I was recently given one of these, but the original owner lost the charger. Can anyone point me to one that would work?
I happen to have an old razr laying around, was hoping to try it out.
works with Intex Universal Power Adapter IT-AD90W 18.5V or 19V - 5.15A or 5A - use 1st DC plug type A (3,5*1,75mm)

I just bought an Android Tablet off craigslist. The guy bought it overseas. (China i guess) He game me the charger that has to be hooked up to a converter. The plug that goes into tablet looks like an ipod charger.
I am trying to find a place to get a US charger and car charger but can't find the model of this tablet. in About Device it says imx51_bbg. I do not know where to look for the charger. Sorry for this being such a newb question....
I am also wanting to root this thing to maybe get something not foreign on it....
Try a converter from radio shack. And if it's from China, like, retail in China, it's likely that it's already rooted.

If your mains/grid supply is at a voltage listed on the power adapter "input" figure, you just need a $1 or $2 converter plug from ebay or wherever, so it will physically fit in the socket.
ie: My nook came with a US charger/plug (US system is like 110V or whatever), but the charger allows input of 100 to 240 V, so I just used the converter plug from ebay and it works on the aussie 240V system.
I have the converter plug... I just want a normal plug for it. So i can plug into my us outlet and then plug into the tablet....
It does not seem like anyone makes one. You figured with all of the hong kong market on ebay they would of had something... Even a car charger....
I also do not believe it is rooted as I tried to install superusers and it did not allow access.
maybe you can try search on china's online forum..I think they have what you need in trading (sell-buy) sub forum..
Actually I took apart a supply I had laying around. Cut the 2 wires to the Euro plug then soldiered the wires to my US supply. Sealed the supply box back up and it works perfect.
Hello,
I need some help, I'v been trying to track down a universal charger that has an adapter tip for the Atrix Lapdock, as well as an Asus G74sx Laptop the voltages are the same between the two Iv tried searching around and can't seem 100% on any results. I want to find for a universal charger that will work between the two. Anyone have any info on this I'd appricate it.

Ok,
So I've tried two cheap adapters (USB-C male < USB port female, HDMI, USB-C female power input) and both transferred files etc without issues BUT weren't able to power my tab simultaneously as I was doing things.
I'm a musician and want to keep the Tab powered will plugging in my midi devices....
Anyway, searching the web (and XDA) found out this wasn't possible, so i gave up.
THEN I got a reply from Samsung (whom i forgot I had asked) and they said to try their multiport adapter...
So I bought it to test it and bring it back and voila, it freakin worked... xD
I brought it back since it costs 85euros in the netherlands and thats WAY too much for my usecase...
BUT the question here is WHY does that one work?
The only differences I can see externally = The adapter looks way more premium, the connector is more solid and doesn't seem to be split in two through the middle (the divide/crease inbetween) like most cheaper USB-C cables have. And the Samsung adapter is WAY more heavy..??
What's making this adapter work and what are the others missing?
Is it the usb protocol (2.0, 3.0, 3.1, thunderbolt?) or something else inside the adapter?
Isn't there a cheaper alternative?
Curious to hear what peeps here think :cyclops:
I really need to call my Doc and schedule my next lobotomy, cuz this isn't making sense. Why is Google's adapter different from one I kept back from one of my many Samsung handset purchases?
If anyone knows the answer to this hardware riddle, or has had a different experience with their OEM supplied "Data Transfer Tool" , I'd love to hear about it before I have this procedure done! (ty)
When you plug a USB into the pixel, doesn't it have the option to choose to charge from device in a notification shade?

Negative, or at least mine doesn't. But the Samsung adapter I've had since selling my SM-N975U1 (Note10 Unl.) does let the charge happen with no hassle. Also, I try think this might be one of our fixes forthcoming (I hope) under a blanket USB-C fix? My Pixel 5a (5G) had no issue with the Google adapter for charging as I recall.
If you're talking about the adapter that came in the box (male C to female A), the USB-A cable you're using could be the problem. Even when cables have pinouts for pass-through power they don't always work for all devices. This article explains how the Pixel 6 is more fickle about charging, which also hints at why you don't see the same problem on a Pixel 5a.
Thanks for the link...I knew my 5a adapter allowed the charge, so my issue may be broader as I was using my Google supplied cables. Wonder why the G-Whiz kids couldn't accommodate us on a more universal adapter as they didn't spring for throwing in a power supply on the Pixel 6 Series deal?!
What's that little birdy, what did you say?chirp..cheap..cheap!
Did you not want to use the USB-C cable that came with your phone? Or you didn't have a charging brick that has USB-C?
No, it charges fine with the supplied OEM cable, it's just I've never used one before that was made to be so task specific. I thought (until now) they were all made to be multifunctional like my Samsung model is.
I have a keychain style projector and want to use it with my phone when I am traveling. Does anyone have a suggestion on cable to get?
Oh, last time I tried that eons ago with an Samsung S3 and some cheap MHL-adapter from ebay - wanted to play Mario Kart in breaks at work... alas, didn't work but looking forward to any positive answers here...
I have an Onn brand USB-C (m) - HDMI (f) and so far it hasn't worked with any phone that I have had. OnePlus Nord N10 5G, Motorola G Stylus 5G, or Motorola G Power. For a sub $15 cable I honestly wasn't expecting much, but why make and sell something that doesn't work? Or am I just not using the cable in the right type of application?
Well, later I learned that:

Still, kept that cable for some years but didn't work on any phone I had...
Such thing could be really handy with my little beamer in the sleeping room (pretty tired of DLNA, SMB and USB-cards).
