WORKING DSP MANAGER FOR EVERY PHONEPLEASE PRESS THANKS IF THIS HELPED YOU Credits for CyanogenMod Team! Thank you!I thought I should share this working DSP Manager with you. I've been looking for this for some time and finally I've found a working version. This one doesn't force close, and it won't mess up your system
I'm not responsible for any damage you cause to your device, if you blow it up or if your house catches on fire or if you get fired! Bla bla bla...
1. Requirements
A smartphone running Android ICS ( I don't think it'll work on JB, and it surely won't on GB )
Root privileges
CWM or a file browser with root rights ( for example Root Explorer )
2. Installation
Download the .zip from the link below and copy it to the root of your SD card.
If you have CWM then flash it. ( install zip from SD card ) You don't have to wipe caches.
If you don't have CWM, or you prefer a manual installation, then copy the files to correct folders and SET PERMISSIONS! ( rw- r-- r--)
Restart your device. Make sure that DSPManager is selected in Settings / Sound / Sound Effects.
For me a 2nd reboot was needed as well for the changes to take place.
Notes
If it doesn't work, then try it with another music player, not all support dsp manager.
Just in case, make a NANDROID backup, if anything goes wrong!

i think its improves music quality. but how about calling? and what it's exactly does?
I only extract the DSPmanager.apk and put it on system/app since I've already use AC!D 4.0. It works though, thanks!

This does not effect call quality. DSP Manager effects the whole sound input of the speaker, for example in YouTube videos or in the Walkman app. You can use the equalizer to tune your sound, you can set bass level and different surround settings. You can configure these settings seperately for the inbuilt speaker, headphones and for your bluetooth headset as well.
Settings force closes when I try to select music effects in sound...any fix for this???
Also the speaker sound is comparatively lower than the original...

If you install it manually, make sure to copy all the files in the zip! And don't forget to set permission. I had these issues only when I didn't copy every lib file to the correct folders manually.

Everybody Try this one, Just Click on Ejra.bat and make sure you have enabled USB debugging by going into Settings -> Developer options , and enter 1 (for restoring your phone enter 2) wait for reboot and it's done,
please activate it by going into Settings -> Sound (don't active xLOUD since it may have bad result on low frequencies) -> Music effects -> DSPManager
Edited : Worked perfectly on Sony Xperia Sola MT27i .... My ears
It's working fine on U.
But I can't switch back to Clearbass though there's option existed but it doesn't open.

I was trying to disable the shutter and focus sound settings of my camera when I messed it up.
Device: Samsung galaxy s2
Android Version: 4.1.2
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-Jeboo_Kernel_v1.2a+..........
Service provider: Optus Australia
Okay! I hope that the above detail is sufficient now let me tell you what I did wrong.
I was successful in getting rid of the shutter sound and I was reading around to find a solution for disabling the focus sound too. Followed this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058850) to disable the camera focus sound and probably I have lost my camera.
1. I first copied the SamsungCamera.apk file to a my internal SD card folder (Using ES Fileexplorer).
2. I unzipped the newly copied folder using the same ES fileexplorer.
3. Entered the folder name raw and deleted the focus.ogg sound files.
4. Zipped it back together using the ES fileexplorer and named it as SamsungCamera.apk
5. Again back to system\app and deleted the factory SamsungCamera.apk file
6. Copied the edited SamsungCamera.apk to the system\app folder.
7. Tried to install the app -Unsuccesful
8. Camera is not working anymore:crying:
Please help!

That's easy -- just restore the original SamsungCamera.apk file, which you backed up before making any changes to it. You did back it up, right?

Yeah, I was expecting that... Here is the file I saved at some point from the stock 4.1.2:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2594409/SamsungCamera_Stock_4.1.2.apk
When you copy it to the /system/app folder (rename it to SamsungCamera.apk), make sure you set the right permissions (-rw-r--r--), and don't try installing it -- just reboot the phone.

Any idea how I can get rid of the focus beep? I got into trouble just trying to get rid of the annoying beeps.
The process what I followed to get rid of focus beep makes sense, but after I pack it together and replace it in the app folder it is not working!

Hi, do you think you could please help me.I am having a bit of trouble installing this mod. I saved the zip to my sd, then i put my phone in recovery mode. Then i pressed "apply update from external storage" and chose the zip. This dosn't install it i just get an error. What am i doing wrong?
Edit: Don't worry i figured out what I did wrong i didn't have cwm recovery installed
Will this work for SII LTE SGH-I727R also?
I've been without a camera on my Rogers Samsung Galaxy SII LTE SGH-I727R for months now. It was working fine for a long time and one day just stopped working. I never dropped it and I always had it in a protective shell. Whenever I start the Camera app (or any app that uses the 8mp back camera) it just hangs up and then gives me a 'Unfortunately, Camera has stopped' error and crashes. The front camera still works in applications like Skype. Device is running Android 4.1.2
So far I've tried:
* 'Clear data' and 'Force stop' the Camera (v1.5) app in Applications. The cache is always 0.00 so I can't clear it.
* Software factory reset (several times, sometimes entering setup data, other times leaving it blank, sometimes connecting to wifi and trying to get an update etc)
* Recovery mode and Hardware factory reset
All produce the same error so I was wondering if I should try this camera rom? Will it work for the SGH-I727R?
Was also thinking about flashing it with Cyanogenmod 10.2, mostly to play with CM but also to see if that for some reason fixes it.

I don't get what you mean by almost normal.
What I mean is that it didn't work flawlessly, it froze from time to time, but most of the time it worked good.
So I'd been using a replacement Z ultra for a few days after cracking my screen and receiving what I'd assume was a refurb. Now no media will play, all forms of applications that can source media from all different paces can't play anything. EG facebook videos throw up an error, walkman app when selecting a song will skip each song on an album one at a time, yutube videos "There as an error"
My question is, has anyone encountered this before, or how would I go about trying to diagnose it, I've already factory restored along with flashing a CE firmware, along with restoring to my first TA backup., to no avail.
Thanks.
This is happening to me too I messed with the media xml
Hope I can fix this root and locked bootloader my Xperia is mute
No more tinkering for me pure stock

That's what's really odd, surely restoring to factory, flashing a default ftf or anything else should fix it.

I'm pure stock just root, I went to copy the media_paths. xml and my sound is all gone so we're both facing the same issue.
I made a copy of the default xml but when I put it back, still no sound, YouTube error and songs skipping really fast.
Hey bro I fixed it myself.
Here is how.
If you need the original mixer_paths.xml I can provide that. You must delete the file you want to replace and not overwrite it.
So in my case I wanted the volume increase what I did was download it, overwrite my original and reboot and had no sound. You must delete the current mixer_paths.xml completely off your phone and then install the custom one.
So again to regain sound
Navigate to device, system, etc and delete the mixer_paths.xml before placing the new one DO NOT OVERWRITE
Have you deleted the file named platform.xml in system/etc?
Please double check it and make sure the permission of that file is 644.

Hi friends.
I have experienced a problem with connecting my phone to the car by Bluetooth, it connects but just audio streaming, no phone functions. So, it happens in any ROM after 16s, custom or Stock ROM, is the same.
In the previous versions, it works completelly and full and nice, but when I use a ROM with a newer version, the BT doesn't work properly with my car.
I have tried OTA with the stock Chinese ROM, from the 15s (working great) to the 20s(doesn't work).
Any developer here, know which changes in BT files from that version to the latest ones? or if there is a way to flash something from the 16s, that stuff is my only problem.
Thanks for your help!!

Yes. Do a backup and try it. For me its worked.
I can connect my car audio now
Here is a picture how you set the permissions. Use for this "Root Browser" from Play Store. Navigate to /system/lib/hw and copy here the 'bluetooth.default.so' file, overwrite it, and long tap the file -> Permissions -> [set like in the attached picture show ] -> ok. Now reboot your phone, and its work.

But this solution can to resolve my problem of connection bluetooh? I can not call them to receive calls from a samsung s3 gear, all other functions are perfect.
Try with an old version of EUI, maybe 15s or 16s, if it works normally with you device, so you can apply this solution.

A few days ago, there was an update from zhuhang for the already released Viper4Android 2.5.0.5. It addresses the issues that a lot of people are having with getting V4A working under Nougat. I tested it with my ROM, and the driver installed without error. So then I decided to make a flashable zip that would preinstall the driver and save you a few minutes plus a reboot. Other than possibly needing to grant Storage permissions in Settings, this is a quick flash and go.
The zip that should work on any LG-based ROM, and possibly on AOSP-based as well. Just download, flash in TWRP, and reboot. You may need to grant Storage permissions in Settings.
XDA Thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
V4A Blog Site:
http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=31
I [obviously] didn't create V4A, but if you include my zip in your ROM, please give a mention and link back to this thread.

Thanks for this.. I'm sure many will get use out of it..!
Not sure if I did something wrong or not - but I can't get it to work.

Flashed in twrp. Granted root permision.
go to SuperSU / un-check Mount_name spaces separately / under the settings. turn on adb debugging.

You shouldn't have been promoted to grant root access. V4A only needs root to install the driver, which is preinstalled.
If you're being prompted to install a driver, the ROM likely uses a different conf file to control audio.
Sent from my iPhone 7 Plus using Tapatalk
He built and ported to magisk recently. Has a module you need to install then install Swansong
I haven't played with it yet. I like the new app but dont see a diffence in drivers from 2.5.0.4 to 2.5.0.5
Magisk has a compatible module in his downloads via the app that works with my rom (2.5.0.4)
I install that via magisk manager then i pulled the latest viper4arise.apk and installed instead of the older ui viperfx apk that is linked on the downloads page inside magisk manager.
Driver installs correctly for many others as well. You may need to dirtyflash my rom and start over. Magisk manager also received a update yesterday via playstore. The process on phh or magisksu as its now called is different now as its "systemless" vs modifying the actual system files.
If you dont want to go 5through the hassel of above. Just go to developer settings inside of the viper apps settings and turn off selinux and recheck driver status. Im 99% sure it works this way but ive said it before, i wont push the rom this route as i dont perfer it to be off by defualt.
Hope this helps
Got it all worked out thanks to the rom creator above. Team DevDigitel.
Thank You
Thank you for your work on this flashable zip it's much appreciated, I just have a couple of questions though for anyone who might know..
I'm still running the original stock rom (rooted with TWRP) on my LG V20 and a while back I followed the directions from another thread to install V4A, and I was able to get it to work (even through bluetooth) but it's kind of wonky and just hit or miss so I'd really like to try this one out instead.
I'm assuming I should uninstall the version of V4A I have right now but is there anything else that I need to do (besides a nand backup) before flashing this one? Also one of the steps to install the V4A I have right now was deleting a system file (I'll have to go look to be sure but I believe it was something like mixer_paths.xml), so I just thought I'd check to see if that will somehow effect this version or if I possibly need to put the original file back where it was before flashing this one?
I apologize if these are stupid questions but I just thought play it safe and check first before giving this a shot, because even though the version I have is kind of wonky it still works through bluetooth which from what I've read is something that a lot of people haven't been able to get working, and since I use it so much I'm just afraid to even risk losing it. Anyway I'll definitely create a backup before doing anything but any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You don't need to delete any files for this zip. You're supposed to delete /system/etc/audioeffects.conf, but I've done that with the script.
As I use this more, Bluetooth still occasionally doesn't process after pausing for an extended period, like getting out of the car for more than 5 minutes, but all you need to do for it to kick back on is exit V4A from the menu, then open it up again. It'll immediately start processing again.
If you have an unmodified system backup to restore, that will help ensure it works OK, but it may not be needed.

Thank you for the quick response and for the info and I have no clue why I had mixer_paths on the brain but yeah audioeffects.conf is the file I had to delete while installing the version I have, and as far as what you said about the bluetooth acting up it sounds pretty similar to the wonkyness that I was describing with the version I currently have.
One weird thing that I've noticed with mine (and I don't have the slightest idea how or why it's doing it) is when I'm listening to music through my bluetooth headset, none of the settings under the "Bluetooth" section in V4A have any effect on the sound whatsoever.. but what's weird is that all of the settings under the "Headphones" section do (so it's basically like the section names were swapped somehow)?!
I know for sure that I don't have anything plugged into the jack and the headset I'm using is definitely bluetooth (because it's pretty easy to tell lol), so I have no clue why the settings under headphones would work just fine while the ones under bluetooth don't do it anything at all?
Anyway thank you again for the info I'll give it a shot as soon as I have time and let ya know how it went, and unfortunately the only thing I didn't backup was my unmodified system (it didn't even cross my mind until after I was done rooting) but hopefully it'll still be ok. Thanks again!

You can definitely control BT devices from the BT tab on this one. And I've found with more testing that before I get in my car, switch to V4A and exit it, then open it again as soon as Play Music connects. Works every time.
I would just like to say thank you!!
I installed this .zip on my T-mo variant over the previous V4A install via dirty flash. It resolved my Bluetooth processing issues on the stock V20 ROM. I've been working on this the past few days. VERY happy it now works in my car like my last phone did!
Now, once I get the nerve to flash over the new modem and bootloader via TWRP to get up to 20j, I'm highly inclined to check out the new ROM by NATF.
Cheers!

Thank you.
The new modem and other firmware is not a strict requirement for ROMs built on 10j. You just need to make sure TWRP is on the latest release.

I [obviously] didn't create V4A, but if you include my zip in your ROM, please give a mention and link back to this thread.

Excellent! I'm glad it works for you. The changes made should work on multiple devices, I just couldn't test it myself.
Can we flash this if we have dolby? Or should I uninstall dolby 1st?

Thanks!
Just wanted to say thanks for this. It worked great right from the get go. If anybody is wondering its running on JDCTeam AOSP 7.1.2 on a beat up old S4.
