[Q] how to install SDK components manually not using SDK Manager?

may I know how to install SDK components (SDK components and Google APIs ) manually not using SDK Manager?
I have installed r12 and r14 SDK Manager but still missing those components that I need to install them through SDK Manager
the problem is that I'm having wimax wireless broadband at my home, and it has monthly volume quota with 3 person is using. I'm not browsing any youtube videos at home as well, because it will use up too many bandwidth.
I'm thinking that if I can download them manually in my office not using SDK manager (no permission to install SDK manager in office) and bring them home
I found this link
https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml
but there are no individual components only
the full r14 zip files only (the one that i already have)

[Q] Android - Device/Machine Certificate Enrollment and Authentication

Hi all,
I'm handling the support for my clients and they have Android device in their enviroment. They would like to enhance their Android device security by introducing Certificate Authentication with SCEP (NDES) on Server 2008 R2. Their requirement is to use Android device (NOT User) certificate to perform 1st level authentication for Android devices, just like the Computer Certificate in computer systems running Windows OS.
I did a search on google but could not find any good results. I would like to know if it is possible to perform Android device/machine (NOT user) certificate with Microsoft CA at all?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Tcping for Android?

I'm a network admin and I use the linux utility called tcping to check if my APs are up from behind the firewall. Does anyone know if this utility can be ported to Android without having to install debian/ubuntu on my device?

GNURoot Debian

An XO Tablet here with Android 4.4.2. I've installed GNURoot Debian 0.5.0_armhf.
I want to run a software which works routinely in desktop systems. Where should
this be located? If an account with directory /home/user/ is created and the
executeable is put there, the permission is rw_ and can not be changed to rwx.
Thanks, ... Peter E.
Does somebody succeed to ssh into GNU Debian for Android ?
I installed this app as well on my Huawei Mate 9 (not rooted) with Android 7 Nougat.
It installed flawlessly and the APT manager works good as well.
But the problem is to get SSH access from outside. I installed sshd and it worked and it opened on port 2022 but ssh'ing into that port results in
Code:
ssh: connect to host <ip> port 2022: Connection refused
I searched on the internet and tried this but to no avail.

Question about ADB Platform Tools & Visual Studio Requirements

So I've been trying to get ADB up and running properly so I can modify some aspects of the Android OS to fix the phone's Wi-fi Hotspot feature. Android OS is version Oreo 8.1, and Windows is Win 7 x64. Already had Dev Mode enabled on the phone with USB Debugging.
When I downloaded the Android platform tools and tried to execute the ADB via command line, I get an error message [I had a link to an image showing it, but due to me being a new account it won't let me post it, but basically it's an error message that appears when you try to launch an app on Windows without having the VS 2015 or newer redistributable files installed which have the Win10 compatibility files necessary for it to run] which means I don't have either the 2015 or later version of the VS Redistributable installed. Unfortunately due to this Windows installation's MS Package Updater being borked, I can't really install those either to fix this (thanks MS) without doing a bunch of **** I don't want to risk at the moment.
So the question is, does anybody know of an older version of the SDK Platform Tools that only require VS 2013, and if it would be compatible with Android 8.1? Thanks.
Gonna give this a quick bump but I'm basically just asking if anybody knows where one could get an older build of the SDK Platform Tools (command line tools only, not the full package) that only requires VS 2013 to be installed to run.
