, Conservative, Usersapce, Powersave, Performance, blu_schedutil
Zipped up with AnyKernel2
Notes
I bear absolutely no responsibility. If you brick your device. If you are not sure what a kernel is, how to flash it or how to restore your phone in case something goes wrong then do NOT proceed.
Moreover, you should flash this kernel only over the stock kernel that came with your Rom.

Version 1.7
Ahoy Ladies and Gentlemen.
Time for new version!
Changelog:

13) Now Sphinx comes Pre-Configured out of the box for balance
14) Support F2FS File System - If Rom Supports it -
Notes:
Note 1: This is USB Fast Charge which means it works ONLY when you charge from a computer. The default output was 500 mAh and now it's 900 mAh (which is the maximum a usb port can support)
Note 2: This is a new EAS Governor ported from blu_spark Kernel for OnePlus 6. Currently it is almost the same with the schedutil governor from Pixel 3
Note 3: Many of you made some comment about the LED Notification being brighter etc. Now you can configure it yourself. THOUGH there is not interface for that in ANY App, you need to do it yourself.
Specifically:
Code:
* /sys/class/leds/white/device/led_fade (rw)
0 : blink
1 : fade (default)
* /sys/class/leds/white/device/led_intensity (rw)
0 : stock intensity
1-100 : 0% to 100% of stock intensity
Note: Does only work for static led, not fading/blinking !!!
* /sys/class/leds/white/device/led_speed (rw)
0 : stock speed
1 : continuous notification light
2-12 : 2 = very slow to 20 = very fast
I have listened to your requests to bring Sphinx to Poco and did everything in my powers to satisfy most of you and ensure this version is stable so if you enjoy this version don't forget to buy me a coffee
Cheers :highfive:
