hello all.. ok i finally fixed my gps on grand 2 and now it works flawlessly .
ok here is the how to Fix the GPS issue
First you must buy phillips screwdriver ( + ) and the size : #00
then open your back panel.. and see top right.. and you will see the thing that covered by a piece of plastic (Hard plastic or like the phone material) unscrew that.. and just pop it out then you will see two thing.. the electric thing.. the very top is for gps and the wifi is on the down of the gps.. then simply put piece of paper under the gps electric thing .. then make sure that the electric thing will touch the antenna that on the plastic thing that we pop . then just screw back... and start your phone...
Step 2 This is for rooted only.. but .. if you not root i hope the first fix your problem
ok step 2 is open root explorer or root browser then go to /system/etc then delete the gps.conf
i know that will make agps function lost but i don't got any satellite fix,... even ONE fix... ( on my house ) then i see on internet htc user have same problem too and after that they remove the gps.conf and the gps work perfectly as my gps is now works perfectly .. i can get 8-15 gps LOCK on my house in a sec.... i got the record of 3 sec fix!
Step 3 :
Within the dialer:
*#0011#
Then Click MENU then click back...
then click MENU Again then select Key Input
then insert ' Q ' then click ok..
after that click menu again and select key input then type ' 0000 '
after that wait 10 -15 sec until next screen appear
after it appear....
select ' UE SETTING & INFO '
Select ' SETTING '
Select ' SYSTEM '
Select ' NV REBUILD '
Select ' ALL '
then don't do anything and wait for 30 seconds..
after waiting 30 seconds reboot your phone..

Gps cover only. After that you see 2 pin thinggy becarefull with it.. Then the gps one is on up.. And the wifi is on down

Try to remove agps data. Then go outside. And start gpa status or gps test. And just leave ot outside for minutes. After getting fix. Quit the app. And open the app again. After that. Wait for next fix. After that the gps will work fine

One important lesson I learned is do not ever use a phone case with magnet.
Not sure about other models, but magnet mess with our GG2's GPS.

Idk why. Our grand 2 gps is very bad.. I hv samsung s4 and it just. When i inside. It show little number of sattelites like 8 but. It just lock in sec with full signal. And our phone. Just need to go outside to got lock somtime. And. The signal is very poor (even i on the tallest building )

i have Grand 2 and its GPS was not locking since long. tried all sorts of apps, clearing all sorts of cache. It would show satellites but would not lock. the icon kept blinking for hours (with internet on)
i don't prefer any hardware tampering, so tried Step 3 :

And voila ! it works now !
had i found this earlier, it would have saved me at least 15 hours and $150 as i had to buy a backup bluetooth GPS !!

Step 1: no need to make. (I had open this cover to see antena contact of GPS)
Finish step 3, it seem had receiver GPS faster.

If nothing happened after *#0011#, move gps.conf to another folder to save. GPS will work faster than before ( I test on Q-Smart S53).

Thanks, i was struggling with my gps for 6 months, after reading the suggestion just unscrewed and re screwed the backpanel screws.......my gps is working now...locks indoor with in 20 [email protected]

I have done all the three steps. Still in GPS TEST, I see that there are 14 satellites in view and 0 in use.
I have no idea how to fix it. (I also closed properly all the screws)

Simple flash app to turn on/off wireless comunications.
I dont have Infrared or WIFI, so if anyone could test and post feedback, I'd be really apreciated.
There are a bunch of these out there, but now with the latest WM6.5 beta roms, I really disliked the default "wireless manager":
... So I tried to do a better one with the total support of ViJay555, Fredezzz and Ronswens tools.
To use:

- Install Flash 7 (Lite 3.1 doesnt work): http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
- Unzip and install the latest version anywhere on the PPC.
- Click to turn on/off.
- Swipe your finger from the icon to the light (left to right) to auto-sync (BT and IR only).
- Swipe down or up a tab to open its system settings menu.
- Close after use with the X button, or press ENTER on your keypad, or press the new bottom key to make sure its closed and not minimized.
- If any connection isnt working properly, choose another method in the settings.
- Choose your favorite skin.
MINI-FAQ:

- You really need flash 7, that doesnt destroy your Flash lite 3.1, they can co-exist in the same system.
- Non VGA/QVGA screens will work, but will have white stripes on the side, theres nothing I can do about that, sorry...
- If any connection isnt working properly, choose another method in the settings.
- If you see the keyboard icon hiding the settings, just open the keyboard and close it again.

umm BT doesnt seem to work as u mentioned.. Wi-Fi as well!! Data Connection working.. couldnt check IR as i havent got one on mine!!

well instead of making ur own app, cook it into the ROM so that when we open the original Comm Manager, we see ur skin.

Well, thats up to the cooks, theres no magic button to replace this tool in ALL the roms out there.
And its not even fully workable yet...

BT needs a little fine-tunning, will do that in the week-end.
The USB sync isnt a problem, it just reports that its online... but its not a real 3g/gprs connection, will have to dig thru the registry to see about that, but its not a very important bug.
Wifi I really cant test, but I'll check if I messed up the links for the ViJay tool or if it can be easily turned on/off thru the registry.
I dont know about BEAM, but one of ViJay's tool creates a automatic sync with Bt or IR.

Thanks, I never had wifi so I'm really shooting blind here... And the only info I found is a little confusing:
Wi-Fi connection status:

0 = off
1 = on
Wi-Fi power status:

2 = powered on
4 = networks available
8 = connecting

Are there choices? Example can we select from a menu like in the past from....Advance Config where you can use key mapping and switch for example ....data connection instead of infrared ?

It shouldn't, no files overlap in mod yet. If it works, profit and I'll release stable. If not, I'll work.

Use quick tile mod I posted in general. To activate, use sqlite editor. Go to setting storage -> settings.db -> search "vo" in global/system (whichever). One of those should pop up vowifi or something. Set it to 1 I believe and should walk through activation process when click again. If not, I'll keep up files in next beta

Went to settings.db then system and searched "vo" and vowifi or anything like that did not pop up. Flashed the mod but have no way of testing it! :/
Also I have the WifiCalling quicksetting toggle but it takes me to DL Booster lol...

I need all the sprint APKs if you happen to have them. Bc when I dial *2 to go the sprint service thing in the phone it doesn't work... Neither does hands free activation... It just gets stuck there..
Edit: it's called "Sprint zone"
Edit 2: Actually I don't think that matters lol... You should ask slesh bc apparently in his new ROM he has it working! Maybe just ask him for a flashable?!

WiFi calling closes and will not turn on
So I tried this out using v1.1 and made the change in sqlite. When I first boot my phone I get two FC's from WiFi Calling and when I open WiFi calling and try to turn it on it just sits there and never turns on.
One other thing I just noticed is that when I go back into sqlite and look at the value of com.oem.smartwifisupport.vowifi_pref_state it has a value of 0 even though I changed it to 1. Every time I reboot and check the value it is set to 0.
If you happen to know how I can get the value to stick please let me know. That may be why this isn't working for me.

And FYI - I am on a stock rooted ROM
Wifi calling draining the hell outta my battery. Drained 13% while I was sleeping.

Me and splesh were working on this long before. I knew of it working in mystery rom before I even released this. This is working for temp fixes for AND2 ROM, stock (for now) and future possible fixes if needed.
I'll poke my head in here soon to help if I can. I can write a script that will force the entry in the SQL database as well if that will help.

Agree. Phone is excellent, we only need a quality rom on it. However 4.0.4A is way better for me than 4.0.3A, but still faaar away from what I expected from this company.
Ive been intrested in this phone for quite some time now and thinking of buying it.... I currently own a coolpad f1 and happy with it. The thing is a miss custom roms and modding from the xda community..... I see that the mx3 doesn't have any custom roms at all, same goes with the mx4?

It would be perfect if they learn from OPO and has a custom rom other than their official rom. I read news and there is rumor about ubuntu touch team up with them, but seem like this will not really happen.

I have an new MX4, but the Problem is, the Phone is Locked, because i have to often write an wrong pin. I would an Hard reset. I tried to press Vol+ and Power but nothing happens.

The phone will reset all settings when you write 30 times wrong PIN , but data will be clear.
Use same key combination when switched off. Then it'll take to the recovery. But you need to have the update.zip file on the phone to make it work. Clear data and you'll have like a factory reset phone without losing all data on the memory. You'll lose all your apps though.

I think it´s a fake, because there are only 3 messages, no video in youtube (at least 1... but not, there isn´t anyone) and for download the rom they say you have to fill a test/quiz with your number and that makes you pay money with phone... the downloading page seems to be like fake too.... if this is real where are the forums here in XDA and links to MEGA, One Drive or Whatever?

There are 2 variants of this phone that I can find, the M461 and the M461U.
Nether of them work with 4G/LTE on Rogers/Bell in Canada.
Bell has only 3G for both.
Rogers ether has 2G, or 2G/3G.
Where did you get your phone from and please post a screen shot of your 'About Phone' to validate your post .....

Hello guys in this guide I will show you how to make your Galaxy A7 look a lot better and to be more responsive. This guide will work for both firmware versions (KitKat 4.4.4 , Lollipop 5.0.2) and it's aimed towards all kind of users be a newbie or power user. Up to this date we have not seen any development of custom ROMs for the A7 as well as its little brothers A5 and A3 so the annoying Touchwiz is all we have for now. To be honest I owned the phone for about a month and the lack of customization is driving me cray-cray , so I thought I should better find a temporary solution to get rid of that ****** preloaded Samsung ROM.
In this guide I will be covering some stuff that are not quite difficult to do and are guaranteed to give your phone a new more premium feel.
So let's get started shall we?
1)Disabling S-Voice
First off , we have to make our phone a lot more responsive to our actions be pressing the back button or just going back to home. Samsung has equipped our phones with the S-Voice; an application aimed to rival Siri,Cortana and Google Voice, although it's somewhat good it makes our phone a bit slower when pressing the Home button and that is because when you double tap the home button S-Voice activates so we need to disable that second that our system waits for our second tap. To do so :
i)Open up your Apps drawer
ii)Find S-Voice and Open it
iii)On the upper right corner of your screen you will see 3 vertical dots, Tap on them and then press the settings tab.
iv)The 4th option should be Open via the home key and should be activated, So just click on it to deactivate it.
Simple as that!
2)Reducing the animation speeds
So this one is a bit tricky but nothing to worry. By reducing the animations you get a faster more responsive feeling.
So to do that you have to activate Developer Options on your settings. It's pretty easy!
i) Go to your settings.
ii)Navigate to the About Device tab and click on it.
iii)Find the Build Number tab. Then rapidly press for about 10-15 times. A message should come up saying that you have activated the Developer Options.
iv)Go back to your settings and now navigate to Developer Options and click on it
v)Scroll down until you find these 3 tabs: Window animation scale/Transition animation scale/Animator duration scale. All of the above should
vi)Click on each of them and set them to 0.5x
That's it you are done. Up untill now your phone should feel a lot more responsive and kinda faster
3)Time to download some Apps/Launchers
For launcher I suggest blindly the Nova Launcher and that is what I will cover in this guide so let's get to downloading and setting it up.
i) Download Nova Launcher from the Google Play [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en] and Install it.
ii)Now go to settings and then navigate to Default applications, Open it and Click on the Home tab and select the Nova Launcher option. Then finally press the Home button
So now let's set it up
i) Long press on the Desktop and then select settings
ii)Now Select Desktop
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On
Persistent search bar -> Lollipop
Scroll effect -> Simple
Add icon to Home screen -> Off
iii) App & widget drawers
Scroll effect ->Simple
Infinite scroll -> Off
iv)Dock
Dock icons -> 5
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On
v)Folders
Folder preview -> Grid
Folder background -> Circle(gray icon)
Transition animation -> Zoom
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On, Color -> Black
vi)Look & Feel
Icon theme -> Lollipop
Scroll speed -> Nova
Animation speed -> Fast
So this is it guys, a simple not that hard guide to make your Samsung feel really close to Stock Lollipop. Unfortunately thing like the settings page can't be changed, at least without root. I'm thinking of making a guide for rooted users . It will depend on how this guide will do

Addition 2.0 Rooted users ONLY
Hello guys , after some time and some digging through I managed to find some cool additions regarding the last post In this guide I will be focusing on additions that ONLY Rooted will be able to pull off . Although the steps are not really hard , I suggest you proceed with your own risk, I am not responsible if anything happens to your device. (Although I will gladly help you if you need anything).
In order to proceed you have to check if you are Rooted , else this will not work.
So we will be doing the following things to our devices. [I have tested them on my Galaxy A700F running Lollipop (on TrapKernel) , But you should be fine no matter what phone from the A-Series (A3, A5, A7 and all of the other variants) you have.]
1)Adding a working Navigation Bar
2)Disabling the softkeys (Back and App Swapping Button)(and the backlights)
What will we need for this:
1)An A-series Rooted phone (duh!)
2)A Build.prop editor (For this I will be using a multiapp called "Device Control", But any build.prop editor should work)
3)Patience
4)And to follow my steps
Before we proceed I warn you that there are some bugs like the nav bar being consistent while youtube playback and while shutting of the device but I am looking for away to resolve them , so stay tuned !
Now let's begin
i) First of all download from the Playstore the Device Control app.

v)Now hit the "+" on the upper right corner and type the following

vi) Hit save and then restart your device. When it's all booted up you should notice that the new Nav Bar is there and is usable.
But the Appswitch and Back buttons are still working so we should get rid of them.
i) Go to the Playstore and download RootBrowser

ii) Open it and grant SuperUser access
iii) Now follow the steps
system->usr->keylayout
then you should see Generic.kl . Click on it then "Open as..."->Text file ->RB Text Editor
iv) Ok so now you should be somewhat careful . Scroll down till you find the following numbers
139, 158, 254
After you find them just put the "#" in front of the "key" word WITHOUT spaces. It should look like this
v) Save and exit
vi) Go to settings -> Display and Wallpaper -> Touch key light duration -> Always off
vii) Exit and restart your device.
Now once you restart the following should happen :
1)Back and appswitch button should not work/light at all.
2)You should have a fully working navigation bar.
3)Your Home button should work fine.
If anything from the above doesn't work as it should , make sure you followed the instructions correctly.
Important info: The screenshot button combination changed to Power+Volume down. (Thanks to @amitb96)
The above steps should give your device some new feel more premium and if you followed the last tutorial on how to make your phone more stylish, this addition will look really good.

PS: I also noticed that after disabling the HW keys, the screenshot shortcut key changed to Power+Volume down button, maybe it's worth mentioning.

At the time I made this guide there wasn't much development for A5 and A7 so you know it's a bit outdated functional nevertheless

Uhm hey, thanks for your kind words. To be honest I have forgotten about this guide and your words truly made my day, thanks a lot , I have now switched smartphones so I can't really provide solid support ,although I'm done with my studies. From what I can understand you have the 2016 model which means that you'll have to wait some serious amount of time for someone to actively work with the phone. If I'm not mistaken it took the guys here around 6-7 months to find a workaround for the phone, so hang in there buddy. Lastly be sure that your phone is a beast and that won't pass unnoticed. Hi,
I have developed an Xposed module to enable the pad in Pokemon Go.
The module allows to set a starting GPS position, set the pad speed an to start the game directly from the module UI (pressing the PokemonGo logo).
To enable/disable the pad, just switch to enable/disable.
The module DOESN'T USE MOCK POSITION. I used a different approach to develop the module.
For this reason, it's more difficult to discover (probably) by a mock location checker, but there is a little time delay between the click on the pad and the game position update.
It's still in development, so please report some issue or improvement suggestions.
Instructions:
1) Start the "DarkPokemonGo" app.
2) Set initial GPS position (default is Pisa, Leaning Tower) and speed (expressed as degrees for click, REALLY
recommended default speed is 0.0001). Remember to validate them (click on DONE,ENTER on keyboard)!!!
3) Enable module (and pad appears).
4) Start game (pressing the PokemonGo logo).
5) ENJOY!

FAQs
Does the eggs system work?
Yes! If you set a low speed (default one is fine) and move slowly from one point to another, it works!
Is the module noticeable?
It shouldn't. Anyway my advice is to set a starting point and then move slowly from one location to another using the pad. If you move quickly from a side to the world to another, you could be banned!
Do I need to enable mock location? And GPS?
No, mock location is not required. Yes, you need to turn GPS on.
Can you add the feature X?

Hey Darkalbo, thx for this great module! It's perfect for when it rains, I'm feeling lazy or I want to catch Italian pokemon. I have a few suggestions, though.
-I don't know what controls you use in your video, but my fingers are way to big to reliably use your navigation buttons. One possibility would be to put one button at every edge of the screen, maybe also translucent and with a N/E/S/W designation. But anything to make my movement less random would be a big help.
-GPS coordinates are not easy to work with, I think. It would be a little easier if there were some presets or profiles we could make for the coordinates, like actual location, last ingame location, Pisa, home.
-Option to turn vibration off?
That's just my two cents.
Does it solve the most common problem with xposed modules related to pokemon go? That being The Module/ Joystick disappears or the app closes as it can't retain in memory. 1gb RAM phone here. If yes , i'll sure try this

Some bugs that I found - it's difficult to maneuver and get the direction you want. Could you add a feature that gives you the option to start from your current position, and move around from there?
Also, when I was moving around locally and collecting from the Pokéstops, it was perfect. Then I put myself into the New York Botanicals and then my goodies stopped coming when I would spin a Pokéstop.

Very strange behaviour...
Try to restart your phone so the Xposed framework should reload the module.

It's unnoticeable by client side, but it's still noticeable from server side. If you go from NYC to Tokyo and then put your GPS location on London, they could think that you are cheating or you have invented teleportation
My advice is to move slowly from one location an another, without "jump".

I tried to make something similar to the nintendo game boy pad, this is the reason of the position of it.
Anyway I will probably add the N/E/S/W on pad.

Yes, my advice is to move slowly from one point to another and not just "jump". This is the reason because I have developed the option to set a starting point, and then just move slowly around the map, because in this way the module is unnoticeable from Niantic server. If you move from NYC to Tokyo or Paris in just 5 minutes, they could notice something strange
Picked lon/lat but once loaded in I'm stood in the middle of the ocean when I know it's a big city? Any ideas?

When I add a long lat of a big city I I'm standing in the middle of the ocean with nothing around me but when I clear the dark Pokemon cache it takes me to Pisa again.
I think they recognise me...
Or I became very unlucky or they are punishing me
It works fine for 6 minutes but after that I could move without catch any...
