I'll try to unlock bootloader and root my nexus 9 this afternoon, Any risk with this app?
This wiped my /system partition when I just tried to root, so I'd avoid it. Thankfully I had the ROM's zip on the device.

When you unlock the bootloader partition is always deleted .... has nothing to do with root. But there are apps so you can unlock the device without data loss .

#1. I didn't use it to unlock the bootloader. I'm already unlocked and was trying to root a stock build.
#2. Unlocking the bootloader wipes data, not system. I couldn't even boot into the ROM after running this, and I had to reflash it. My data partition was untouched, though.

Which apps do this for the Nexus 9? I wanna unlock & root my son's nexus 9 so I can back up some apps & transfer them to his phone

Same question. To my knowledge there no way to keep app settings
does this work for rooting the nexus 9 LTE version?

as well as flashtool tutorial of "noob-proof root via Flashtool".
However I still receive error regarding to either driver failure or unable to hack...I have followed all the steps correctly and made sure the drivers are insalled too... you can see that in the attached images...
Suddenly I feel sony made my phone un-hackable or what??
Please advise me...I am sure I am performing some mistake somewhere...I have been watching different threads on this forum for past 2-3 days and still I don't have a solution to this...Please HELP!!!
the images are not clear .... try to flash ur mobile again with stock rom build 6.1.1.B.75 and then try the method of Root Many Android Devices

Thanks for your suggestion...however I knew that windows 8 will make some nuissance...so rooted my phone using windows 7 on a virtual pc...however I have a entire different question for you where you can definitely help me understand the method of choosing a custom ROM, Kernel and Bootloader...could you please tell me how the cocktail for this different hardware/software works...I have read the entire description on different threads of what their job is and how they work...however I am still confused with how to mix a ROM, Kernel and a Bootloader..??

cyanogen mod roms and the roms based on cm requires unlocked bootloader ; unlocking bootloader will void ur warranty and u will loose drm keys forever

Hello guys. I have a RN3P with unlocked bootloader and when I install the TWRP, TWRP asked the password. I hit "cancel" but not I was unable to access the internal data also could not get root 'cause had no data in memory. the TWRP unable to access the memory. I tried several passwords "defalut_password" but without success.
When restarted the unit entered BRICK. I had to give flash another ROM by MiFlash for RN3P work again.
You could give me a good tutorial?

Try entering your phone password. If your phone password was a pattern, enter the password in terms of numbers-

i had the same problem.
Solved with Flashing Stable Miui8 Version to Lollipop in MiFlasher alias edl mode.
Then Unlocked the Bootloader and installed twrp.
At this point iam free from the Password quest.
Now i m able to run the Epic Rom.

I'm using MIUI 8 Beta - 6.9.22 + ROOT
please help me I have been trying solutions for 2 months but nothing works. I also tried to do
1 go to wipe
2 go to advanced wipe
3 select date
4 repair or change flie system
5 change flile system ext 2
6 then replace ext 4
but it does not work. when i try to boot in to the system it goes into an infinite loading screen. please HELP (I used google translator because my english sucks)

Either boot-loader broken or Android system corrupted. Re-flash Stock ROM.

Because you avoided to name phone's brand/model in this thread's title you can't really get advised.
Anyway:
Assumed these requirements
got fulfilled, the USB-driver suitable to your phone is installed on PC,
then the basic steps to perform are
1) Unlock phone's boot-loader, if not done yet
2) flash the ROM

My POV:
This is the price that people who think they must improve (?) phone's Android, will say put up a better (?) ROM / Recovery than that what gets pre-installed by OEM/Carrier ( in their R&D department there are certainly no idiots sitting around ), pay.

Hi all.
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my 8 Flip but am having a couple of issues. First one is that there's no "OEM Unlock" option in my Dev settings. I've tried running the official unlock tool anyay, and it errors out saying "Failed to unlock your device, please try again later.[11006]"
Any ideas?

To root the phone
where did you buy the phone? Some vendors sell phones that cannot be rooted.
You can see it with the app CPU-Z in System section if you see bootloader : no, you can't root
I was just about to unlock the bootloader to try to dump the recovery.img and use that to create a twrp image.
But there is a big warning saying:

Does this mean I would not get security updates and later the Android 13? I only want to get twrp to be able to root the device. but losing the OS updates would be a big no-no.
Are those who have unlocked it getting updates? Can anyone confirm this?

I'm not able to log into the tab as it shows cannot create work profile after knox enrollment updation.
I tried flashing stock roms. And patched boot.img(magisk).
If any one could help. Will mean a lot

How can i unlock the bootloader completely then i read most of the guides related to bootloader unlock and did the same
The OEM Unlock toggle will be missing in Settings > Developer options.
What do you do before this happened.?
I can't log in to the phone. Through frp bypass I'm not able to enable developer settings.
This i what i actually did.
I unlocked bootloader and flashed stock rom and after restart this happened

How? I can't even open the phone
I waited for 8 days and some how i was able to log into the tab but the IMEI number is empty.
