Oh sorry that is right, I did see the mexico telcel firmwares. I forgot to mention I am using an AT&T S4 Zoom. Is it able to use the Telcel firmware?
The AT&T firmware is not available, have to go to an AT&T Service Center. Telcel firmware will not work because AT&T locked the bootloader, and either flashing fails or soft bricks your device. The AT&T version is also the only S4 Zoom to never have seen a single OTA update.
My advice is if you can get it flashed back to stock, get rid of it and get any other version.

hi
purchased a bell i717 with official bell ics installed.
tried to get it unlocked but fastgsm and cellunlocker could not unlock via usb or iemi.
found a user in anothe i717 thread unlocking but had to revert back to 2.3.6
i now canot get kies to update to ics official.
what i am looking for is bell official ics for odin flashing.
or a good custom rom for the note.
any help would be appreciated .
i tried stockroms.net but they only have the 2.3.6 which i downgraded with.
i have gone thru dozens of threads but no good links to bell official ics for the i717
thanks,jeff
Samfirmware.com has the stock bell ICS ROM.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2
And its in the .tar format for Odin3. Get the password while you're downloading the rom.
thanks to both of you, thats exactly what i did .
haven't checked if kies will let me update but the samfirware one got me back to ics.
Kies will let you update with your stock phone. Just don't do anything besides unlock it. After you upgrade you can flash CWM and root.
OP....could you please put the word "solved " in your thread title ?
It helps other users to find solutions to their questions, and keeps the threads clean.
Thank you !!.....g
HI guys I lost my original Samsung gs3 stock rom, when I flashed a new Rom "checkrom evo v6" I'm a novice in operating android phones, I didn't have a clue about backing up and my warranty being void by customizing my phone. I have searched every website with the hope of downloading stock rom related to my phone to no avail.I'm in desperate need of having my phone unrooted and going back to the way it was. Pls respond in layman terms

Thanks for your response, first my region is ireland, and I did check Sammobile, the firmware link on the website seem to be for registered members only. Tried registering several times but for some strange reason it keeps failing. I would like to know if I could do same download through Samsung kiers and the difference between a stock Rom and a stock firmware? Thanks

I'm on the 3IE network, and running the jellybean 4.1.1, I've it unlocked all these before I rooted my device.
Both 4.1.2 and 4.1.1 (and everything before that) are available on SamMobile for your phone.
I still can't post links so you'll have to de-butcher this, but that'll take you to a listing of firmwares for your country/carrier. Choose the one you want!
wwwDOTsammobileDOTcom/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-I9300&pcode=3IE&os=1&type=1#firmware
Sorry chucky17ng, I didn't read your post properly. For your purposes there is no practical difference between "firmware" and "ROM". And no, if you have rooted then Kies will bomb out saying your device has been modified.
Your best bet is to grab the firmware once your registration goes through (or source it somewhere else), drop the file onto your phone, then flash it with mobile Odin.
There are other ways, but I know that one works.

Hello guys, i Recently bought an at&t Alpha G850A used phone in Pakistand. Everything is perfect except its not updating when i go to about device section BUILD NUMBER is KTU84P.G850AUCU1ANH8 Whereas at&t has released an update for this phone which is BUILD NUMBER G850AUCU1ANL1. When i try to update it searches for the update for some time and then says update interrupted there is no new update for your device try again in 24 hours.
Q1) Is it because i am using it on MOBILINK NETWORK (Its a local network in pakistan) ? do i have to be on at&t sim to update?
Q2) Is there anyway i can update it manually?
*note i have already tried updating after factory reset.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try to update it via Kies or download it from http://sammobile.com and flash it via ODIN. Are you connected to any wi-fi network when you try to download the firmware or just cellular data?

I have tried Kies it says this is the latest software available whereas i know it is not.
2) I have tried both, wifi and cellular.
There are no firmwares for ALPHA SM-G850A on sam mobile........at&t variant has TERRIBLE support and no root yet. There was a guy who posted a possible root exploit here but nobody bothered so my guess is this device will soon be joining the list of those phones who were never rooted.

Just a ideea....why don`t u flash the phone with SM-G850F firmware?
is it safe to do so? woudnt it brick the phone as the processors are different
Do not flash 850F firmware on 850A, there is too much diference between hardware in those phones. You will brick your phone!
Your phone is similar to :
SM-G850W for Canada
SM-G8508S for East & Southeast Asia
So maybe you can try to find can you flash software for those models...
Can anyone please confirm if i can flash the firmwares of SM-G850W for Canada or SM-G8508S on SM-G850A ?

I recently got an unlocked galaxy s9+ (sm-g965u1) and i like to at least have the latest firmware on hand incase i need to flash it. sammobile has multiple firmware files available to download. seem to be carrier specific. what would happen if i flashed one that says, say, AT&T? currently it has no carrier apps built in.

Far as I know it would just have the all the carrier specific apps and what ever little carrier additions the firmware has that the U1 firmware didn't. Granted I have the Sprint S9+ but if I go from the Sprint firmware, to U1 firmware and back to Sprint firmware and that's what happens.
Though what I have been using for the unlocked firmware is at the link below. If you download any of the supplied G965U1 firmwares from the tutorials on the forum it's the XAA firmware.

Thank you. I ended trying a U firmware and got the att apps. been a long time since ive used android on an everyday basis.
Hi. I have a Galaxy s21 from EE with EVR firmware (EE firmware) and I’ve tried flashing BTU and other UK networks firmware on it using Odin but that doesn’t work. Every time Odin says it’s passed, it hasn’t changed the firmware at all and I’m still stuck on EVR. I’ve tried SamKEY but it’s saying it doesn’t support my firmware (G991BXXU3AUGM) so I’m not sure what to do.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I have a US S21 but am also in the same boat, and sadly I think the only way at current is to wait for SamKey or to downgrade to a firmware that'll support SamKey.
I've tried ODIN flashing my US TMB S21 to try and get it working on AT&T fully many times over, but the CSC is locked up tight and SamKey was the only way to get it done for me. (Sadly, my CSC reverted when I stuck another TMB SIM into the phone and it locked the CSCs again so I have to pay for SamKey a second time if I want my AT&T SIM to work fully again. Yaaaaay.)
Samsung really needs to hurry it up with the auto-config firmware for the S21s.
I haven’t got a clue on how to downgrade it, any idea how?

(Sorry for the delay, yesterday got busy.)
For downgrading you'd just need ODIN and the desired firmware to downgrade to, just making sure the binary version matches (in this case, the binary version is the first number of the last 5 characters of the software version. So in the case of G991BXXU3AUGM, you'd be looking at "3AUGM" and in that case, your binary version is 3. So you can flash any firmware that's 3XXXX). At least that's how it is on Snapdragon models.
If you've no idea how to work ODIN it might be worth it to just wait. Plus, downgrading would incur a factory wipe (and restore with Smart Switch, which doesn't necessarily restore all settings and such.)

HK is very likely Exynos, so no. You can generally flash software from other variants so long as the CPU matches (most of NA uses Snapdragon, for example. You can't flash Exynos firmware onto a Snapdragon S21.)
