Hey xda devs i was wondering is there anyone working on an S5 Rom port for the mega?
if not could someone port one?( being as though i know nobody wants to take the time to teach me or write a proper tutorial as to how to do so lol )
but seriously it would be great if someone would id donate to the project

HI,
I was lookin for the same, but no luck.. so i looked into the s3 forum.. and downloaded S5 sensation rom.. and took all the apps frm it.. n most of them work on our mega... so the mega looks exactly like an s5. the only thing that dint work is UPSM. the greyscale works too..

I just replaced most of the system app and system priv app (apks) in my fone.. it seemed to work fine.
Im tryin to port touchwiz 5.0 to CM 5.0.2.. stil stuck sumwer..

Wait how did you port this? And does UPSM work?
Nope.. but greyscale works.. the launcher UPSM doesnt start.

Would UPSM work if I used the NOTE 3Xposed mod? I used that on my S3 and it worked...

Hi friends, this is a 2.2 Froyo rom from Kryptoner.

Rom is based on CM6
Almost everything is working. If tethering doesn't work, use tethering app from market.
(there are 2 google search widgets out of which one is not working. Use the other one.)

Its similar to Wolf's CM6 rom. Its built from scratch btw. so its not pirated even if anyone thinks so. I already thanked wolf in first post but will thank him again here.

In about phone menu, you will see mod version as GautamPW and Build number as Kryptoner. Actually that's a mistake as my friend GautamPW modified build.prop for me and wrote our names there just for fun.. sorry if thats a bit annoying for anyone

It depends on user experience. Try it, if you like it then keep it as your daily rom, noone is forcing you. I'm just wondering why am I getting so negative response?

I'm trying to port samsung widgets in this one, but I seriously want help from other developer as I am completely new to this. I'm working at my level best to bring touchwiz experience to xperia. hope you all will like it.
Like the idea, this is what you also can do:
- Make/download a Galaxy S theme!
- Change all icons to Galaxy S icons (sms, phone etc)
- Port some more apps, lockscreen, phone etc.
- Change the power widget to a Galaxy S styled one.
Maybe you can find a older ROM from me like something between V1-V4 i think it was, becouse i had Galaxy S Style in older Versions with Apps styled like Galaxy S too.

hmm. may do. i will try read the tutorial thread for starters. im really lazy and i have an IELTS test in a couple of weeks... and then a mechanics exam a week after that. I know what your thinking: time to watch ALL the movies!

marcellusbe hillbeast etc are actually more of firmware and ROM devs than theme porters and devs. dhirend 6d and his friends (cant remember names, my memory doesnt hold them) do this. ask them if u want

The link to GUIDE that you gave is for porting/making themes and not for porting LS or optimising framework files.. If you want to port 16LM you got to edit a lot of files ( JARs).... It will be very difficult... and smali is really annoying no doubt
