Hi,
Tried flashing firefoxos on my S2 (i9100) and now I'm stuck in boot loop.
I've tried a multitude of tricks to no avail.
Basically I'm able to flash any kernel or rom. Currently I have CWM 6.0.3.7 and CM 10.2 flashed.
I'm stuck at the splash screen.
If I try to wipe data/factor the phone sits for a while and then all of a sudden it reboots.
Any suggestions on how I can revive the phone?
EDIT:
Seems I might've been bitten by the MMC Superbrick bug,.. Can someone confirm this?

Your phone is totally safe as long as you are able to boot into recovery.
Download any jb based custom ROM and transfer it to your phone by mounting USB storage in recovery.
Do a full wipe
Flash it.

Problem is when wiping..
I just installed CM 10.1.3 (Stable) via CWM, no issues.
But while formatting /data (After quite a while) the phone just reboots.
Flash stock firmware with Odin.
I tried flashing stock firmware using odin but it still hangs during the samsung logo.
Has this phone been hit by the EMMC brick bug?
Is there anything else I can try in order to revive it?

I recently got a galaxy player 5 international with froyo. I rooted it with no problems, but when I tried to flash a kernel with cwm recovery it would get stuck in a boot loop unless i went into the cwm recovery mode. I noticed that the kernel I used, rumirand's r14, was based off of GB and thought that might be my problem. I tried updating my firmware to GB using WT Ho's custom rom, and now it just hangs on the samsung logo, but I can still get into cwm. I made sure to wipe both caches and wipe data before installing the rom. Is this fixable or have I turned it into an expensive paperweight?
Did you try a factory reset?
I am not expert but i tried the same with R14 kernel and bricked but done the same with R13 and it worked .

Now or before installing the rom? I did a factory reset before installing, but I haven't done one since.

I just flashed the R13 kernel, but I'm still in the same situation.
Instead of flashing a new kernel there should be factory reset option on the first set you have or in "mounts and storage"
I had this problem once and I managed to solve it flashing a full rom (like 2.3.5 rooted and with rj kernel). It seems some users are having problems when flashing only the kernel. After you solve the problem, flash back group rom.
I just tried the rom+kernel. It said it was successful but it must not have been because it was hanging on boot again, and now it won't respond to the power button. If I plug it in to the computer it gets an image of a battery turns off and repeats.

Can you go back to CWM after flashing rom+kernel? If yes, usually it is a matter of wiping the data and Dalvik cache. Which ROM+Kernel did you flashed?

No, I'm not able to get a response from the power button.
I used the ROM + kernel you posted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446774
So I bought my new galaxy s2 (i9100 int'l version) and i flashed a stock rom that matches my carrier and country (israel) and then i rooted it
by using CF-Root kernel, now i have it for over a month and i flashed many roms with success and then when i tried to flash cm 7 from stock i got into an endless bootloop.
now if you need to know how i flashed it so here you go:
flash stock rom (2.3.5) with ODIN
flash CF-Root kernel that matches my rom (KJ1)
move the official cm 7 (cm-7.2.0-galaxys2.zip) install file onto my internal memory
reboot into cwm recovery with 3 button combo
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe delvik cache
install zip from internal SD TWICE just to be sure
and then when i reboot with the "reboot device" option i get stuck on the galaxy sii screen
note: after i flashed the zip twice i also tried to reboot straight into cwm from the advanced tab and it still got stuck in the bootloop.
also when im in the bootloop i cant get into cwm with 3 button combo but i can get into download mode and i have been reading that when a thing like this happens it means its a NAND rw corruption
so does it mean i can never acomplish successfull installation of cm 7 on my device?
If you would have corrupted nand rw, you couldn't flash stock firmware with success.
Why don't you try CM9/10?

can the problem be envolved with that fact that im flashing the rom from the internal sd card?
cause i saw some videos that people were installing cm 7 onto thier devices from the external sd and it worked for them.

Are you sure you have I9100 or do you have I9100G? Try flashing CM9 or CM10 and report if you face similar issues.

i flashed cm9 and 10 with no problem and i know for sure i have i9100 cause all the roms i flash are for i9100 and i flash them successfully.
So basically my S2 died on me randomly, but i was able to boot into recovery so i tried to restore my backup. It then said 'MD5 mismatch', I then tried to install a rom but it said installation aborted, I then booted my phone into download mode, loaded a stock rom through odin, it said successful but it won't go past the boot screen, it just hangs. I tried flashing another stock rom but the same problem occurred.
Any form of help is appreciated
OK now you flashed back to stock rom, boot into stock recovery then do a factory reset/wipe data. Be sure your not dangered by the emmc bug on 4.0.4.

hi there!
i`m using a i9300 running on s5 sensation v6 rom on boeffla kernel v6. using touch cwm v6.0.4.6
i was attempting to do a full wipe (format data etc.) and reflashing the sensation rom due to some issues.
while fomatting, the process suddenly stop and my phone rebooted to recovery.
i thought i was done formatting. when i flashed the zip file, it suddenly switched off and rebooted to recovery mode.
i tried flashing the file or wiping/factory reset again and again and it continued rebooting into recovery mode.
any ideas on why this is happening??

Phone : Rooted Samsung galaxy S3 (I9300)
rom: CM 13 nightlies
problem: updated the cm nightly and now phone is stuck in bootloop.
unable to boot into recovery.
Phone is now off, but as soon as i press power button it will go back into loop.
please help!!!
Update....
I flashed cwm recovery using odin and that stopped it from looping,
but now its just stuck on the start up screen with "samsung galaxy s3..."
how can i or what do i need to flash to get back to the rom or recovery??
many thanks
Try flashing latest TWRP for i9300 via Odin, and then try to install the rom. If possible, instead of using your sd card, mount the internal storage on your pc, transfer the downloaded CM13 nightly and gapps (if you use them). Remember to wipe before flashing (data, cache, system, dalvik). If this doesn't solve your problem, try flashing a stock rom via Odin to at least get your phone working again. Good luck.
need to try and get back to the download on the phone.....
having trouble getting things to do what they should.
just taken out sd card and pulled battery, and it wont turn on.
