There seem to be a few useless apps on my LG G Watch:
Trigger (for NFC)
Heart Rate
Heart Activity
Since the watch doesn't have an NFC reader nor a heart rate monitor, can they be removed? How?
(and i want to keep trigger on the phone)
Trigger on your watch can launch activities. So it's not useless... But for me it's not working anymore. Getting a force close all the time I want to open trigger on the watch.
For me too. That's why I called it useless.
And why do we have the heartrate stuff if the watch doesn't support it?

Is it possible to dump this watch face from the lg g watch, I have a zen watch and miss it
Just recreate it with Facer from the Play Store or something, would probably only take a couple minutes.
I already did that but those apps don't always work consistently with the ambient decolorizing
Seems easy to make, give me exact details how you want it and I'll make it in android studio
exactly like the digital watch face on the lg g, date is blue when active, white when ambient. If you do i'd love to see the source for it, i've been trying to figure out android wear watch faces for a little bit now but can't seem to get them to work, even the examples.
I have Mi pulse and a MIO FUSE activity trackers. Is there any application which periodically checks the heart rate and report the result to google fit. most of the apps I found tracks the heart rate while in a activity but does not track in other times.
I tried "Heart Rate OS app" but it even did not ask me to pair my devices.
Any help would be appriciated

HROS2 was built for Android Wear devices, in which case the watch is already paired with the phone.
You may want to search for apps built for you device(s). There's a caveat, though. There is a ton of interconnectivity that people want that doesn't exist yet
Can anyone with a Gear Fit 2 list the top 10 most popular faces right now? I think the Gear App Store shows this correct? I don't own a Gear Fit 2 yet, so I can't access the Gear App to take a look. Anyone kind enough to list what they are? Thank you!
I use free watchfaces to need simple time and date and special faces to have extra functions.
For example:
1. I go mountains and use Altimeter and Barometer. It shows altitude very accurate.
2. I like control my phone and have access to phone's camera remotely so I use Phone Remote Watch.
3. Need calendar sometimes I installed Calendar Fit.
4. Need access to files, transfer pictures, music, ringtones, video and even texts from phone to Fit2 I have installed Filesmaster Watch.
It plays all media files and can open bigger text files . Extreamly usefull watchface.
Actually, you need a few watchfaces to do more then only track the time. I got about 20 watchfaces now

Are those the top 4 most popular on the Gear App right now? Doesn't the Gear App show a list of most popular? Sorry I should have said Paid watch faces.
dear all,
just got this gorgeous gear fit. it looks really good, love it. but i need it more than just good shiny bracelet thingy. i need three main functions (beside as a watch):
1. wa notification (done)
2. heart rate monitor which can automatically read my heart rate every one hour or so
3. sleep monitor
i am using xiaomi redmi 3s with marshmallow miui 8 eu dev rooted. browse and tried everything i bumped to to achieve those three goals. so far works for me:
a. gear fit manager debugsigned from other thread in this forum, but crash every time calls in.
b. open fit from google play, but wa notification don't have preview on the gear fit.
c. gear fit pro lite from google play.
all those manager apps can not connect to third party app which have heart rate graphs. gear fit pro lite include health graphics on its own but no heart rate graphics.
if anybody got any clue about no 2 and 3 please inform me...
thanks in advance
Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to do Gym workouts in this watch.
I would like to pick an exercise and input the weight i am lifting.
The watch needs to measure the number of reps and the heart rate.
In such a workput, the heart rate can go up really fast.
For example, in lifting weights, 110 resting HR to 165 peak HR, by the end of the 15th rep.
I am not sure if the HR diodes are capable of sampling data fast (need 25 samples/min or better)
But that is not a showstopper, as one can pair with external Hrart rate monitor such as Polar H7 or H10.
I expect the watch to count the reps though.
Thoughts?

Unfortunately, as of now the watch is not gym-friendly. I would at least want to be able to start a timer while in a workout. But even this is not possible. Interval workouts are only available for GPS-based activities. Hopefully Huami will look into this and deliver gym mode in next updates.

You can use Elliptical to track any indoor activity that you want, and for timed intervals there is a custom app made for the watch so you can track the time.

Yeah, I know and that's what I'm doing. Would like a dedicated workout mode, though. Just downloaded the Interval timer for the watch today. Can you really record the workout and run the timer at the same time? How?

Probably only using a 3rd party launcher, like QuickLaunher, installed on watch. But I think that intervals were added to other sports in latest CN dev versions, hopefully it will be added to EN versions soon.

Sorry, the intent is not the timer instead it is fast changing heart rate.
HIIT intervals can vary heart rate from warmup (say 120) to VO2max (say 170) depending on your age in a matter for 20 secs
So the diodes needs to keep up as it is now a sampling rate issue. The Samsung Gear 3 does it nicely.
I would suggest Stratos 3 that supports about 80 sport models.
use Amaztimer app
