So I saw this lollipop rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716306) and I was waiting for the official one from htc but this had what I wanted. It said I need to have the 4.4.4 firmware but I didnt know how to get it because I couldnt get the ota update on stock for a certain reason and so it flashed the 4.4.4 gpe rom then after that I flashed the 5.0 rom but now I have no wifi and when I reboot its in the bootloop and I dont know what to do now. I would appreciate it if anyone could try and help me. Thank you.
If you just flash a GPe rom it dosent mean you flashed the firmware. I was actually having this same problem so I just flashed the US Dev Sense 4.4.4 firmware and the Lollipop rom worked fine.

Before I flashed that firmware I wiped my phone and there is nothing on it. Also when I try to boot it it tells me to put in a password and I tried my google one but it didnt work also in twrp it says i have 0mb taken up on my phone. I also tried to adb sideload the rom to re flash it but that didnt work it said on my phone it couldnt put the file on my phone so it tried to put it on my ram. Are you sure that was the right firmware I have an att htc one m8. Also do you know what I can do or known some one that can help. Ive been having so many problems with my phone for two days straight and i havent able to use it.

The thing with recovery mod is weird.Sometimes I can, sometimes I cannot. But when I can,it can only be a previous version of 6.0.1.2 flashed with odin and not 6.0.1.2.Right now I m trying and I cant get into recovery.I searched the official jellybean 4.1.1 for my country (greece) but cant find it and dont know what to do.:/
hi!
perhaps you had a bad download of V17.1? you may try checking the md5 sum....
i suggest you do a clean install, flash the superwipe for arhd which is found in the OP, and then flash arhd again

I didnt download the file again because I checked it immediately after I downloaded it.When I managed to boot into recovery mod(the older version)I flashed the rom again and my phone booted normally.I think that the problem-my fault-was that I flashed 15.2 over 17.1.I dont know if the problem caused by the older rom or the older kernel or the tweaks but it belongs to past right now. After that,I updated to the latest version of cwm via ROM Manager from PlayStore.

Anyone know where I can find the AT&T Factory ROM i forgot to do a backup and need to put this ROM back on the device.

Is it weird that there's no RUU? It's been a while since I had an GTC phone so I don't remember how long it took to have one on a new phone.

I feel like it is weird, though the One is the only device I got close to release. My Vivid and Inspire were both purchased a few months after release, and iirc the ATT RUUs were available when I got it, but I guess that doesn't mean they were available at release.

I flashed the odex version and returned it to AT&T. Worked like a charm. Unfortunately no one has posted the stock AT&T recovery but I used the stock international version. You can find that here:
http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html
Actually, this leads to a nagging question I have as a first time rooter. I want to use the stock ATT Rom, but root the phone so I can install apps than requre root access and am all about taking back total contole of my device.
SO If I want to keep the stock rom and just root it, I would need to back up the device?
So if someone could throw me a bone How would I gain root access to the device whilst keeping the stock ROM?
I plan on using Hasoon's Tool kit.

flash the stock rom through recovery and then flash superuser.zip in recovery. boom. rooted on stock
If you are completely stock then Once you unlock your bootloader flash twrp recovery. Then boot to recovery. Then reboot from recovery. Twrp is smart enough to recognize you don't have root and prompt you to install superuser and binaries. After that I found a busybox flashable zip via google, as the busybox installer from the market wouldn't work for me. This leaves you on a stock odexed Rom with root. Note that unlocking your bootloader will wipe data..so backup anything important first

1) unlock bootloader
2) fastboot flash cwm (you can use the shiny new one i just posted in the orig dev section )
3) boot to recovery and make a backup
4) flash the pre-rooted stock rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242319

did the international stock recovery work for you ? i was able to flash it but when i try to go into recovery its just black screen no recovery. Your reply appreciated
Thanks
If you flash stock recovery successfully and you try to boot to said recovery, you won't have any options to do anything. I never cared to look at it on this device but usually all you'll see is a triangle with an exclamation point. That's stock recovery. If you want to flash anything, you can't use stock

I don't think anyone's still following this thread, but did you relock the bootloader before returning it? i was thinking of just flashing recovery back. I don't think anyone at the store would bother to look at that anyway. Whenever I go there, the employees seem to know less than nothing about phones lol.
Hi,
So I initially wanted to use an RUU on my device. After figuring out I have a Vodafone UK device, and trying to find an RUU I have not succeeded. The only RUU I could find was a 1.14.106.x but my phone is at 1.17.106.x so I can't use that as it won't downgrade. If anyone knew where to get a newer version that'd be great.
But then I figured maybe I should just flash a pretty much stock ROM and that would do the trick for me. I decided on Revolution 8.0. I went into recovery flashed it and now I am stuck in a boot loop.
I can get into recovery and fastboot, know basic adb and fastboot but really need some help here! I'm all out of ideas, don't know what to do just want to get my phone back up and running again. I know you guys have a huge knowledge with this stuff so hoping you can help me.
Thanks in advance

Didn't realise had to flash that separately on one x+. I had a rooted hero and desire and don't remember ever having to do that. Just kept the one x+ rooted on stock though. I shall give that a chance after work and hopefully should fix it up. Thanks
Hey guys,
Been using cm11 for a time, but since I need a good camera (cm11s is a little grainy), I need the stock rom.
Ive tries JMZ's, but I get fc on clock and calc. Can someone upload the stock ATT rom. Doesn't matter if its odexed or deodexed.

To get it back to usable you can flash cm11 from here. But to get it back to stock you just have to hope someone wants to share a recent stock at&t backup(of system and boot) and a recovery image from the same.

Well, I managed to get the RUU to work somehow. Not sure what I did but it worked and I'm back on stock. Just finished rooting and flashing TWRP.
So you can use RUU if your phone is rooted and has twrp? Ive never used RUU before.
And when its done, will you still be rooted with a custom recovery?

The only requirement to use RUU is that your bootloader must be locked/relocked. After that you can flash TWRP through fastboot and then flash the SuperSU zip from TWRP.
I'm left clueless here. I just can't get it to boot, no matter what ROM/Kernel i'd flash. It was originally running OOS 2.3.1 but flashing it now won't work anymore. It worked briefly for 1 hour with that AOSP 8.1 but then after trying to flash gapps it stuck again in a bootloop. Sometimes it also freezes and reboots while i am flashing sometimes. I really have no idea what should i do next, hope you can help me.
You need to give more information on which TWRP you have.
Did you upgrade the bootloader at one point ?
OOS 2 is the old one.
You should have upgraded to MM bootloader and the use a TWRP compatible.
If not, you'll have to follow the Mega Unbrick Guide...

I updated the bootloader like over a year ago or so. I also tried 2 different versions of TWRP, now i am using the latest one.
ALSO, very sorry it actually is OOS 3.1.4, not 2.3.1, i just typed briefly what i could remember, i haven't been using this phone for months now but i would like to give it to a relative so there's that. Hope you can help me out, i have no clue why is it acting up like that.

I don't really understand what you are trying to say. I did wipe everything and the only way to flash anything is through adb sideload anyway since the device is not recognized as storage while in TWRP. I think I am gonna give up on it, I was gonna sell it but I can't risk having it act up days/weeks after i sold it.
