I would like to know if you could help me with a strange problem, i´ve been using the GingerDX rom on my x10 mini pro till yesterday. Yesterday my touchscreen stopped working don´t know why, i´ve notice some lags in responding time, but i thoughth that should be "normal" with processing information or something similar...but try to reboot a few times and the problem remains, and the only thing i could do was entering pin number with slide keyboard.
Then i try to install the rom again, with full wipe etc etc, and same problem, even with other rom (one of Paullxxx).
Then thought that could be a hardware problem, and get SEUS and restore it...but then the touchscreen was responding with no problems, and i´ve been using all morning, about 12h and no problem at all.
Now i´ve root it again and had installed a custom rom again, and the problem backs again
Do someone know what is the problem?
Could someone help me please?

The problem was solved by SEUS, and start ROOT and all the stuff again.
I supose it was some drivers issues or something, but strange was the fact that ROMS were working long time ago, and with no modification or update, the touch screen stop responding
I am facing the same problem.I had been using MiniCM7 Pro v20 for about 6 months, then suddenly one day touch screen stopped working. Rest all was working fine. My x10 mini pro's touch screen wont work on any custom rom . I tried with many rom's. But after updating with SEUS touch screen works again .
Can please anyone please suggest a solution on this....

hi all.
i have a problem on my xperia mini pro.
i dont know whats wrong.
when i lock my phone, and i want to turn it on back, it is turn off and suddenly the S.E logo appears.
seems like rebooting back.
sometimes when i make the screen timeout for 30minutes, it will also turn off by itself and restart back by itself. sometimes it goes off and no reboot back.
i have search on XDA and found that few problems like mine.
i try few solution like take out the battery, uninstall apps which maybe make my phone turn off.
i also reflash my phone to 2.3.3 and also reflash back to 2.3.4. it just goes the same. my warranty have void as i have unlock my bootloader.
i just dont root my phone yet as i think rooting my phone doesnt help this problem.
someone can help me? i really miss my phone like the old days to tweeting and facebooking without any turn off and reboot by its own.
Did you try a factory reset? This may fix your problem. But rooting could possible help.....

i've done the factory reset before. seems like it does not really help much.
not trying to root yet coz i dont think rooting can solve the problem
Does it make any difference if you start the phone with the charger plugged into it?
...or even without the SIM card or SD card? Any difference at all?

I bought the phone over from bobo. And yes it does make a difference.
This problem does not occur whenever the phone is plugged in. However while running on battery, if I leave it be and once it goes into standby, it would not turn on again.
Seems to me it went into sleep of death.
At the moment, I have no idea how to fix it. But I've found a workaround by keeping the CPU on when the display is off by using wake_lock. However this workaround is a little battery consuming.

bro i have this problem before, what im doing before was playing music on mute for it not to turn off NOT until 0.62 FW came out and the problem was solved, it doesnt turn off on stock 0.62 fw and stock 2.3.4 but the screen when locked automatically turns on and off multiple times, its annoying..really so i decided to unlock my bootloader, flashed rooted 0.62 FW from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1440161, turning on and off phone and screen solved, flashed its respective ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373435, and now my phone is so stable and having no more problem.
i think the only problem i noticed just now is the back button (its not really a button) and the option button's light is turning off and on while screen is on. but thats better than your phone turns on and off or your screen.
i hope this helps.

I've done this too. Flashed the same kernel, and the same ROM as you did. But the problem still prevails in my phone. I still have to keep control of wake_lock to prevent CPU from sleeping while the display is off.
Btw, when I flashed the kernel, under my "About" in the settings, it still says .58 instead of .62.

you mean in the Settings>About Phone> in the build number it should have HYBROM V9 by boof not the kernel name like .58 or .62 if you flashed the kernel and rom correctly.
disable lockscreen
Try to disable your lockscreen in the settings menu. Maybe that helps

Hi ,
I am also facing the issue with phone from last week, I tried without memory card , without SIM and even change them to, I though it was software issue so I reloaded it from Sony Tool but still the same issue, cant use my phone at all until or unless I plug it on raw power. Its working fine on charging mode but with Battery its not at all working. Not sure whats wrong with it.
Could you please guide me on it, what I need to do , is it hardware issue? or related with software?
Already wiped and restore the phone as well.

(Phone is BootLoader Unlocked & Rooted Stock ROM)
The problem started a month ago, at first, when I took the phone out of my pocket to receive a call, i cant slide to take up the phone. Touch screen wasn't working. then i used the keyboard and shut the phone down. After turning on, the Screen touch worked fine again. few times it repeatedly happened over the month and become ok once I Shut it and turn it on
After that one day, when I Just took it out of my pocket to play. The touch
screen was not working and this time i wasn't able to fix it by power off. I tried for several times. Didn't work
After that I tried these:
- Flashed the Official ROM SK17i_4.0.2.A.0.62 via Flash tool ( Touch Screen Still not working )
- Flashed many Kernels (boof, Rage, KRsH) via Fastboot Cmd ( Still not working )
- Flashed Stock SK17i_4.0.2.A.0.62, a Kernel, Installed Hybrid ROM v16 for SK17i & Flashed back to Stock ROM ( as mentioned in a thread ) ( Still not working )
- Boot Loader Relocked, Updated the Phone using SE Update Service (Still no hope) :'(
I tried these several times, but still no hopes. Touch Screen & Soft keys still not working at all. Only Volume keys, power button, Camera button and Home button working.

Well, to flash it via Wotan server, requires an account with credit. Im afraid I dont have that. .. So could u please please help me with that. I would REALLY appreciate your help

when the 2.3.4 first rolled out flash from wotan is free,just create account..i dont know yet mate.
anyways,i dont know exactly what thing made the touchscreen is stoped.

Are you shure with wotan flash will work? Because i will buy a log to flash my sk17 =D

EDIT: Flash stock rom from flashtool. lock bootloader. again flash stock rom from flashtool.

, you must buy a touch to fix it,,
..

The same problem. Happens some times on different ROM's (official with locked bootloader, CM9 with unlocked bootloader)

Yeah me to. sorry for buting in. my xperia mini pro touch doesnt work anymore after i flash ice cream pureness v13 using xpria pro patch. im suffering from dis problem. please help me
My problem is quite diffrnt.....any picture on display appear broken..icons widgets all looking broken shape bt whnever i opened h/w keyboard evrything bcum normal
So is dis h/w problem or just firmware proble??

Guys it's not because of custom roms.I have an unrooted xperia mini pro which is one years old and even i face the same problem.Sometime my phone's touch works automatically.It add widgets,plays music by itself.1 month ago i dropped my phone on the floor and the touch screen had craked a little at the corners.May be would this be the reason ?

Confirmed its a hardware problem... Still don't know how the problem started :/ .
I changed the touchcreen and to now works flawlessly..
