Liquid Smooth(Nightly 10/13) is pretty fast and stable. You can also try Carbon.

+1 for Carbon...it's my DD.

+1 for LS 10/13 build,it's one of the best LS builds
Sent from my Razr XT910

thanks to all for the advise probably i will try the liquid smooth but for now i'm testing the cm 11 m12 and it's really fast and stable

LS 10/13 is just like Ironman. Simple yet robust and complete-enough-featured (still in passion with full-pledge-featured DU though )
+1 :highfive:
btw, do you have broken speaker out problem during call session mr @welder73?
I found it iritating but maybe it is not ROM related (maybe my provider/location issue) :silly:

You're on xt910 or 912?
I've never used CM... what's your opinion?

CM-11 Snapshot M12 is the most stable for CM-11 builds but I prefer Liquid Smooth.
Here are my conclusion for LS, AOKP, and DU:
LS 3.2 10/13 (havent tried Tethering)
Pros:
smooth, stable
screen on LED notification
Battery saver mode
Cons:
Setting FC when holding touch on RAM Bar in Recent mode for new builds
Recovery from Power Menu is actually Soft Reboot
Speaker out distortion voice during outgoing call (need to be proved)
Dialpad not always showed up so you need to press back and open Phone app again
AOKP 4.4.4 11/29/2014 (havent tried Tethering and Call)
Pros:
smooth, stable
screen on LED notification
Cons:
No battery saver mode
DU 4.4.4 11/23/2014 (havent tried Tethering)
Pros:
smooth, stable
screen on LED notification
Cons:
No battery saver mode
Lagging layout update in Quick Tiles
Mobile data network mode isn’t available (can’t be change between option)
Torch is available on Quick Tile but causes FC when activated or sometimes it is N/A for Quick Tile

Thanks a lot for your help and reviews for that Roms !
i'm searching a good and fast rom for my xt 910. I'm on aosb 1.3.7 but testing LS 10/13 on slot 2.
I need a Rom for daily use, with no bugs, or as less as possible, and very customizable, because i've seen that a lot of people are changing their stock roms and i want to do the same, but it must be worth, right?
:good:

Yup that's what we need, experience sharing.
I've tried the aosb though (the ported one) and it's good enough until I installed LS 3.2 the most stable kk custom ROM I've tried. And I cant stop to going back to LS 3.2 10/13 after trying other ROMS.

I'm a little tired, I've been continuously flashing my phone for the last 10 months, and have now just settled with Paranoid Android. 4.5b4 is good, but I'm on 4.6b5 without DSB enabled.
I'm a CyanogenMod fan, but am doing some testing with PA. Seeing if lag introduces itself within a month or more - it's always happened to me in CM11 - I tested by staying on one build (clean install) for about a month, lag did arrive. Some builds took a week or two.
So far so good on PA though (2 weeks - not clearing any cache). But I'll probably be back on CM11 soon (but I'm considering calling it a day for KitKat now, it's had enough time and now I want to settle).
Also, CM12 is now the new baby. KitKat should be old enough and our go-to "stock" during the testing of CM12.

Recommendation for a good ROM

For a long time I was using the Litening ROM v2.2 which was fine apart from the occasional reboots. Anyway, I recently upgraded to the latest stable version which is v3.6 and have immediately noticed that all the video playback is glitchy. There's also no way to customise the settings toggle button in the notification bar.
Can anyone recommend a Samsung based ROM on ICS that is stable, has no problems with video codecs/playback and allows customisation of the toggle buttons?
TIA
Tweaky Rom, i never tried it but it looks pretty promising. It's Samsung based.
Oh and wrong section, these types of threads aren't allowed. You're supposed to try out roms for yourself. This thread will be closed soon. Cheers.

Yeh, wrong place to post but your new so I am sure they will forgive ya. The thing is, it is not neccesarily the rom you choose, it is how you install it and how comfortable you feel using it. Try RR, that is Ressurection Remix, I have tried nearly 23 different roms and still keep coming back to this. Remember, read, study, install, configure to your liking. Eventually through trial and error you will learn what makes a rom 'good' and what makes a rom 'bad', the enjoyment is in the tasting of different flavours. Enjoy.
This isn't development related and nobody can answer this question for you.
The only way is to flash and try the ROMs for yourself.

Anyone else flashed a custom rom for 4.2.2?

Evervolv flashed without any difficulty for me yesterday. I've yet to discover any problems with this rom. I also used Rascarlo's gapps to minimize the Google apps installation package. Adobe flash is also working without problems for my NWS radar site. This ROM will probably become my daily driver until my favorite ROM and kernel package is available and tested.... :good:
BTW, I now show 1.6gb of ram under Settings/Apps/Running... .
Official CM10.1 is working great! It seems to run smoother since 4.2.2 for me. Used the gapps from Banks.

Yeah, latest nightly seems to be working well for me. (17th)
I'm running the latest version of Jellybro, no issues so far.
Running latest CM10.1 which pretty stable and solid for me.
AOKP (2/17) on 4.2.2 also seems stable so far...
Finally decide abandon CM 10.1
Now running Unofficial AOKP 4.2.2, 1st time running AOKP, never know it was that cool! It has more customization to do.
- Better customize function in AOKP v/s CM 10.1:
- Switching between PHONE / TABLET /PHABLET UI Mode!
- Set transparency level, height & color Navigation Bar.
- Transparency level for Notification Bar.
- Layout changes for Statusbar Toggles.
- Clock position switch.
- LED light changes
- Custom Boot Animation. (Pre-loaded with stock animation)
So far AOKP was running stable as well.

I just got mine last night as well, going to try AOKP tonight.
I have ran several Linaro kernel/ROMS on my Nexus 7 and its not the magic speed bullet you might expect it to be. Maybe 2-3 % faster.

Have you had any problem with the navigation bars disappearing in portrait mode?
I tried AOKP a month ago and ran into an issue where the navigation bar buttons disappeared whenever I turned my device into a portrait orientation. Since then, I have been running Cyanogenmod nightlies and have been pleasantly surprised how reliable they are despite the moniker "nightly."

I was just playing around with AOKP. It's improved leaps and bounds since I last tried it. I really like the Tablet UI feature. I might switch ROMs when I have more time to play around/migrate settings.
(And no, I didn't run into the buttons disappearing in portrait mode.)
It's back to CM 10.1 for the time being...

[ ROM ]~[ KK 4.4.2 ]~[ FINAL ] bareBones ~ stable ~ minimal ~ epic battery

Stripped down AOKP 4.4.2 base, trying to make it as lightweight as possible. ~ 156 Mb zip
The goal is to provide an efficeint, minimal groundwork for users to customize the way they like it.
Amazing battery life.
Base install has only ten apps in the drawer! (see Screenshots section above)
- Rooted
- ROM Control
- Working ART Update coming with Android L - stay tuned!
- Removed -
.. Google Analytics via noAnalytics Remix
.. Stock Apps (see Changelog below for complete list)

Minimal GAPPS
Current recommendation is Paranoid Android GAPPs package.
BaNKS minimal GAPPs started causing FCs and other issues, so until that's resolved try PA.
Installation Instructions
Make sure you are on the latest CWM Recovery!
1) Nandroid Backup
2) Wipe Data & Cache/Factory Reset (if you experience issues, it's probably due to a dirty flash over an old version)
3) Flash ROM
4) Flash GAPPS (optional)
5) Reboot
6) Enjoy!

I got my hands on an HTC One yesterday and decided to port my project from the Nexus 4 (mako). Haven't had a chance to do screenshots yet but let me know how it works for you. bareBones is a constant improvement-in-progress.
I have not stripped any ROM control features from AOKP, so things like Ribbon and Navigation Ring are still available. Just want to provide a basic groundwork for people to customize the way they like it.

Theme Chooser is available under Settings. KitKat White is included as an option.
Will test out.
just setting it up now.
bugs-
1. the torch works, but it won't work for my app "flash alerts pro". I like that app for making a flash when I get a call / txt. But I don't see the test flashes when I try to set up the app.
2. anytime i download an app, once it's done it says "google play services is not responding". I think that's because I'm using PA's stock G-apps because I wanted most of the google apps instead of none like this rom gave. Is there a better option you recommend for Gapps?
everything else seems pretty responsive / fast so far, i'll keep you posted. I'm hoping I can get this flash thing figured out, I want to keep this ROM. PA beta's have been causing me lot's of problems, this seems to be the best 4.4 google edition rom i've found so far out of the 3 i've tried.
edit: also, how would i be able to get the volume controls to switch were you can change all 3 by hitting the settings button at the end of the volume bar. (phone, music, alarm) volumes

rom doesnt like custom kernels, tried two different ones (lunar and teamseven). Leads to blackscreens (randomly), delayed screen on, and random shutdowns on them.
That looks smooth rom.
Anyway to volume2wake and swipe down to sleep?

let it settle, a couple of charges in and the battery stabilizes. And why the hell is google keyboard using 87% of the battery
I guess I can live with this battery life, lol. 90% reading in Wattpad, but some Twitter, some video watching, little bit of Hangouts. Data on the whole time. I just connected to WiFi before taking screenshot, though WiFi was on the entire time. Was in a low reception building. Stock kernel and settings. This thing is great.

Dear LinhPhi9x94,
Thank you very much for BlurOS Release2!
Cool build !!!
Looks interesting. Is this ROM based on CM?
Can't log in to my Google account during setup, if I skip signing in it advances to the groovy blue/purple Blur logo on white background with the network speed and battery logo at top right corner but can't get past here... secret?
OK now, fourth time was the winner with a few manual reboots.
Very nice fresh look, unique.
I like it. Good job.
Does this ROM actually use 3.10 kernel?
Can we flash supersu 2.65 or above for this rom as superuser is a bit uncertain for some apps and is required to ask again and again after every reboot
Edit : supersu is working
Customization KILLS !!!
Just installed the rom via TWRP 3.0.2. The following are my comments:
♦ The customization is simply awesome *Almost every customization from every kind of rom out there is present inbuilt* Awesome work by the BlurOs team ! (P.S I love lockscreen blur, its present)
* The default wallpaper sucks though
* Camera : Snap Camera (better pictures than sultan's, my opinion)
* Root is inbuilt
* Performance is excellent. The off screen gestures are pretty snappy
* The gallery app is quicker than most
* Battery life will be updated in a day or two
* Addictive Rom ! Do try it people !
Awesome work !! Best rom I've flashed till date !! ♥in it !!
BUG :
# The system update says there is no internet connection, even when the phone has one !

If you're a fan of how IOS looks, then this is the perfect ROM for you.
This has the CMTE theme engine installed and has a 4 pre-installed themes you can pick from, one of them is a dark theme which I'm very happy about.
I'm going to keep this ROM on my phone for a few days to see how I like it. I never thought I'd stick with a ROM that replicates the look of iOS, but it's a very interesting idea and It's very refreshing compared to all the stock looking ROMs that are available.
Also, in additition to looking so different from all the other ROMS out there, it has a ton of settings and options that most major and minor roms have, anything you can imagine really.
Edit:
Only downside i've found so far is that there's no way to disable the Capacitive Button Lights.
Edit2:
Can't seem to delete Gapps from the ROM. Un-install them through Titanium backup, but they reinstall themselves after a reboot. Anyone have any ideas?

i installed opengapps as part of the blurOS install process - my regular filters (include/exclude) and things worked well
no major issues. privacy settings, themes work well. Minor issue - phone calls sometimes cannot be picked using the circular green/red buttons and i had to swipe down the notification area to accept calls. Also, the default theme background is white + foreground text also white. Changing to another theme fixed that issue

The ROM comes with the gaps bre-baked, which is why it's so big. I was trying to delete them so I could use MicroG to immitate gapps, but not actually have any gapps on my phone. But the normal gapps kept getting reinstalled when I rebooted the phone.
I installed rom yesterday. I'm liking the customization provided. Also I feel audio output is far better than all other ROMs i tried. Thanks. I will post my battery review later

looks good, will post my feedback after using it for a while.
Could you please try out the calls? I couldn't make them work in every aosp based rom (Android 9 / 10) I tried. I wasted a lot of time on that. On miui everything is fine.
I been using it from last 24+ plus hours.. I haven't been impressed so much in recent time with any custom rom. i been on miroom 10.2.1.0 since long, due to stability concern, and this rom beat it. Its really amazing rom.
Its a fast rom, didnt notice any lag, i didnt notice any heat up, call works, internet banking works (need to add in magisk hide), tons of customization, less bloats and VOLTE WORKS..
notification works great, which was always an issue with miui, delayed notification.
lastly about battery.. IT is good, better than miui for me, i was worried about overnight battery drain or doze mode problems, but that is working fine here, hardly 3 to 5% drain overnight.
only bug i found so far,
I use single sim, and second sim i only use in emergency, i disable second sim, i couldnt turn it off for some reason, but its not a big deal, i just removed that sim
Its too early for me to say, but This is by far. the best custom rom for mi5, i ever used.

Hi! I just installed this rom on my old Mi5 and it's just perfect. Can you tell me if there is a version for the Mi9 Cepheus? I would like to install it on my Mi9 but I don't know if there is a version for Cepheus. Thank you!
Hi I just installed this rom and there is not message icon and call screen don't appears. Someone can help with that ?
Edit:
Nvm I just had to install those apps.
I been using this rom for like more than a month now. I have also travelled a lot while on being on this rom. overall its good.
gps is kind of buggy sometimes not as smooth as miui, if travelling often, it might annoy you.
volte i am not sure, its my network issue or rom, when i try to send sms, it just resend them like 5 times lol. i turned volte off, so now its working fine.
