Hello All,
I recently got a Nokia J BT headset (Mono and supposedly with DSP Noise Cancellation) and paired it with my SGS2. I am able to clearly hear the other end but my voice is quite hollow and picks a lot of background noise and hiss (when heard at the other end). The same BT headset seems to work fine with another lower end Nokia phone.
Since the BT headset as such is phone neutral, wanted to know if there is a way to turn on Noise cancellation on the phone when using BT headset? Has anybody else faced similar problems?

has anyone tried using a inline mic or a bt headset on their tf201? ive tried the inline mic from my x10 headphones and they dont seem to work, was wondering if anyone knows which headphones with inline mic work with the TF201 or even a bluetooth that does voice also
Without modifications to the jack or the plug, I don't think you can use most headphonesnwith an inline mic. Bluetooth headsets should work.

im looking at the spec sheets online and im seeing alot of "1 x 2-in-1 Audio Jack (Headphone / Mic-in)" unless that means i can only use 1 of them at a time,,, which would be really dumb,,, as for bt ive can only hear stuff. but the mic on the headset itself doesnt pick up sound. it only pics up from the tablet mics
Don't have a bt to try, but I do have cheap earbuds with a mic, doesn't work and the ATP's manual suggests it can only do input or output on the jack.

I just purchased a pair of Turtle Beach M5 headphones that has an inline mic with control talk. It works great with my HTC Evo 3D, but the 3.5mm 4-pole/3-ring plug doesn't fit into the TF201's audio jack as the last ring and pole are exposed. The audio out works, but the bass level is too high and the treble level is too low. Disappointingly, mic-in doesn't work.

i tried my bt headset but also only audio out works, mic doesn't.
i didn't look into it more detailed but would be happy if bt mic would work, as the built-in mic isn't that brilliant
I figured out that my test was flawed and that I couldn't tell whether or not the audio was being picked up by my mic or the TF201's mic.
I tried a Plantronics Gamecon headset which has inline volume and mute contols along with a 3-ring adapter. With the mute turned on, no audio was picked up by the headset or the TF201's microphone. Thus, with the mute off, the audio must be getting recorded by the headset's microphone.

I racently bought a Marshall Minor earphones but it doesn't fully work with my xperia neo. I cant use the mic. Is there any way to fix it
The earphones themselves should work just fine, just not the mic and that's because for a phone a mic isn't just a mic, it has to have the software and settings necessary to control that mic but phones only have the settings for their mics to work. It's not that same as a computer where you can just stick in any old mic and and it will work. A phone has to know that your earphones actually have a mic and since it doesn't know these earphones it doesn't know there's a mic there and you can't tell it there is one.
Short version: You're screwed, the phone will never recognize that mic.
So it's strange I didn't see any post like this one...
Is there any way to use a bluetooth speaker in addition to the internals speakers ?
When you connect your bt speaker, the internals ones are shutdown.
I wish I could use the bt one (to add some medium and bass) and the 2 internals of the nexus 7 (for the trebles and not loose the stereo sound).
Anybody have an idea?
Thanks
So, I got an old pair of skullcandy earbuds with a built in mic (dont know what types exactly) but the mic doesn't work. I don't want to say it's the earbuds themselves because ive had the same exact problem with other earbuds. Whenever I record audio with the mic, there's a high pitched buzzing sound. I have tried everhthing from cleaning the headphone jack, to turning on TTY VCO. I dont have this problem with my other pair of earbuds, the only problem is that those ones are broken and I can only use them as a mic. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
