HI,
I am using C6833
I've got a problem that the power button is not pressed
I can not turn on the power
Fast boot is not working Only flash mode
Anything you can reboot into flash mode?
Had to reboot through recovery
However, the recovery by the update disappeared :crying:
Now is only charged
Can not install the recovery by flashtool?
Please help me !!

Fastboot: VOL UP
Flashmode: VOL DOWN
Yes, you can access recovery by flashing a kernel that has Recovery. The you power it on (somehow), and boot into recovery. May i ask you what you want to do in Recovery?

Hi thank you
Bet Fast Boot Not Working
only flashmod working
Can I flash a custom kernel with Ftf?
only Ftf flash
I want TWRP

You'll need to use Fastboot to flash a kernel. You can flash a stock ROM using flashmode if you want to. Just remember to un-check "data" and stuff under "Wipe" before flashing, unless you want to delete everything on your Ultra.

I can't remember the command word for word but have you tried to reboot with fastboot?

You could take out your sd card and like the last post said you can access recovery thru adb or fastboot.. I think its
Adb reboot recovery
Fastboot reboot recovery
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Fastboot reboot will reboot into the system, adb reboot recovery will reboot into the recovery but I believe will only work if the phone previously had USB debugging enabled and its halfway turned on (splash screen?).

If you can remove the sd card and manage to get into fastboot then I suggest flashing twrp as boot instead of recovery. It should reboot into recovery allowing you to flash a Rom. The kernel will replace twrp and boot to android

Why flash TWRP as boot instead of recovery ?
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Well if the power button isn't working properly and there is no usable rom, the user might be able to power the phone but be unable to access recovery from bootloader. Flashing twrp as a kernel will load twrp upon reboot eliminating the need to select it from bootloader and allow user to flash a new Rom normally. Easier then repeatedly stabbing the power button and causing more unnecessary wear on an already damaged button

[Q]flash mode

I'm sorry but as far as I know it's not. No reboot option or anything and other keys are not working. I'm sorry
But you could flash a custom kernel, boot in cwm, flash the stock rom in cwm and boot it. You're stock then
Well flashmode won't be possible, but you could always reboot to recovery via adb.
Code:
adb reboot recovery
Cheers,
AJ
Ya figured it out i Can Use walkman key to go to recovery.

Dont be afraid
Just install flashify app form the market. Download twrp.img and flash it whit flashify app.
Dont recovery from any app.
Just power off completely your phone, then hold vol- and power until you see xperia sony logo, just realease power and keep holding vol down it wil boot up twrp
I had this problem the other day. I had TWRP 2.8.7 installed, then flashed 3.0.2 successfully according to fastboot, but when booting into recovery it kept going to 2.8.7. Try flashing the latest non-rooted stock ROM with Flashtool and Xperifirm, and then follow the instructions in post #3 above. That solved the issue for me.

If you see the words Xperia & Sony in the boot splash (using the PWR + Vol-, then Vol- after vibrate), then your bootloader is not unlocked. And TWRP 3.0-2-0 installs into the recovery partition, which will only be booted into by an unlocked bootloader.
An unlocked bootloader only displays 'SONY' in the boot splash when booting to recovery.

Is your device rooted? If yes, download any "Reboot app that needs Root", press the reboot to recovery and it should work. If it doesnt boot to recovery, it means the recovery was not installed properly.
Can try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=phongit.quickreboot&hl=en
Alternatively, install this app and it can allow you to select which recovery to install. If you have your recovery installed, it will be detected.

Thanks for your answer!
The device is not rooted and it is not planed to do it in the original rom because I want to backup the original rom from recovery without any changes.
Do you know how i can check if the recovery was flashed properly?

I was under the impression that the Z2 Tab doesn't support reboot to recovery and instead you wait until the LED turns green on power-up and then you hold Vol-Down until it turns purple. The device will then boot to recovery.
At least, my rooted SGP511 won't reboot into recovery via any of the usual apps, but above works every time.

Kernel + TWRP

Hello guys,
So i've tried to flash twrp on my m4 aqua (e2303) for a few days, but with no success. I tried fastboot and flashing apps for the phone (flashify says it cant find the recovery partition, something like that). In fastboot it says that its installed but it is not. It doesn't boot to recovery (tried it with button combinations, adb command and flashify's in app option)
I managed to unlock the bootloader with flashtool and flash the boot.img with fastboot that gives root access, but no success with flashing twrp.
So i was wondering is there a kernel that i can flash with the flashtool, which has an included twrp ?
The kernels that i found don't include any custom recoveries in them... Any help ?
Thanks in advance

TWRP should be installed with fastboot if it says it's installed. What button combination did you do? Hold power button and volume down sinulateneously till it vibrate then continuely smash the volume down button. Should boot.

Well, i have to admit that this is the only button combination that helped.
I obviously did something wrong when trying to access the recovery. Thanks so much!
