hi, i hope i'm posting in the right section, if not my apologies. i have reddot mobile r50 with mt6572, its rooted and running Carliv Touch Recovery. i've found a few guides on how to port mtk roms but i'm having some trouble with the meta-inf part. i've done a nandroid bakup with sp droid tools and carliv and i don't have a meta-inf folder anywhere in my stock rom. do i delete that folder or just skip that step?
other than that the only other problem i've ran into is wlan.ko not coping over from stock rom.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi guys there is a problem i m facing when i m trying to port a recovery or even just extracting the recovery n repacking it without any changes i cant enter the recovery when i flash it on my phone i have tried using kitchen and another batch file made by master chifu none worked i m using a Xolo Q700S/Cherry mobile Flare S2 a MTK MT6582M cpu phone pls help me out guys

I would recommend taking at the MTK Droid Root & Tools that will help you port a custom recovery to your Mediatek based device. For a basic introductory guide to ROM theming I would recommend checking out this guide from the XDA University.

i have a Firefly Mobile S120 [Cubot C11] with MT 6572 ROM .. and i am planning to port a LeWa OS 5 ROM for Cubot X6 found here
its a ROM for an MT6592, i tried following a tutorial here on XDA found here
and i followed the "Porting From Different SoCs" TuT .. but i kinda don't know what should i edit .. so i downloaded the SP Flash Tool Ready Files, and opened the system.img, though i found some files to replace .. i can't seem to locate the META-INF Folder indicated in the tutorial, so im stuck there ..
well firstly, i dont know if i editing the SPFT Ready system.img is the right one to edit, so i need some help

you will require stock rom for that
there is recovery.img in a folder. research a bit
and a emcc scatter thingy
extract these files
then get a sp flasher for chd
then load the scatter
flash
worked with me
