Chainfire doesn't work on anything past Gingerbread (and not even on every device), which is why you had this problem. This forum has dozens (100s?) of posts from people that did the same thing. A factory reset or clearing caches does not affect the /system partition so that wouldn't be of any help after you installed Chainfire. Your options are to install a custom rom or use Odin to restore the phone to stock with the original firmware. Don't let this scare you from modding your phone, but you have to research more about what you are trying to do and since you already have CWM, utilize the built in backup function. If you would have done even that, you could have just booted back to CWM and restored your entire set up and all you would have lost is about 10-15 minutes of time.
Plz tell whole process in installing custom rom

Thats the problem friend, i haven't made a backup of my phone before installing CH3D driver. Coz i thought that installing driver will not malfunction my phone. :crying:
Plz tell me the link of original Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 STOCK ROM or Custom Rom And the process.
( I think the process may be to Download the Rom in zip format and put it in SD Card and then open CWM recovery Mod and Install Zip from SD Card. )
But I have tried to Do that in CWM-touch-i9082-chotu.tar but after doing that, the Logo comes and phone goes off and restarts again and this process goes for unlimited times. :crying:

You've got to wipe/factory data reset your phone before you flash the rom.
It's fine that you are new to this, as we all have to start somewhere, but the fact that you are new means that you should do more reading about what to do and what not to do. There is an entire sub-forum here on XDA dedicated to your phone. Any question you've had has most likely been asked and answered multiple times. I suggest reading the stickies in the General forum for your phone and there's even a Help and Troubleshooting section there.
FInally I send it to SERVICE CENTRE and got it repaired.

FInally, I repaired my I9082 from service centre at a cost of 2.75$.
They upgraded it to 4.2.2.
NOW, I WANT TO KNOW THAT WHAT SHOULD I DO THAT BOOT-LOOP DOESN'T ENCOUNTER AGAIN. ?
NEW FEARURES IN 4.2.2 (discovered by me)-
1. Changed Look
2. Settings is divided by 4 parts
3. Data usage from both SIM can be seen.
4. SAFETY ASSISTANCE is added.
5. DEVELOPER OPTIONS is hidden (Unhide it by Tapping 7 times on BUILD NUMBER. (See attached pic ))
6. MOVING INSTALLED APPS TO SD CARD IS SUPPERTED. (See Application Manager)
BUGS IN ANDROID 4.2.2 (Discovered by me)-
1. Freezing of Device (happened once) due to TouchWiz Home hanged.

Seriously...? Read what it says on the very first line of the thread about Chainfire 3D: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427 and think about what happened after you installed it. A little bit of common sense is needed here to stay out of trouble.

Hi there!
I just got my brand new Samsung Galaxy S III, international version.
I should have known that you shouldn't mess with your phone when you haven't slept the night before (I have a baby )
The facts:
It was a branded Spanish Vodafone phone. I rooted it using the Toolkit and used Voodoo to unlock it.
Then I flashed, using Odin, this firmware to unbrand it (I9300XXBLFB_I9300OXABLFB_BTU).
I used Titanium backup to restore All application and Data (I think this was a mistake). Then, when I saw Rom Manager, thought: "How nice, let's see if it works". It asked what phone I had, and one of the three options was the S III. I chose that and it tried to download and installa a custom recovery. But failed and Android told me that it didn't respond.
Meanwhile, Titanium was doing its thing and I started to see several "android.core" errors.
I tried to restart the phone, but it get's stuck in the Samsung logo. Just after making the boot sound. It slowly blinks blue and white.
I can get in Download mode, but I've tried to flash everything I have been able to think of, with no result.
Could anybody help me?
Thanks in advance

Hey guys,
I'd like to return to stock samsung rom, resetting the device to factory setting (keep reading).
Reason for this is
1 I'am experiencing fastidious UI lags issue.
2 I've done several "Restore factory Setting/Wipe all data" and I can see folders of applications I installed at least three roms ago (and not installed anymore). Some of them are empty, some are not.
Maybe my device is just imploding bacause of the number of apps he keeps managing.
Maybe he doesn't like me anymore,
or maybe he is dying of cancer. :crying:
Info about my device:
Kernel: Siyah 1.8.9
1st ROM: Samsung 4.1.1
2nd ROM: CM10.1, 20120117 build
Goal:
I'd like to return to Stock Kernel with the stock 4.1.2 Samsung firmware.
So, how can I REALLY reset my device, starting againg form where I indicated?

Anyone help????//??
The absolute cleanest way, is to do a mega wipe. Use Titanium Backup to save all the apps you want/need (NO SYSTEM APPS). Then, Factory Reset/Wipe Data, wipe internal sd card and wipe external sd (if you have one). Backup all pictures, photos and files you want on your pc first, then wipe everything. The Megawipe script can help you with this. Follow up by downloading one of the new 4.1.2 deodexed roms (Preferably LKC or LLA). You can keep the stock kernel or choose from my main 2 - Perseus Kernel or Yank kernel
Umh.. I'm not sure I got it.
First, I should remove Siyah kernel and the second ROM right?
How can I do it?
Will the Siyah Kernel be overwritten when I'll write the Stock Samsung 4.1.2 firmware?

Yes.
There is a sticky .
One run Triangle Away reset rom counter to zero .
Two flash your original saved stock rom Via Odin = wipes phone .
Three factory reset .
Four boot to download mode check status original and count is 0.
Boot phone settings about phone Status device status not modified .
Finally check there are no left over root apps on the phone .
jje
Need detailed info on this, anyone willing to help?
all the details are there for you to read
Thank you, anyway I'd like to advise that flashing via Odin doesn't format anything.
Step 0 is: Do a full data wipe (if you do it after triangle remover, I think counter will be incremented to 1, not tried though... )

Yes, yes, you are right, rest of the XDA community, with special attention to author of this are wrong, otherwise you have the headache and your nanny doesn't know what to do except from calling parents.
Would someone buy this kiddo a happy meal, please?
PS. Following the XDA RULES, especially search BEFORE posting, does not hurt.
Now im ****ed up! Im stuck at boot logo (samsung) need urgent help. it all happens after installing font installer. My phone was rooted. I want a clean format and i ended at this problem.
sometime flashing rom and than flah another rom may cause lag even the rom are really smooth. Try this, it work for me. Wipe Data, Cache Partition, Clear dalvike cache, format system and format preload. As far as i know, preload where it chaching framework. Sometime when flashing and keep flashing rom that different framework, the cache still there. that may cause lag.

If you want a clean install, without lags, I'd recommend not messing about with the fonts. Try running it stock for a while and see if your lags have gone, before fiddling with it.

Do you have a Custom Recovery? Ex: CWM,TWRP, etc
If he used the CF Autoroot, then not likely he has recovery. Best bet will be to reload the stock OS via Odin to get back to normal. You need to make sure you get the right version of the firmware though because there are different variants of the tab.

Thanks Guys.
I don't have any recovery unfortunately. I have tried the 2 optus versions of 2.2 that i found here
but both of them just put the phone / Tab in a loop at the Samsung start up screen.
Any idea where I could find some more to try
GT-p1000 originally optus in australia firmware around 2011 I think cant be sure
Appreciate all the effort
thanks

Did both versions cause lines on the screen, or just not being able to boot? It's not uncommon to need to do a factory reset after restocking with Odin, but if the screen was having issues too then that is most likely something to do with the bootloaders. Try doing a factory reset, then pull the battery, then boot into download and install the latest 2.3.6 for your tablet: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=8303 . You might have to sign up, sorry, but it's the official version specifically for what you need and if your screen flickering issue IS bootloader related, then this will cure that as well.
Both rom caused the lines & I was unable to read anything in order to do the reset.
I had afriend work on this over Easter & he managed to get it working & installed kit kat my problem now is the resolution is to high
thanks for your assistance

I just tried to change "ro.sf.lcd_density=160" to 240 as the screen did not look to good with tasker widgets.
It could not save so I followed he instruction to give full root access.
after changing the value it went to save for awhile then said failed.
After that the "Build.prop" was empty.
Now the phone is stuck on the Cyanogen mod front screen.
Is there a way to get back the "Build.prop" or how can I restore it?
Cheers
Beags
Easiest way is just going to be to reinstall the rom, if it is still on your storage. If you just wipe the cache and dalvik cache then reflash rom and Gapps, you should be back to normal without needing to factory reset. There are build prop editor apps in the Play Store. Would probably be a bit easier and make sure to save it correctly for you.
Out of curiousity - the lines on the screen was a bootloader issue, I'm assuming?
help and sorry!!

I am pretty new to this whole rooting process and stuff like that, but I rooted my phone and put the TWRP Rom on my phone. It has been running really slow lately, so I did a hard Advanced Wipe from the TWRP menu. I checked all the options in the Advanced Wipe area. Now when I try to reboot it, it keeps saying that there is No OS installed. And when I reboot it, it just feezes at the Samsung Galaxy screen. How do I install an OS on it? Thanks in advance...

Since you have installed already TWRP, you have nothing to fear. Through TWRP and ADB drivers you can copy a new ROM zip file to your phone and install it.
Could someone please tell me where I can find a ROM for my Galaxy Light. Sammobile.com doesn't have the firmware for the Light. Thanks...

Doesn't seem like there is much love for your device. I did find someone who had made a nandroid of a fairly stock set up, but you need to switch to CWM recovery to utilize it.
Unzip to /data/media/clockworkmod/backup via adb or you will need to use an external SD card since it won't boot.:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/e03mdebntt5ex2y/2014-04-23.02.15.09.zip
This is NOT a rom to be flashed, but a nandroid backup to be restored with CWM.

I did this too!
I did this too and when I used Odin to flash stock rom it still got stuck at T-Mobile splash screen. To fix this take out battery, put it back in, start it up, and immediately keep pressing the Volue + and - at the sMe time until you get to the android is upgrading screen. I have a question though, after this happened I was no longer able to make any phones calls or connect to 4G, I kept getting a not registered on network error, my imei number and serial number changed, I didn't back up my EFS, and when I try to go into settings>more networks>mobile networks>network operators I get a message saying "error while searching foR networks" someone help me. I rerooted my phone, downloaded an posed module off the play store that allows me to change my imei and I changed it back to original but still no luck. HELP!

I have a twrp back up if you want it. I will have to upload it though.
Good morning,
Today I decised to change my ROM. I installed ported to i9305 LTE ArchiDroid v2 (I had done before full wipe and backups). It was my first "Kitkat". I broken something at interface (there were a lot of otpions to choose) so I decided to "make backup" from mobile, not recovery (I had CWM). My S3 had restarted and I saw "laoding screen and loading" of ArchiDroid and every times it went to CWM. I wanted to make backup and... all of my backups were deleted. So I put The Galaxy Project on my SD card and installed it. And my phone didn't start.
It stuck in screen "Samsung Galaxy S3 i9305".
After X times I got access into download mode. I wanted to install clear 4.3 but Odin made "FAIL".
Now I have on boot (normal, CWM and download mode) this: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please select recovery mode in Kie and & again."
I tried to "repair it" via Kies but it needs working recovery mode... But I haven't :/
It has only 1 month but with Knox=1. If'll give it at warranty" can they check a flag or custom rom, installed X times or something? But I prefer to repair it in my phone.
How can I repair my phone? Please, help me.
this is i9300's forum ,are you sure you got the correct ROM for your device ? I'm afraid if you flashed a i9300 rom on i9305 you did a brick .
