nothing wrong with it, i just don't want to flash it every time
Maybe a dumb question, but should it not be enough to replace the "default.prop" in offical twrp for tablet z with the one from the lockeddualrecovery for z2 tab?
I tried it and it seems to work here (backup, advanced wipe, restore).

Nice, compiled from source or what are you doing?
I've attached my modified twrp for castor and windy if someone like to test. It's the original twrp for pollux with the default.props from cm12.

If you fastboot TWRP to the boot sector you'll wipe your kernel. Flash it to the recovery partition.

So just so clarify, this is not built from source? Your first link doesn't work.
disregard the following second question I just realized what you had written
Also if I may ask, why nightly builds? TWRP updates once in a while (which can sometimes be over a month), what are you doing to have it updated every night?
On that note, now that I understand what you're doing here; does TWRP not work with 12.1? Although I haven't given 12.1 much testing time, TWRP did work for me (the same one as I used in CM12).

I haven't done anything from scratch. It works for cm 12.1 on Z3C, since there wasn't any custom recovery for Z3C on CM12.1 and the current CM12 twrp didn't worked, so I decided to do something. It was just for fun, so I don't plan to update when it's working. Try if you like after you have tested CM12.1, right now I'm back on stock due to several reasons. Waiting in eager to have MultiROM feature. So I can boot between both roms

Vendor is only created if you flash LineageOS 15.1 or LineageOS 16.0. Do that and restart.
I have a question to which I have never received an answer. but how do I remove the annoying unlocking every time I go into recovery. I always have to turn off and turn on the screen.

If you are using this recommended 9/19 Twrp, remember that its unofficial and that could be the reason you are getting the fetch error.
In my experience, that app works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. But you should still be able to backups from within the OS.

If you are using trebled Oreo or Pie , you need to be on this TWRP. ( 9/19) If you are using anything else : use this Twrp: https://twrp.me/leeco/leecolepro3.html
The syncing part of that app rarely works. Regardless, of what you have had installed. To the best of my recollection, I was able to get it to work maybe 2 or 3 times over a two year period using every rom that came available. On the other hand, the Gapps app works
