We'll have to see! I skipped KitKat - didn't see what it offered that I don't have and am fully happy with on JB. But I'm aching for Lollipop, though I've already heard it's got some terrible redraw issues going on. Then again, I hear 5.0.1 dropped just the other day, so maybe that's already been addressed.
Thanks for the heads up about it! Maybe the Note 3 will see some Lollipop action after all!

Ive been running CM12 on my Note 10.1 and love lollipop but really miss my s-pen features already. I think it will be a great combo when we get this.
I am beginning to think myself that I may be on of the first to be getting the lollipop update but I am under no circumstances going ota because I want to wait to see if someone finds a way I can update to lollipop and keep my root.
Sam Here. Got the ota update notification this morning. Want to make sure I can root again.

Yea I just got this new update as well and I'm excited to kno what it's about is it just me or did the key board change a bit Idk but I updated it and I'm getting a lot more signal bars
It looks a little darker if memory serves. I have been using SwiftKey as of late. I appear to have a stronger signal as well here at work. I hope this helps with the people who have been having issues with the crackling and popping when making calls.

Apparently the release was a bit premature and the offcial release date begins today (the week of 10/28). I received it this morning. You should be able to get it now.
This update to version MJ4 primarily fixes the audio issues that some were having with the phone and also a handwriting bug in the Samsung keyboard. Not sure what else it fixes or changes.

I think that this update might address the call quality issue people were having including myself. I just had a phone conversation that didnt make me want to toss the phone. I was plagued with pops and digital sounds when I first got the phone. I called Spring customer service and went in to see a rep and they new of the problem. The in store rep said that a download was coming soon...and here it is!
Be aware it appears mj4 has a new bootloader. Some reports coming in of downgrading flipping knox even on unrooted phones. May not want to downgrade if on mj4

Well this was expected sooner or later since F320L got update with Knock Code and Immersive mode. As it was when the kitkat update was rolling out, D800 first got it, then D801, and then D802 International version. Hope D802 get's it soon, because I don't want put any custom ROM to get Immersive mode

nope. went back to completely stock. after 3 or 4 factory resets and live chat with ATT i tried a last factory reset and checked it with data on not wifi. it showed the update so i connected to wifi, and i got it.
it seemed to only work without doing the gmail account and stuff. weird??
but on a different note, it hasnt been released yet. so ill be remaining stock for the update whuch should be happening very soon i hope....
LG France has revealed that there is update to be expected for D802 which fixes hissing sound in earplugs, however no information about knock code though.
Since my phone is damaged and touchscreen isn't functioning, Knock-Code isn't my interest anymore but wish you guys enjoy it.

Good news but for Vodafone Spain and they already realease an update 20b and Knock Code works like a charm. No Bluetooth bug and no Hising noise! =)
Edit: if you root it knock code still works, but when you install the recovery with autorec knock code doesn't work properly. And also we lose the feature knock on.
Also when I flashed it via pc I couldn't do a hard.reset with the.combo buttons. So I did it.via settings.

Guys whats new in the lollipop update which differs from before
bugs ?
I think my case is limited and does not apply to everyone, but there is a battery issue for some people. Our battery life went from multiple days to 9-12 hours. Not much has been said about it. I am just hoping that someone sees this and knows what to do about this and will post a magic bullet.

I've seen that happening to me initially and found out it was due the fact I was using old 4.4 watchfaces which were not yet updated to 5.0

I use Gohma 2.2 on mine so I can't speak for stock Lollipop, but I can get a nice amount of time overnight with Sleep as Android tracking running while in theater mode. I haven't checked my watchfaces so it's possible I'm still running some 4.4 watchfaces.
i've been having force closes on my watch like every other day-ish. My phone will vibrate, i try to swipe to wake and it takes a while to wake. This happened when it got updated to 5.0.
Update on my situation:
After a couple of weeks I re-imaged my phone and everything worked fine. So it must have been something either I did or a weird update. I really can't speak to what happened but I thought I would come back and at least say that a re-image of my phone fixed the issue.

Just about 10am in Round Rock and no update yet...
11:30 AM and nothing for me.
Read the last page. Unfortunately the same guy replied that said the update will not be today and that it's been delayed yet again. No new date given now. Extremely frustrating.
How is it that they already have Lollipop on their newly announced Venue 10 with the same basic hardware specs? I just hope that it being OTA truly means OTA and doesn't require me to reformat and reload all my apps/data, otherwise I might as well have used the Lollipop AOSP hack that was published here awhile back.

Oh yeah, I saw that one. Definitely fake. Wish it were real though lol.
I don't own this device but I'm curious why no one has yet built a ROM for any of the 6 Dell Venues that have the Unsigned Kernel image support, the 5 that are xx40 series I figured someone could of built a semi functional Android-5.x.x being all five are merrifield based soc

My guess people were up and waiting, someone who has already got the update could upload it for others if they wanted to, most people won't only wanting to update their own device not concerned about others.
If someone uploads it that would help, if not then wait for dell servers to free up.
Anyway good luck.
Well as opposed to the slow download, 5.0.2 is pretty snappy in use.

I unrooted and updated without a problem. So far I am really loving the update.
Could it be that verizon got so hammered from the issues surrounding the S5 update they are holding off on ours till they know its good
Not likely. I see Lollipop updates are released for other phones even the Galaxy S4.
I see people posting about how they're ready to give up on this phone because of the lack of update for one important feature. TBH, I don't blame them since I blame this entirely on Verizon. Serious lack of support here, and they couldn't even shoot a minor update for VoLTE. I'm just enjoying what I can with my phone and I'm on a two year contract anyway. If I were given the choice, I'd be grabbing the Z3 or Note 4 instead just because of more options. Until then, I do solidly hope there's something we can look forward to for just an update since it's already May now.
Exactly, figured today would be some sort of update since it's may the 1st and Friday which typically good things are always on Friday, lol. Just extremely annoyed when I need to look something up when I'm on the phone and can't.

It's funny how terribly unreliable Verizon's own network info is to their own employees. First it's claimed we'll have VoLTE for Q1 2015, and we're in the middle of Q2. And all Verizon can say is subscribe to so-and-so link to receive updates.
Still no known info...
Now you see why "root" is so important, had we had root by now we would have a custom ROM of Lollipop at least.
Verizon always sucks when it comes to stepchildren phones (top tier phone but not of the brand Verizon wishes to push).
VoLTE will be just like all of Verizon's brilliant ideas, buggy, uses more bandwidth and works far worse than analog ever did, and no one actually asked for it.
Bombard Verizon with request until VZW gets tired of it, scream loud and scream long, only way VZW seems to listen. :good:
Yup I've been Facebook messaging Verizon every day about advanced calling. Just to bug them
so the tmobile version just received lollipop and again still no words from verizon and even the international xperia z received lollipop now. wtf!???

No they wouldn't have been able to port another lollipop rom over just because you have root. Normally this is all you need for most devices but with the Z3, devs need the update to be released first before they can make roms for it.
The T-Mobile Z3 has been rooted for about a month and still has not seen one custom stock rom. Reason being lollipop hadn't been released yet by T-Mobile

Like your optimism, thought I had read that when lollipop is rooted it needs a unlocked bootloader (Zygote was a temporary solution) cause you have to be able to flash a custom kernel to gain root, our phone's need an unlocked bootloader or we will be back in the same situation again, besides makes more sense to have an unlocked bootloader.

Pretty sure we just need a pre-rooted ftf. That is the way it worked with my Z2. As long as you have root and recovery you can flash the prerooted ftf without unlocking the bootloader.

Read the first paragraph of the PRF Creator thread
"What is a pre-rooted firmware
A pre-rooted firmware is a firmware, which already includes root. This is for example important if you want to update the firmware to a version, where there is no public root exploit. To flash a pre-rooted firmware, you need a recovery menu. An unlocked bootloader is not required."
Root is required to install the locked dual recovery, hence you need to be rooted already.
Hm, just a small say here. I flashed back to the shipped firmware that our phones came with from last year (still rooted), and I'm seeing for sure the battery doesn't die as quickly as the current firmware that's out today. What I'm trying to say here is, I hope Lollipop is designed for better battery efficiency for our phones that does have it achieve a 2-day battery life sort of deal. I don't know exactly what it is that the current firmware is making our phone die faster, but I hope Verizon does some right in it.
Plus, this is already halfway through June. Total bullcrap nonetheless about the lack of update anyhow.

I felt the same way. So I did a factory reset from stock recovery, set everything up again but left it on the .44 update. The only xposed module I am using is gravity box and I disabled sync for google calendar and changed exchange sync to every hour rather than push. I'm using stamina mode with Extended Stand by, Extended Usage and Stamina Clock enabled. I sync a few google items and my outlook email. Location services are normally disabled. I've barely used my phone the past couple of days so this speaks more to what I am getting with it in stand by but I've been off the charger for 52 hours and 35 minutes and am at 52% battery remaining. My standby drain is ~.5% per hour. Which is pretty good.
edit: I'm on a moderate LTE signal most of the time, and used wi-fi for a few hours.
