I'd like to help you with this not sure what you mean lol social hub shows all mailboxes and you can go to each mailbox to see mail the mail that came to it, if that's what you mean
2) how to i change custom ringtones and system sound?
go to sounds then ringtones or whatever you want to change...a nd itll ask if you want to choose a sound file (i guess thats from a setlist) or custom file. for example i changed my alarm to the game of thrones opening ... what a way to wake up every morning!
3) What's the benefit of rooting? is it like jailbeaking on iphone? can i install downloaded apps from the PC?
yeah rooting is basically like jailbreak on iphone. you can copy an apk file on your phone and install. actually you dont even need root do to this with GSII, original galaxy required root to install your own apk but this doesnt... awesome haha
4) Whats the best sat nav software? i used TomTom on iphone would there be a version for Android?
android has A-GPS. i dont know why you'd use any other gps. unless youre asking about a gps that can store maps into the phone so you dont need data connection (like a dedicated GPS would do)
Thanks

Whats the best sat nav software? i used TomTom on iphone would there be a version for Android?
Need to ask Tom Tom but farly sure non in the pipeline .
Co-Pilot is Android as are a few others and Google maps has navigation .
I use Co Pilot as it has stored maps the rare times i use sat nav .
.
Google maps navigation will require a constant data download to connect a route .Though it may cache enough before on a short route .
Galaxy S2 and 1 both have hardware standalone GPS plus A-GPS .
GPS as a standalone sat nav unit with A_GPS used to enhance signal from network towers and WiFi .

Hi,
Thanks never looked at the social hub before that's what i meant - I should really look at the standard apps more before purchasing additional apps.
With the Sat Nav I want to have the maps stored on the device and don't want to cache them over 3G what would be the best to get compared Ndrive, Co Pilot, etc...
Thanks
Hello all,
This might be a crazy question. I have the following:
Asus Transformer Prime
Galaxy Nexus
I was wondering if there is a sych program for android devices, where as on Wifi, or using digital dropbox, if I install something on my Prime, or cell phone, the OS could be mirrored to the other device cuing an automatic install from the Google Play Store. Essentially, I'm looking for an app that would mirror the installations on my Galaxy Nexus to my Transformer Prime, so each devices looks the same in the OS, and has the same programs. I'm looking for an app that will help me avoid the Data entry redendency for both themes, and apps.
Would I use a theme creator to match the look and feel for both devices? What could I use to mirror the apps and new files I create?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hi Dave,
There's DataSync, which I use to sync application data between my Prime and my Galaxy Nexus.
I'm not sure if it only syncs application data or if it does also have the ability to share the .apk between devices, so you'll need to look into that. It does have the ability to sync files and folders though, so maybe you could sync the folder that contains all your theme files?
The good thing is, DataSync has a free version and a paid version with a few more features; you can try it out without worrying about the 15 minute refund window. There are other applications like Titanium MediaSync but I like the fact DataSync follows the Android 4.0 design guidelines and has specific UIs for both phone and tablet.
Unfortunately, you do need to be rooted in order to use DataSync but pretty much all syncing applications will require root in order for them to access other application's data.
Cheers,
Mark
Is there anyone who is working on apps for the LG G watch? I'm thinking about buying this smartwatch but at this point it can't do much things. It's only good for reading notifications and using Google now. I would like to see apps like on the Sony SW2 to read my e-mails or use a calculator maybe to send messages (voice typing not supports Hungarian language).

As far as I understand it, most apps tie into a built in API and are able to communicate with the Wear device without the need for any app to be installed on the Watch, they simply know a Wear device is connected and send the relevant info. We may not need to install any apps directly on the G watch.

I don't know. I expect the operating system takes up a lot of it, I doubt its 4GB of useable storage.

And then why is the s400? I think nobody will play games on his watch.
They said that the Watch will be open to third-party apps dev. So yes, there will be apps, that's also why there's 4 gigs.
Top tip: When searching the Play store for apps, use the search string "android wear" (WITH quotes). Don't rely on the minimal selection that the Wear app itself returns.
Sent from Nexus 5 or 7.

Could you please specify the way "how"?
Since GF don't sync with non-Samsung phones (but works with other Android - almost all, but no data sync) this question is very important.
Thanks a lot for future answer.
I dont think there is a way to get the data from gear fit manager app. I did quick trails yesterday, you may be able to get Heart rate data, but i havent looked at the raw packets. I have plan to add this feature in my app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-fit/themes-apps/openfit-source-gear-fit-application-t3005697
This is absolutely good news, jareddlc!
If you add this and little more other functions, Open Fit will be better than official GMF.
Can you try to find the way to export other data too?
Thank you for your work, man
Hi,
there's a place where I can find some good app (apk) modified to works on my Amazfit Pace? I've already installed ADB...
Don't think so, Android wear app don't work on Amazfit
Yes, it is possible. The info was provided in another forum (requires registration), for watches that use full Android instead of Wear, like Amazfit Pace. I've found this info here:
http://amazfitcentral.com/2017/11/16/use-android-wear-apps-amazfit-pace/
I have successfully ported some, it's not that hard. Most apps for AW 1.5 that doesn't require the companion phone app to work are very easy to install on Pace.
Thanks!

Here you go
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1sGPfjtSJQfd_9-Dx3HucT-J-zG2YskHF?usp=sharing
These are all apps that I found on forums and such while looking for Pace compatible apps. They should mostly work (I haven't tested all of them). As far as I know all of these apps are free. If anyone is the owner/developer of any of these apps and would like me to remove them let me know.

I have been looking for "A Scheduler" application for Amazfit Pace where I can schedule an appointment a month or 2 months later, an an alarm or alert will notify me at the scheduled time.

This apps works well with small round displays, and can sync over wifi so you can use your computer or phone to enter data and read it on your watch:
- TickTick (very good reminder app even in free version, can connect with Twitter or email account)
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ticktick.task
TickTick usually uses RAM while on background (needed for sync and notifications, of course), otherwise it performs very well. I just wanted TickTick to remove the top bar when scrolling an item when viewing it.
Tick Tick Installed on Phone
Hi
Thank you very much for the reply.
I just installed the Tick Tick in my Mobile phone, but this app is for Mobile phone and not for Amazefit pace watch.
Is the Mobile app able to remind me on my Amaze fit watch.
Thanks in advance.

No, install it on both phone and watch, you will use WiFi to sync data using Twitter or email account.

No, it doesn't work, it doesn't support Android 5.1 (the version on Pace). But you know you can upload GPX data to watch and use it, right? If you need an offline map, you can try OsmAnd or Galileo (version 1.6.6 works very well on Pace).
do you have link to pace apk for Osmand and Galileo?
Stopwatch wear app
Hello,
I tried to install the ported stopwatch wear app (StopwatchTT.apk) to stratos but if gives an install error (not supported)
I can't get android studio to work (Error:Android Source Generator: Error: Can't find bundle for base name messages.AndroidJpsBundle, locale nl_NL ) and i don't know how too.
Somebody here who can make it work for Stratos or give me some guide how i can make it work with Android Studio?

Hello. Did you read my previous comment? You must download and install the regular app (the same used on phones) to the watch. Then open it and choose the account to sync it using WiFi.
If you need help installing apps on watch:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/amazfit-pace-enable-app-list-install-t3639617
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo-SIiBa25w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR-j_aCsu_A
Once TickTick is installed on watch, connect with your Twitter account (you must have done this on phone too, same account, so it can sync to watch). You will need a browser, I recommend installing XBrowser on watch too, it is small and works well. You may want to install PaceOn too, it turns WiFi on and keep the screen on so it doesn't disconnect.

Sorry, but I don't like to apps outside Play Store. That said, I have used files downloaded from APKMirror or APKPure (I can't guarantee this one is safe), OsmAnd is version 2.5.3 and Galileo Free is 1.6.6.
Regarding hiking, I have tested both regular apps (the one that runs on phones) and they work somehow on Pace too, ViewRanger is very sluggish, but AlpineQuest runs surprisingly well (only the paid version records tracks tho):

Hello,
Since there is no possibility to add a custom workout profile (cardio, weight training etc), it is possible to install Endomondo or Sports Tracker apk on the Pace 2 (Stratos) and run it to track indoor workouts like weight lifting, cardio etc.? If it is possible, then would like to know if I can also port the daily tracking metrics to those apps? This is the only feature that I'm missing and it is stopping me to buy this wonderful watch.
I think all they have to do is add a feature to add a custom workout profile and allow the user to choose the data points in the same way Garmin allows.
Please help.
