Dear my friends,
sounds like a noob question, or maybe a lazy one [emoji23]
BUT, i'm looking for a clean CM/AOSP based Rom with just 3 important points for me:
- NavBar Dimension customizeable
- Theme Engine
- Dynamic Status Bar
I know about crDroid and Tesla Rom, i was using cr for month and now Tesla, so far both very good rom's, but i find they're overloaded with cherrypicked stuff .. as i don't use them at all!
So i was thinking to learn myself compiling a clean CM Rom with just the 2 additionel features! but as for now, it takes a lot time [emoji30]
so, i'll flashing clean CM and use xposed for the missing things!
So, any recommendings for xposed modules wich i can use together like tintes status bar but what can i use for NavBar customization?
Thanks mates
[emoji16]
I think PA will get you covered on the applying themes and the dynamic status bar, as for the adjustable nav bar many exposed modules can adjust the size, and i think GravityBox is the best one out there because it provides you with many other features.
yes, i was Using PA on my Z2, BUT it was kind of bugy (at least the official PA, cause there is just Beta3 available) If @infected_ will update his to Beta6, i´ll try it again!
At the moment, i´m setting my Laptop up with Linux to start compiling myself (at least, i`ll try it )
Pac Includes all that you want, although you'll probably think it has more features than you need which it does but you don't have to use them all it's perfectly stable with m5 kernel

Hi all! That`s what i want talk about. In some themes I saw some interesting type of ROM. It is PACman ROM (I think you know or heard about it).
For others: this consist main features of Paranoid, AOKP and CM 10.
I was surprised, when I couldn`t find this ROM for our premium-class device.
I understand that there are not high amount of Nexus 10 owners, but we are ahead Android-comunity.
I believe that among you will found some developers who works with ROM`s. If here no such people maybe we collect some money and employ developers?
For example the main path required for ROM it integration in AOKP (a lot of features, functions and high stability) ParanoidAndroid - Settings (most wanted PA colors and DPI settings) and CM 10`s cifs.ko and utf8.ko (really working, on AOKP it doesn`t work) for mounting share or take this modules from last PA build, but I don't sure in it's efficiency.
And very important part - alleviate system (delete all wallpapers and other garbage, who need deleted apps can install it apart)
Also we can build in some interesting and important function - calibreting ROM at installing it (for example SuperSu or Superuser, install or not install some not needed system apps like Gtalk (in Russia and Ukraine it mostly doesn't uses, but it comfortable for you). We can choose what we want), Tablet, Phablet or Phone UI, Nav. Bar color, Nav. Bar button color and other that we can discus later.
I'm sorry for mistakes, I'm not english-man.

Hello there,
while I'm more than happy and satisfied with the latest builds and what this Rom already provides I'd really love to see any form of Pie in settings.
Could it be possible to get either the old 4.3 pie source from PA and use it here or the slim version?
Thank you in advance!
Edit :I've used and loved LMT but it's simply not the same.
Edit 2: I know about navigation ring, not the same.
Edit 3: It's said that 4.4 version is already out/open source.. haven't actually found it that's why I suggested the older version.
SlimPie is coming http://review.pac-rom.com/#/c/1220/
You just need to wait a little longer

Been a huge fan of Pie back in the old days!
Thank you for the info, will wait patiently!
Update : Tried PIE with Gravity Box xposed module and halo with xfloating notifications etc and to be honest I'm more than happy with what I have!

And PIE got abandoned!

Or Halo. Or Per App Fonts. Or Hybrid Mode. Or DPI Selector. Or Native Window Support. We have nothing from PA.
Right now PA has Peek And some iteration of Active Display. They are rebuilding almost from scratch.
I personally like LMT, it's crippled me in regards to working without it.
Hi there,
I love this tablet and ready to buy one. But a question is whether the GravityBox (a Xposed module) or other modules can work well on the original rom?
I'm hoping to tweak the rom.
Thanks! XD
Of course it works.
Most, not all, features work. (For instance, the Quick settings customization is not possible.)
Since the Sony ROM is rather close to AOSP, the vast majority of (Kitkat-enabled) Xposed modules work.

Wow that's really nice! Thanks a lot! :good:
Maybee you guys know how to change quick settings? Xposed module?
Isn't possible because of Sony's customization of the quick settings.
Hi,
Hopefully i'm posting this in the right place...
Does anyone know of a replacement for the Xposed modules that provide you with the Android L software buttons and change the colour of the status bar to match the app's theme colour. I like ART too much to change back.
Thanks

What phone/ROM are you using? Many custom ROMs have status bar theming options and are using the Android L software buttons.

Well, I know LiquidSmooth has the L buttons as well as Slim Recents, but it doesn't have the color changing status bar. I'm afraid I can't be much more help than that; the problem is I've tried about 20 or so different ROMs on my Nexus 4 in the past couple weeks and I can't remember what features each ROM has. But there's gotta be one that has these 2 features (if you're willing to change ROMs, that is).

Okay. I was hoping to keep the same setup due to the performance and battery life I've been getting.
Thanks anyway.

Dear LinhPhi9x94,
Thank you very much for BlurOS Release2!
Cool build !!!
Looks interesting. Is this ROM based on CM?
Can't log in to my Google account during setup, if I skip signing in it advances to the groovy blue/purple Blur logo on white background with the network speed and battery logo at top right corner but can't get past here... secret?
OK now, fourth time was the winner with a few manual reboots.
Very nice fresh look, unique.
I like it. Good job.
Does this ROM actually use 3.10 kernel?
Can we flash supersu 2.65 or above for this rom as superuser is a bit uncertain for some apps and is required to ask again and again after every reboot
Edit : supersu is working
Customization KILLS !!!
Just installed the rom via TWRP 3.0.2. The following are my comments:
♦ The customization is simply awesome *Almost every customization from every kind of rom out there is present inbuilt* Awesome work by the BlurOs team ! (P.S I love lockscreen blur, its present)
* The default wallpaper sucks though
* Camera : Snap Camera (better pictures than sultan's, my opinion)
* Root is inbuilt
* Performance is excellent. The off screen gestures are pretty snappy
* The gallery app is quicker than most
* Battery life will be updated in a day or two
* Addictive Rom ! Do try it people !
Awesome work !! Best rom I've flashed till date !! ♥in it !!
BUG :
# The system update says there is no internet connection, even when the phone has one !
Last time I tried there were some Viet characters/apps. Is it all English now?

If you're a fan of how IOS looks, then this is the perfect ROM for you.
This has the CMTE theme engine installed and has a 4 pre-installed themes you can pick from, one of them is a dark theme which I'm very happy about.
I'm going to keep this ROM on my phone for a few days to see how I like it. I never thought I'd stick with a ROM that replicates the look of iOS, but it's a very interesting idea and It's very refreshing compared to all the stock looking ROMs that are available.
Also, in additition to looking so different from all the other ROMS out there, it has a ton of settings and options that most major and minor roms have, anything you can imagine really.
Edit:
Only downside i've found so far is that there's no way to disable the Capacitive Button Lights.
Edit2:
Can't seem to delete Gapps from the ROM. Un-install them through Titanium backup, but they reinstall themselves after a reboot. Anyone have any ideas?

i installed opengapps as part of the blurOS install process - my regular filters (include/exclude) and things worked well
no major issues. privacy settings, themes work well. Minor issue - phone calls sometimes cannot be picked using the circular green/red buttons and i had to swipe down the notification area to accept calls. Also, the default theme background is white + foreground text also white. Changing to another theme fixed that issue

The ROM comes with the gaps bre-baked, which is why it's so big. I was trying to delete them so I could use MicroG to immitate gapps, but not actually have any gapps on my phone. But the normal gapps kept getting reinstalled when I rebooted the phone.
I installed rom yesterday. I'm liking the customization provided. Also I feel audio output is far better than all other ROMs i tried. Thanks. I will post my battery review later
