Upon waking up this morning, I found that my phone was stuck on the (very first) Samsung logo. Before going to sleep, I was already booted and everything was stable.
I attempted to enter CWM recovery, but it would not work. It would continue restarting to show the Samsung logo.
Entering download mode, I see the following -
Product name:
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Custom
This is strange, and pretty wrong. My product name is empty, custom binary download is "No" instead of at least "3" (I never have used TriangleAway), and I wasn’t using an official Samsung ROM before the problem.
If I attempt to flash a full stock, multi-part .tar.md5 file in PDA, ODIN v3.04 shows a "There is no PIT partition." error and fails. Re-partition is not ticked.
Therefore, I’ve tried to flash each of the following, with re-partition ticked:
GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit
GT-I9300_mx_20120322.pit
GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit
Each of them fail with a "Re-Partition operation failed." error.
If I try to flash a .pit file and the full .tar.md5, I get the same "Re-Partition operation failed." error.
Once a flash fails, I need to turn my phone off and on into download mode again, or else ODIN will stop.
The same thing happens for both ODIN v1.85 and v3.04, I’ve taken my battery in and out, I’ve tried this on two different computers, I’ve used every USB port, my Samsung drivers are up to date and Kies it not running in the background.
Maybe Your phone made a suicide, look on this thread:

Similiar sympthomes, on mornig phone is dead and the PIT is unavaliable.
Hey there. I'm following the official guide to installing CM 10.1 on my S3.
When I execute heimdall flash --recovery recovery.img --no-reboot
I get ERROR: Claiming interface failed!
Anyone know what is wrong? I've searched the forums and google.. All of the answers are non conclusive. One says to install 32 bit version of heimdall which did not work.
Also my phone is now in download mode after I installed a zadig.exe driver. What should I do if this keeps failing? Just turn the phone off?
Went to do the Adam Outler "casual" everything went well and was succesfull untill the end then the following occured.
uploading recovery 100%
ERROR failed to confirm end of file transfer sequence!
ERROR recovery upload failed!
ending session....
ERROR failed to send end of session packet
releasing device interface....

Try reinstaling Heimdall and using a different usb cable.
Tried both, it did how ever work for galaxy mega, but not i9300.
After using Smart Switch Emergency Software Initialization, My S6 Edge Bootloops and goes into Recovery Mode Automatically and this error is written at the end
"dm-verity verification failed...
Need to check DRK first..."
I tried many things and when I try flashing a Kernel through Odin it gives me an error saying "Complete(Write) Operation Failed". Please Help Me.
