[Q] minimal root just for Titanium Backup - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I've rooted my droid phones for years. This is the first one that ran good enough that I never ended up doing root. Now that it's been out a long time, what is the most simple and safe root method so I can use titanium backup? I'm not interested in custom ROMs, kernels, and the other stuff now a days. Too addictive [emoji13]

I know that towelroot is a one click rite from your device so no need for a pc. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2790108 Give this a once over and see if it sounds like something you might wanna try. If not you can always go with chainfire and odin http://www.xda-developers.com/tag/chainfire/

I appreciate the link and see you wrote it. However that is way over 90% of the users head I would think. I found it was super easy by following the 8 steps here:
Download CF-Auto-Root package and extract the zip: CF-Auto-Root-hltespr-hltespr-smn900p.zip
Enable USB Debugging again.
Boot the phone into Download Mode.
Launch Odin.
Connect phone to computer.
Click AP and select CF-Auto-Root-hltespr-hltespr-smn900p.tar.md5.
Hit the Start button.
You’ll get PASS! message on Odin and your phone will reboot automatically.

It was fine till I downloaded Odin 1 Click download.
After that, the ohone simply won't turn on!!
Whats wrong? And What to do next?
forced download, the device is begging you to flash something.
Plug it in, odin it, and make sure you are flashing the RIGHT ROM for your device's model.

Yes, I did.
Then I downloaded Odin 1 Click, which was suppose to stock ROM it. Instead, created a new problem.

get odin 1.85, kill all kies applications running on background and plug your device (power it first).
And make sure it's charged.

question about rooting

Ok so this may have been posted before but I've been searching and can't find anything.
So I got my note 2 when they released and I did the first "root" method available which I think was odin. Not really root with a custom recovery however I don't think. See the following screenshot to see what I'm currently running. Its been fine until now so I never re flashed anything or install twrp or anything.

Lately its been running slow so I want to fully root and install something along the lines of the latest Clean Rom. I had cleanrom on my Rezound and I love his roms.
Only reason I'm making this thread is because I'm not sure where to start because I don't think I'm stock yet I'm not "really" rooted.
Dont want to mess up my device.
Thanks!!

Sounds like you are rooted, but your bootloader is still locked. In order to flash ROMs on Verizon you will need to unlock the bootloader (unless you did that via Odin the first time around). From those screenshots you won't be able to tell if you have unlocked the bootloader...as far as I know the only want to check is to boot into recovery. If you see TWRP or CWM you are set...if you get the stock recovery you need to follow Adam Outler's original unlock method as you are on baseband VRALJB. To access recovery power off the device and then press volume up + power button + home button simultaneously. Whatever boots up will tell you what you need to know.
stary by reading the stickies.
Yea I believe I'm still on the stock recovery.

[Q] Problem rooting my S2 with SuperOneClick

Can anyone help me proceed?
PS: If i force close the program since it froze will it affect my phone or something?
I think you can safely force close it. Which firmware are you on? Why are you rooting your phone? Are you planning to install a custom ROM?

I'm using Stock 4.1.2 (as always) and i have been looking around those useful apps which pretty much always happends to require root, so i told myself "why not, it's one click away", right?
I suggest you try this method then:

Thanks for your help but i'm not that power user and i don't want to deal with flashing , kernels , triangles etc.
This "one click" method seemed okay with me and if i can't get it to work - i'll just remain unrooted and that's it.
I just want to be sure that freezing on step 5 didn't affect my phone at all!?

It shouldn't affect your phone, but I can't guarantee anything.
To be honest, the method I suggested is a lot more easier then the SOC method you tried. You never know how sweet candy is until you try it out yourself.
I seem to recall something along the lines of 'SuperOneClick won't work with anything > 2.3.6'. Put it this way, the thread hasn't been updated since just after ICS came on the scene. Take the advice you've been given & root your phone in less than 5 minutes with another method.
Edit - Using a method like that on firmware it's not meant to be used on given the level it works at (ADB) could bork your phone much more easily than other root methods which actually work.

I've tried Frama, Kingo and rootkhp all without success.
Any help?
Thanks
MAC
Are you sure that you have tried all these steps?
Thank you for the reply.
Yes, I have tried all those steps. When Framaroot runs I get a pop-up that says "Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in Framaroot"
Any other suggestions?
MAC
when i look at device list that can be exploited by framaroot here http://framaroot.net/devices.html, i cant find z320 anywhere. maybe we should wait for some more time for the developer team to work more effort.
Is the bootloader unlockable? Do you have stock images for the device? If you do have stock images and unlockable bootloader you can create a rooted image and flash it via fastboot. Just ask chainfire if it is okay for you to use his app and binary . And for how to unpack an image, google! How to repack, google!

I am not going to promise anything since I have school starting tomorrow and a bunch if tests but, if your bootloader is unlockable and you guys have stock ROM images I might be able to do it though I don't have the device to test on

Hello everyone this is my new themes for Ticwatch Pro TWRP recovery
Note: TWRP recovery itself it's not my work i only add themes to the recovery files
*This is complete twrp file with theme
*So you must flash it like you do when you want to install TWRP for the first time
*Please do some researsh to know how to flash TWRP if you dont know how
*Enjoy it!
Download and install:
- Download (HERE)
Just flash the file via adb
- Fastboot flash recovery (revovery file name).img
It's been 6 months and no one replied? Maybe because it's hard to find anything on TicWatch Pro. Whatever I'm looking for usually leads me right to the same TickWatch root thread. I'm not listing it because I'm sure anyone with a TicWatch knows the one I'm talking about, lol.
I'm about to try these themes and will let you know.
Edit: Awesome! I'm not sure which one i like the most but I think I'm going to flash the Xbox one. I booted both and both are as nice change to the usual TWRP. Thank You for making them. I just got my TicWatchPro 4G about a week ago, my first smart watch.

It wouldn't happen to also work for CatShark would it? I tried flashing NetHunter for CatFish but it failed. One having 4g and the other not must make them night and day when it comes to software I'm assuming.
Would you happen to know why Stock Firmware is impossible to find? I rooted my watch so fast I don't know what stock is even like, lol.
