so i flashed flashingdroid rom on an sgs3 and all is well except wifi.it's showing my router.i entered the password and sometimes its shoting 'connecting,,,' but it never connects....how i can fix it? i tried to do full wipe,reflash the rom,switch kernel but still not working ...i need to change some permissions? please someon help me

go to QS rom thread and there is a wi-fi fix on the first page I think,download it and flash it,then see if the problem dissapears

My phone does not go into lock screen mode any more! Can anyone help me with this?

I had this issue yesterday, I think. Try reflashing your ROM without a wipe. That fixed it for me.

Also, the Android keyboard is acting weird and there is no auto correct working anymore! I tried changing the settings to very aggressive, it is substituting my address book names instead of words!
What do you think I can do about that?

I need your help. I have a german Flyer wifi/3g with official HC OTA.
Once, trying to connect to WIFI, it rebooted. After that every time I tried to connect it went in reboot immediately after\at the stage <retrieving IP adress> I did hard reset and it has helped for some time, then the problem returned. I did not want to do a HR again and I put the Flyer through a series of reboots, changing some settings in connectivity section and that helped. But I have fear, that it can repeat.
Is there any solution? Has anybody heard of such behavior?
P.S. I saw the description of the same problem on one forum, but there was no solution for that. But it shows, that I'm not alone

Just try and delete saved wifi list first.... and then try reconnect if this doesnt work.... do a factory reset .... in setting if this doesnt work then u have to go unofficial flashing rom n all ... all the best

changing encryption on router, or even changing the router can help
Hi, i have some problem with Data Network.. Sometime it just drop down, and i have to reboot the phone to have it back .. I try to disable then re-enable it but nothing, i really have to reboot the entiere phone ..

I have frozen some apps, like Allshare and Gtalk/Google+
And just frozen SecPhone.Apk and MAPServicesamsung.apk
I tried to unfreeze one by one but it didn't solve my problem.. So i don't think it come from there.. But maybe i'm wrong ?
Anyway if someone have a solution to my problem thanks to share it with me ! :good:
Edit: Everything is ok with my APN i already checked it, and configure it from my carrier website.

I think I've messed up again. Whenever I try to turn my wifi on, it gets stuck at the "turning on" status and then crashes after a couple of minutes. I have no error messages. It just closes after some time. The last thing I remember I did regarding wifi was to recover a stored password using Wifi Password Recovery App. Then this happened.
My phone is rooted and I have cwm. I've tried basic troubleshooting like power cycling, deleting wpa supplicant file (found in a post somewhere), tried turning wifi on using allsahare play, untweaking internet, but they just didn't work.
I'm ready to flash a stock ROM. But I'm just curious if you have any other suggestions before I do it because I've read some posts saying that reflashing didn't work as well.

I guess no one has the solution yet. But I have discovered something, and I hope this would help. I found the file, init.qcom.wifi.sh, using root browser. I executed it and I got a script output stating an error. WI-FI chip ID is not specified. I have attached screenshots so you may as well check them out. Also, I noticed the files under date\misc\wifi are all 0.00 B which i think means they are empty. Please help experts.

First of all you've got to flash any custom rom available in order to use wifi again !!!
Now regarding this issue u've just mentioned I'll try to investigate it further !!!

i tried all the above methods and even when on a full cleanrom install including the jasp rom but nothing has happened please help
Try reverting back to stock temporarely with Odin, this happens in my Note 3 and used to do the same in my S2, but only with the proximity sensor. The idea is the same, replace all settings to stock and flash whatever you want after (boot the stock though and test wifi just in case).
Why this works i have no idea, but it saved my arse loads of times. I can guess some internal devices might have flags configured which could be chip based rather then ROM/emmc related, but that is only my supposition.

I have rooted the mobile and when i did factory reset the phone got stuck at twrp loop and did not go any further.. i tried restoring the backup but nothing worked so i download the stock firmware and flashed the mobile now everything works fine except the fingerprint sensor.. when i got to settings to register finger print it is not registering.. people are telling me the only fix is changing motherboard... But I don't buy it.. i think its a software issue... can somebody please tell me a fix other than changing motherboard.. please guys
