international rom fully working on Verizon Note 3 - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 General

So I went ahead and risk to flash this rom. The developer said it support all note 3 models.
It is a S5/ note 4 rom. I like it. Using it as driver until jasmine updates to 2.5.
Anyways there some things of the note 4 s note that I can't use because of Knox. Here is the rom and some screen shots from me. By the way I have t-mobile service. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-t2891226

Thanks. I might give this a shot myself
?Galaxy ?Note 3?

I tried to install this on ROM slot 1 to give it a try, but it wouldn't boot. How did you install this?

I tried it on stock slot and it booted but no 4glte and lotsa bugs. . Sticking to JasmineROM 2.4.1
?Galaxy ?Note 3?

Yeah flashing a rom on slot 1 doesnt seem to work. I get lte on tmobile service. But the only bug I found was the after a reboot I loose cell connection and cant get it back.... But I'm testing roms from other variants without a kernel and so far im getting them working. We do have the same motherboard so there shouldn't be a problem on porting these roms. As of right now im porting hyperdrive from tmobile variant since its more updated than ours. Once I get it all working fine. I'll ask the developer if he let me take the porting of that here since he doesnt have a verizon note 3. Me and a friend also trying to port the sprint rom 4.4.4

What I really really really want is the liquidsmooth rom for retail edition. . Why won't they just unlock the bootloader already lol ?

do you guys know if their will be any lollipop ROMs for the Verizon Note 3? (non-dev)

Flashed on slot 1. Was pretty smooth for me, but no SMS/4g obviously. I'll try flashing NC4 radios to see if that does anything. Thanks for the find!

Thanks ,; I will try it again after work. I am using kernel NC2. I am also going to try unmodded version. First I tried v10 modded.

Can anyone link to a working kernel for this rom? Nc2 or nc4 flashable zip if available. Thanks. Found only odin versions

If it's such an easy task why don't you unlock the bootloader? If you really really really want liquid smooth, perhaps make a more informed purchase next time and buy a dev unit or a phone whose manufacturer supports unlocking like HTC or Motorola.

With a locked bootloader you will not find a flashable kernel. You can only odin flash it.

As far as I know, the GE doesn't currently support IR. That's only what I've read though. Haven't flashed and tested yet, just made a nand and backed up my apn's through tibu to try to get data working.
So I flashed this and I got a error the I had unauthorized software on my phone and I had to take it to the nearest Verizon store

So I was given an galaxy note i717 att version the other day and I'd like to use it on tmobile. You can run any rom you like if you've flashed the right version of recovery. There are several 4.4.2 roms available if you want to run the latest. Depending on your area, you may get as good a signal with an att modem. Personally I'm running the BlownFuze 4.4.2 with the UVLG3 modem, with no major issues.

Any JB and up roms, you will need to flash gapps again, but your apps will come back when you log in your gmail. Just read the OP for rom you use and there will be a link to appropriate gapps, though many are the same.
If your new though, I would advise you to read up a bit. Nobody is going to replace your phone if you dont understand and as far as I know, nobody has invented a time machine yet.

[Q] Wifi-calling using AT&T S5 with TM custom rom?

Hey now!
I just rooted/flashed my AT&T Galaxy S5 with AllianceRom - Build 3 to use with T-mobile.
I would like to know if I can get wifi-calling and VoLTE to work with my phone with this ROM or would I need to download the stock Tmobile ROM in order for it to work?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!
Your post would fit better in your custom ROM thread, where 99% of the readers will be using the same ROM. Here, only a minority of people will have any specific experience with that ROM.
Does your custom ROM include wifi calling? Are people reporting wifi call success or failures in the custom ROM thread?
Has your custom ROM been updated to include the recent VoLTE update e.g. the equivalent of G900TUVU1BNF6? If so, you should be fine. You have a locked bootloader, but AFAIK that shouldn't interfere with wifi calling. You just need the features configured in the ROM.
Given your locked bootloader, you should do your research before you flash firmware from another carrier. Trying to flash a TMB bootloader, kernel or possibly even stock TMB recovery may put your bootloader in a position of having to choose between incrementing Knox or bricking your phone for you. And we're assuming that you wouldn't want that.

VoLTE is modem specific. If you don't have the T-Mobile modem, you won't have VoLTE (so unless you want a brick, do NOT flash the T-Mobile radio to your ATT device. You will NEVER have VoLTE) I didn't have VoLTE until i flashed the NF6 (first update to include VoLTE) modem. Even with a T-Mobile device. Once i flashed the full tar that included the modem to NF6, i got VoLTE. So you will never have that.
As far as WiFi calling, as long as its present in the frameworks and ROM, last i understood, it should work. I know when i had my S4 people flashed a T-Mobile ROM to their ATT S4 and had WiFi calling. So long as you have a T-Mobile SIM as well. Ensure the ROM supports it as fffft stated.

If root is broken on your phone, then redo your root. It certainly isn't broken for all ATT phones. Nor is the Alliance ROM likely to be broken for ATT phones i.e. 900A either. And of course you can use towel root. It's a good habit to do a forum search before posting.. then you'd be able to pose better informed questions.
To use towel root, you simply have to use a pre June 3rd stock ROM as a base. If necessary, use Odin to write a pre June 3rd 4.4.2 ATT firmware to your phone.

I used towel root in the first place to get my phone to install roms. I've no problems with root with AT&T roms.
Forgot to mention but the Alliance rom that I tried to install was made for t-mobile so I can use wifi-calling/ISIS. That might be the reason why root doesn't work?
If anyone is able to install tmobile specific rom on their AT&T s5, please help me out.
Thanks!

Im on att s5 on tmobile alliance. all u need to do is rerun towel root and download busybox again. Once i did that everything worked correctly with root apps like titanium backup. Also good to know about the modem so that means we r f'd with volte unless the very unlikely att/verizon bootloader is unlocked.

I had the ATT gs4 using it with Tmobile and had the same issue and never solved it. Im not saying it cant be done but I was told I might be better off just trading my s4 for the tmobile version .. Ended up just buying a Tmobile s5 .. Also my bootloader was locked on my ATT s4 and that was reason enough to dump ATT . No kernels = No att for me
If you find a solution for wifi calling let me know. I do have a buddy with att s5 asking me about it

I posted the solution in another thread. Basically, with a combination of the OA1 ATT firmware, safestrap and Alliance Rom, you can achieve Volte and Wifi calling with a tmobile sim card on a G900A.
edit:
- added link
- be careful not to take the OC4 update from ATT, or it will not work.

You can go to About Device in the settings, and look at the last three characters of the Base version field. If you see NCE, ND3, NG3 or OA1 you're fine.
It seems that I can try to follow the instructions on this thread but not sure what ATT firmware I should be installing since new updates have been released since OA1. Can someone tell me if I should install entire Tmobile ROM including modem with Odin?
Guillaume2x said:
Guys, I have some great news. Both wifi calling AND VoLTE now work on my SM-G900A on the T-mobile network. Here is what I did:
I installed the latest ATT firmware (OA1), released earlier this February. OTA update did not work, so I had to flash the original firmware (ANCE) via Odin, and then flash the two subsequent updates using update.zip on the SD Card. This will remove safestrap and root, but fear not.
Once my phone had AO1 installed, I used this tutorial to root the phone again. It invonves temporarily flashing an earlier (ND3) kernel, using TowelRoot, and then reflashing the OA1 kernel
With my OA1 rooted, I installed safestrap. Make sure you install busybox first.
With safestrap, I installed the T-mobile Alliance Rom (build B4).
Seconds after booting, both Wifi Calling and Voice over LTE work!
Enjoy!
Guillaume

OK this is very very simple. No need to unlock sim. Download a rom from whatever service provider ie... att tmobile. The only thing you need is for it to have an aroma installer format your memory put your new Sim card in flash then go and download new recovery for the phone ie.. 900t as your recovery is 900p after then find a stock rom flash new recovery then your new stock rom and poof profit 4g. New phone. Fckn magic and I am a novice who messed with everything everyone else said with no luck best was hspa. But it would always jump towers roam no signal blah blah. Now I feel like I have a new tmobile phone 28mbs download .is the lowest I have pulled.

Just flash the recovery from your recovery or flash fire

Ok, re read again your instructions.
Flashed the stockish lollipop T-Mobile rom.
I am all ready Sim unlocked, so can't address the sim unlock.
It seems the T-Mobile rom shows the 4G icon when connected as UMTS.
Speed test shows the same 2.5 megs. I get all ready, on any other Rom.
My Verizon phone with the same Sim gets 4 times the speed on LTE.
Thanks for working on this!

First off, thank you for this thread! I have two questions. What about getting it to work with Straight Talk? Also, what 5.0 ROM did you use that had the Aroma installer.
Just pick onone you like they will tell you if he use aroma on the first page. And yes it will work for straight talk

Yes but the only one I can find is 4.4.2 and I am on 5.0. Is it okay to downgrade to kitkat? Didn't know if it might brick it or not. Just flashed a Tmobile ROM N900TUVUFOB6-frequentc, ROM for the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3 frequentc but it didn't have AROMA installer.

Just don't mess with the bootloader and you'll be fine

Yeah so I've been flashing ROMS for quite some time. In fact I use multiboot on my Nexus 6 but anyway. I have 2 Note 3s and just bricked one of them when I flashed the wrong recovery in Flashify. I am going to try and restore it with ODIN and I hope it works. I flashed Darklord's Note 5 port which was absolutely stunning till I killed the phone with the wrong TWRP recovery. The phone had the SIM not valid in another language so I'm guessing flashing the right recovery would have made it work for T-mobile. Anyway, this will be my first brick after all of these years. My other Note is booting now and I hope the T-mobile and Straight Talk sims work. If per chance it does, I can then flash the Darklords ROM and still have service? I ask because you said you can go ahead and flash any ROM you like. Edit: I am having a hard time getting this to work. Is there any way you could just tell me what particular ROM you used because now I tried the Kitkat ROM and it will not boot. Please help. Thanks!
Ok follow the directions next time I don't know if you can Odin because of adb, but Samsung has an app, don't use flashify for this use twrp don't download a T-Mobile recovery till after u flash the aroma ROM then flash T-Mobile recovery then any T-Mobile rom

I completely understand that but can you please link me to the ROM you used or any Lollipop ROM that works? I ask because I cannot find ONE with Aroma installer for T-mobile that is 5.0. The kit kat ROM I just installed is stuck on the Samsung boot animation and won't boot.

s9+ International - How to Fix SIM Network PIN Blocked/Enter SIM Network PUK

Folks,
I need help in a big way. I rooted my s9+ International several months ago and had the Renovate Ice Rom on it. It was working fine but I wanted to try out a different rom. The title of my post says it all. Since loading the other rom I have not been able to get it to recognize my T-Mo sim card (tried a new one also) to make/receive calls or texts. I can access the internet just fine. I've done everything that I could think of from doing a factory reset several times to flashing the original stock rom several times, trying 2 internet services in an attempt to "unlock" it. T-Mo is obviously no help and even after flashing the stock rom twice, I sent it to Samsung Singapore thinking that they could help but they want to charge $400 to put in a new motherboard which I declined. It's on it's way back to me.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly welcomed as I've reverted to using my LG V20 for the time being. I paid $1,000 for the s9+! This is the 1st time in years of flashing rom's that I've had this issue and may never flash another rom again due to this.
Help......please.

Thanks but as I'd mentioned in my post, T-Mo was no help. Only typing in the PUK code does not resolve it.

Thank you but as I'd said in my post, I've tried several resets and even flashed the stock rom several times without success.

I looked through his entire thread, even saw some of your postings and couldn't find any mention of my issue. Mind pointing me to the exact place in his tread? Btw, I had his software on my phone prior to this coming up and it worked perfectly.
I'd appreciate it.
Flash the devbase rom. You most likely flashed the detonator mod and that can mess with returning to stock. Also follow the advice others gave and look in tek's thread. Easy solution for me when this happened was to clean flash devbase and go from there.
go to post number 116 and click the orange here button it will redirect you to the uninstall instructions

I'm currently on the stock rom after 2 factory resets then flashing the stock rom twice. I did have tek's mod on it "prior" to the above. Wouldn't all of the above have wiped his mod off the phone completely leaving nothing to uninstall?
I've done nothing to it since all of the above so supposedly it's a clean phone at this point. So based on that info., what would you suggest?
AND, thank you for the response as perhaps you and ddloco are on the right track....

Did my response make sense? Wouldn't all of the wiping have gotten rid of tek's mod?

Wiping doesn't eliminate it. You have to properly restore or flash with a rom that overwrites the mod.

Are you saying that I should root again and flash either a stock or another rom and that overwrites/deletes his mod? And doing so "may" fix that issue?

Flashing devbase rom has fixed it for me previously. After you flash it make a nandroid and save it in a safe place.

By devbase you mean any rom other than a stock one right? And thanks for your time as well in helping me with this.

The rom by alexandr in this forum. Install twrp and flash his rom. Boot up and hopefully your phone works. I ran into a similar problem right after I got my S9+.

As you're vouching for his rom, I'll root and install twrp again and flash his rom. Did you flash tek's mod afterwards as well if you're still on T-Mobile?
I'll get my phone back from Samsung Singapore this week and give it a shot. If it works, how do I get a "donation" to you?
Either way, thanks again for the help.
I can vouch for his rom cause I've run every one of them. If your getting it back from Samsung see if it works fine first. I don't need any donations. Give it to a charity of your choosing if you want. Yes I'm running teks mod on TMobile now. Having volte is a godsend on TMobile as I get to many dropped calls on 2g and hspa.

Samsung told me that they would have to charge me $400 to replace the motherboard (yes you read that right) as a fix which I obviously declined. As soon as it's back, I'll try starting from scratch again via rooting, etc. as you've confirmed about. And I'll let you know 1 way or the other as to the outcome.
Your time is definitely appreciated.... Sabresfan.
