i have bean working on porting lewa os on galaxy win ,
1 , when flashing the rom it give me statut 7 at the end of the flash
the device boot and the lewa os logo is there but it is stock
bootloop on lewa os animation

try porting cyanogenmod its easier

I tried porting 6 times and each time i failed.. once i had got a status 7 error..may be it means that there is a problem in updater script.. i personally believe building from the source is the best way... still give it a try...:good::fingers-crossed:..
also i did some research on this and i found that using the latest version of cwm might solve the problem... are u using 6.0.4.5 or 6.0.4.7 cwm??

Without log no can find your bug.Grab the logcat from your device and upload it here

status 7 error means there is problem in ur updater script
try it from jasp next level rom copy that whole meta-inf folder and just modify updater script and all files like update binary bla bla keep emm with ur ported rom and remove ur meta-inf folder to somewhere else

i hope you have not given up on the project.well today i will try all the porting stuff for last time than goodbye to development section as my phone is going for job training(Owner) for 3-4 months.can you give the link to the guide that you used to port

I have made a rom for micromax cabvas knight. I fact i have made two roms. 1 miui and one lewa.
I picked g4s lewa rom and miui kitkat rom and made necessary changes acccording to miui porting tutorial.
The problem is , it ports sucessfully but after boot logo screen goes blank.
i am sure its related to boot.img. i followed the boot.img unpack and repack to resolve bootloop problem. There is no boot loop but only blank screen.
Can someone help me.

​Bro u should try porting a rom which is based on mt6592.
If u want to port the lewa os try porting THL phone rom bcoz it has mt6592 processor not a gs4 rom coz it does not have Similar processor..and prashant is currently working on a miui v6 kitkat based rom so i think u should try porting a lewa os rom to canvas knight.
Hello, I've been working upon porting a ROM from same chipsets (MT6589). But, I cannot find a suitable base ROM for it. The ROM which I want to port is Android Kitkat 4.4.x and I've tried stock ROM(JB) and a semi-customized Kitkat ROM as a base, but it enters in a bootloop (The boot logo is repeated again and again) and it has no end. Can anybody guide me on what should I do?
PS: I've manually tried to port but no luck so I got a ROM porter but still, no luck. I'm using Micromax canvas HD(A116).

I was ported rom for my device(Oppo neo5 16gb)and this rom success booting but any notif "unfotunately,phone has stopped"
im new porting and my first port (miui 9 based on lollipop for alcatel ideal) and after flashing the bootanimation stops and the device reboots,any way to fix that? :crying:
