HTC Desire 601 Virgin Mobile Stock, constant reboot loop - HTC Desire 601

Please help I'm going insane. I woke up a couple days ago to find my Desire 601(Virgin Mobile Canada) in a constant reboot loop. The OS (KitKat 4.4.2) almost loads up but then immediately goes black and the HTC logo comes up again. The logo never does its musical start-up that it normally does and occasionally I will see an error about an app (google+, podcast or some other) pop up for an instant before everything goes black. Any changes I manage to make in the 30-60 seconds of OS time don't stick and safemode reboots the same way.
I tried to do a factory wipe but the phone ignores the command before rebooting again. I can access the bootloader but it doesn't seem to work. I tried to clear the cache and wipe the phone from there but it just goes into the reboot cycle. I tried to unlock the bootloader but after I say ok to the terms the phone simple reboots... over and over.
I've tried a number of suggestions as to ways of doing an RUU or flashing another operating system but I keep coming up snake eyes. I thought I finally had it when I was playing in flashboot when I found the -w command but the developer mode of the phone needs to be on for that to work (apparently) and guess what... the phone ignores me turning that on... YAY.
Any and all suggestions will be appreciated, I'm at the end of my rope here. Oh and the best part is its like a week out of warranty... hows that for timing.
My Bootloader screen is as follows:
*LOCKED*

HBOOT-2.22.000
RADIO-1.26.40e.00.14
OpenDSP-v18.2.0268.0925
OS-2.14.666.3
eMMC-boot 1024
Feb 26 2014, 12:32:11:0
Any tips would be appreciated. Really pisses me off this phone has done this, definitely not amused at all. Is there some way to format the phone and start from scratch if developer mode isn't enable and the phone is Locked/S-on?
Thanks.

Still no luck with the boot loop phone(still looking for suggestions tho) but I've started messing with an identical phone I have. I've unlocked it and rooted it with twrp/supersu. Now I'm looking for a compatible JellyBean rom (I hate KitKat so far) or maybe a Lollipop rom (haha). Can anyone explain to me if I need a desire 601 specific rom or can a stock (nexus maybe) rom work fine? I'm very new to this (shocking I know) so I'm not sure what's what. Will any WWE rom work on virgin mobile? I assume it will. I would prefer as close to a stock android as will possibly work with my phone as possible. Again any help is greatly appreciated.

Remove the battery then put it back in ur phone

[Q] Stock Flyer stuck rebooting

Hi Everyone,
I have a stock Flyer that is stuck rebooting. It never makes it past the HTC quietly brilliant white screen. It reboots every 2 minutes or so.
Here are the steps I have tried from other posts:
1. I tried going to recovery, but it just comes up with the red exclamation point after a few seconds.
2. I tried installing ADB, but it never finds the device. Granted I can't get the device to get past the spash screen, so I have only tried ADB from the white "bios" screen (I think that is called the bootloader screen)
3. I have plugged it into the wall and charged it up. It seems to charge just fine.
4. I tried plugging into my PC for 30 minutes as other posts suggested.
I have not tried a factory reset, and would prefer not to. I'm actually travelling for 2 more weeks, and can't even reload my media until I get home.
Does anyone have any more ideas?
Tell me what the white screen says. It should have your version information on it

Looks like there was a firmware update today. Don't know if that caused this or not. Thanks for the help.
Did you do anything prior to this happening or just poof?
Have you ever done the s off, CM custom recovery, root?
I would think you could flash your stock ruu or s off flash recovery then flash a custom gingerbread room like lee Android

someone else said that they had a similar issue and when they took their SD card out, then it was able to boot normally

still not booting
No, I have never tried anything custom with this at all.
I don't think I've ever even seen the bootloader screen until this problem occurred. No custom recovery or root. I'm afraid I don't know what "s off" means.
No luck with just removing the SD card. It still is stuck in a reboot cycle.
The last thing I remember doing is rebooting it (by holding down the power button). A couple apps had been a little sluggish that day, so I thought a reboot would help. I rebooted and put it in my bag. I don't think it ever recovered from the reboot.
Thanks again.
go to fastboot mode and enter:
fastboot rease cache
then try to boot.
If that still fails, put the flyer in fastboot mode and run the correct RUU for your device.

[Q] HELP !!!! tmobile HTC One S Rom

Hi i have a problem my son decided to root my phone with out good knowledge of the whole
thing he watched a You Video and became a expert (lmao) so the aftermath is now i have a
phone that wont get past the HTC White screen at the start up .
So what happened is he unlocked the phone using a program called "HTC ONE S All in one
kit by Hasoon2000 v3.5"
Flashed recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.2.4
so when it starts like i said it gets stuck on the white Htc screen and i have to push the
vol down and pwr button to shut it down then re apply the same 2 buttons to get it into
recovery
I Cant seem to find clear instructions on what to get for the rom like Ice Cream
Sandwich , Trickdroid and what i have tried has failed which is as follow
i have re installed ginger bread on a at&t phone i had a while ago from a bad jailbreak
but it was easy i went to pan techs website they had the download there and it was simple
HTC i have noticed is a confusing site that doesn't give me a clear download
i have installed recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.2.4-ville.zip
In the fast boot usb recovery and in the cmd line with adt-bundle-windows-x
i have tried multiple roms like
-TrickDroid_9.1.0-9.0.0.zip
-PJ4010000-OneS
-MIUI.us_ville_v4_2.11.9_Eng
-OTA_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.5-1.78.401.2_release_
-OTA_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L
the problem is there is no O.S at all in the phone and there was never a backup made for
it so lets start here when it get to the very begging recovery part it says this at the very begging

[Q] HTC Desire stuck on startup logo and cant enable debugging

Hey all,
First off I'm a bit of a n00b with all this stuff so please could you be as basic and precise as possible when answering the question? And take me step by step of whats needed to be done? Thanks Also I'm using a MacBook Pro.
HTC Desire 300 300s
The phone is stuck on the hts logo and won't pass it. nothing happens and won't startup or anything.
I need to unlock boot loader but cant do this because I cant enable debugging because the phone won't sync to any pc or even through HTC sync because the phone cant turn on.
This is what comes up when I turn on using down volume button

RADIO -14.10.36Q4.13

I read up about flashing in a custom ROM or something but apparently I cant do this since "S-ON". And it gets a bit complicated from there for me. Please could anyone explain very simply to me how to get out of this hole I'm in. Can't seem to do anything due to the phone being stuck on the startup h&c logo screen. Tried factory resort and deleted cache etc. Nothing seems to budge it.
Thanks for reading and if you have any help for me it would be extremely appreciated!!

[Q] Nonrooted, Stock M8 spontaneously soft bricked. Data recovery possible?

Hello, I am mostly a beginner at android troubleshooting, having done little more than light research into recovery's, customs ROMs and such. I am attempting triage on my friends AT&T HTC One m8, which he says spontaneously shut down while he was looking at updates in the play store. It now boots only to the bootloader and while I can use the volume and power keys to select options, selecting any of the boot options, as well as recovery, simply causes it to reboot to the bootloader again. I have not attempted a factory reset yet, as my friend neglected to back up his data and would very much like to get it back, if at all possible. The phone is not rooted, and as far as I can tell, usb debugging is off. (My friend isn't really one to tinker with tech stuff) I installed the drivers for the phone on my windows 7 pc and it shows up in the device manager as "My HTC" but I have been unable to access the phone in any significant way. I did install Suqabbi's HTC One toolkit which was able to recognize that the phone was plugged in and could access the fastboot settings. I was able to trigger a reboot through the toolkit, but it only went to the bootloader again. I should also mention that it generally takes a few minutes (inconsistent) turn on the screen and go to the bootloader. This is what the bootloader screen reads:
Software status: Official
Locked
M8_UL_CA PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-3.19.0.0000
RADIO-INVALID_VER_INFO
OpenDSP-INVALID_VER_INFO
OS-4.28.502.1
eMMC-boot 2048MB
Mar 20 2015,03:01:11.0
I have searched the invalid_ver_info lines and it would seem that they indicate a problem, but from what I could tell it was not a very specific one. From my research so far, I'm assuming I won't be able to fully restore the phone to its previous condition, but does anyone know of a way I can potentially rescue the data? I have used data recovery programs to get data back from corrupted and reformatted hard drives before, but I'm guessing the data in a phone is harder to get to? I also have a Macbook running OS X Mavericks (I believe) and a machine with Ubuntu Linux on it as well, if either of those operating systems might offer a solution unavailable on windows. Thank you for your help, and hopefully my friend isn't out of luck. But if so, at least then I can try to get it functional again for him.

Android Stuck in Boot Loop >Factory Reset Fails Have tried almost everything!

Hello all! I know this is an old issue and the phone that I have is as old as life it's self but I hope that I can find some help here! I know there are sever threads covering this issue but I have not found any that covers the ENITRE issue that I am having.
Okay, now for my problem....
Of course my phone died (battery). I put it on the charger and powered it up. The phone stuck on Sprint screen for several days. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I was unable to use recovery but I was able to do a factory reset. THIS TIME I am unable to do anything. On factory reset, the phone goes to green icon and then it turns into the red exclamation. Same thing with recovery. I have tried the wipe/factory reset...I get an error there "E:can't open /cache/recovery/command" and I get that on all options in Sys recovery menu. I have read several threads on using fastboot but I have learned that there is more to it that plugging in the USB and recovering the phone.
To help answer some of the questions here are the details on the HBoot menu:
****Locked****
Shooter XC Ship S-On RL
HBoot - 1.58.0000
Radio - 1.09.00.0108
OpenADSP - v02.6.0226.00.0217
eMMC-boot
The phone has never been rooted and everything is stock.
I have seen that it can be recovered through Hboot menu but I'm not deep into this side of things so I will need detailed instructions if possible. I have an HTC Evo 3d and my PC is Mac OSX.
Same problem
I was about to post about my problem, but yours is very similar and like any good forum go-er I checked to see if there were any recent problems like mine.
I am running
**locked** shooter s-on hboot v 1.58 eMMC -boot from may 17, 2012.
I have never rooted the device or tampered with it in any way. I thought about it, but got a newer phone.
I recently got into computer programming and wanted to see what can be done with this old tech with still relevant hardware.
after starting the device it got into the OS , took me to my homescreen like normal then failed horribly after 10 seconds, once i slid the ring up.
it then got stuck at HTC screen, so i tried the bootloader, which works, so i went for a factory recovery. get the red triangle, so i look into rooting.
turns out that if i hadnt checked usb debugging and unlocked already, i cant get in to do anything. is this a soft-brick hard-brick case?
i feel there is hope, but the lack of response to OP after this time leaves me disappointed. I've spent many hours trying to find a solution to this problem, but it is way beyond me.
i tried finding signed copies of PG86IMG.zip for hboot 1.58 to no avail, only option is RUU which won't find the phone on windows 10. drivers are out of date, perhaps.
Installing linux now to hopefully get access to that file system.
Would really appreciate the help, devs. this is a great device would be a shame that NOT tampering with it would leave me and OP with a brick.
thanks for reading and thanks in advance for consideration and advice.
dunno, maybe try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1653777
virgin evo 3d has no downloadable current ruu to flash, and you guys are s on which won't let you flash older ruu to reset your system. which makes it difficult to fix.
