I am not responsible for bricked devices,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
A lot.[/CENTER]
Please note the following:
Sound and video play back work flawlessly.
Kernel does not force encryption and will format all data if you flash on top of a forced encryption kernel. This means you must backup all internal and SD storage onto a PC. It will wipe data, downloads, pictures, everything!
Report Bugs Here!

Frequently Asked Questions:
**How do I upgrade to 5.1**
- If you are coming from any 5.0.x ROM, or 5.1 other than Euphoria, it is suggested that you flash the latest radio and bootloader.
- If you are coming from Euphoria 5.1 you can dirty flash, if coming from ANYTHING else you must clean flash.
1. Download euphoria 5.1, a 5.1 set of gapps, and any radio or bootloader
2. Reboot into recovery
3. Wipe data
4. Flash radio and bootloader
6. Flash ROM and gapps
5. Reboot
** I have terrible battery **
Check your device for wake locks, if it's Google services then:
1. Disable keep awake and wake up in privacy gaurd.
2. In disable service app, disable the usual configfetchservice and configservice. Leave system update service enabled
** I have no voice on calls **
Please update to the latest appropriate radio
** I can't use Google Now Launcher **
Seems there's a bug with compatibility with banks gapps, use another for now
** I can't install any cm12 themes **
You probably flashed a kernel that breaks theme compatibility. Please use the included or a supported kernel, or ask your kernel dev to update his ramdisk
** I have problem XXX **
Can you replicate it after a clean flash? Honestly, most bugs that you are experiencing come from dirty flashing, or user configuration.

Have you done a full wipe? No issues here at all. What did you all flash? More details please.
Awesome. One question. So far, the most confusing aspect of this device is def the whole encryption thing. So I'm on stock now, rooted, running twrp, encrypted (cuz I never unencrypted). So if I flash this ROM, will it wipe my data? And if so, would I then be unencrypted?
Thanks
You don't buy a Mustang for the gas mileage.
Yay! I will flash this one
When you say do a data wipe or be stuck at boot, does that mean "fastboot erase userdata" type of wipe?

Yes, if you flash on top of a force-encrypted kernel it will format all data, internal and external. Then you will still be encrypted. First you need to flash the unencrypted kernel, format all user data, and then you can flash this and be unencrypted.

You only have to do that if you are flashing the unencrypted kernel.
Data wipe in TWRP is needed if coming from a different ROM or STOCK.
A tip to decrypting if you don't really understand is to BACKUP your SD card to the computer. It will erase everything on your device. Pictures, downloads etc.

OK, let's say b4 I even flash the ROM, I follow steps in the thread around here to unencrypt, as long as I flash Roms and kernels that DO NOT force encrypt, then I won't have to worry about getting data wiped again in the future, and I'll always be unencrypted?
Thanks for your help man.

Stock CM Kernel with TWRP-2.8.7.0 in Odin flashable format
I am attaching here the stock cm kernel with twrp-2.8.7.0 in odin flashable format along with the 1Gb-system/4Gb-Data pit file and Odin-3.09. Use this to recover from soft bricks and also the kernel can be used with other lollipop based ROMS. Flash the kernel with odin after installing the ROM of your choice. If you have used this kernel to repair a soft brick, you will have to again reflash the kernel after installing the ROM if you want to continue using this kernel. Happy flashing.

Its only for one time during first run...you can uninstall the chinese stuff if u want to....btw plz check the new twrp recovery and plz report back if it functions properly and the ROM too.
Some first impressions
1. The ROM seems to have all the options that I like.
2. The initial setup automatically selected my language (Hebrew) so I didn't have to scroll through the list of languages at all - that was very nice; most ROMs start with English selected and I have to scroll half the list to get to Hebrew.
3. When switching screens during the setup, there's garbage at the bottom bar. I initially thought that was a CM problem, but since it exists also here and in PA, it's probably AOSP problem. It's not a real issue, just strange.
4. Networks speeds: After disabling it, it stops updating but the last status remains displayed in the status bar; I probably have to reboot to stop seeing it there.

How about my 2nd question - what would it require for your builds to become official?
Can you please upload some screenshots?
I meant with the twrp recovery...u can use cm12.1 with twrp
I can't say about official as the maintainers of i9100 repo are not updating the sources...I chose to work on mokee coz its unique soon to be implemented multi window feature.

I tested it...backup and restore works just fine...I purposefully disabled efs partition backup in twrp....it contains imei...radio info...ril info and many sensitive stuff..if during backup or restore process it gets messed...it will render your phone unusable.
just backup system, data & boot....I tested it. and after backing up...power off once before restore...the partitions get freshly mounted. And do not use backups of old twrp with the latest one...and backup with default selections.

So far, AMAZING rom, and this will probably be my daily driver henceforth. Only problem I'm having is that something is tripping up Snapchat and I'm not able to login... I even went into TWRP and flashed Magisk 15.1 to see if I could use the Magisk Hide option, but I'm unable to log in even after making sure Magisk was hidden from Snapchat. Something else must be tripping it up.

Awesome, much appreciated
I still cant seem to get this to boot.
I did a full wipe (cache, dalvik/art, system, data), factory reset, format data.
Flash ROM and 8.1 GApps Aroma from TWRP Unofficial link. Reboot. Right back to recovery.
Attempted multiple times. but could be doing something wrong with the order of the process. Will continue to try.
Make sure you backup internal and have a full nandroid of everything including modem because once you try to restore back to OOS it will say encryption unsuccessful and you have to format data and flash a full OOS zip before you can boot because a factory reset won't work (even though that's what it says you must do). And restoring just boot system and data will leave you without data connection.
Thanks for the hard work dev!
Awesome Rom
This rom is a beast, so much customization. So far the only issue i have come across was the camera, the pictures were coming out at a 90 degreee angle. i had to install google camera and that solved it.
Im not sure about the battery usage as i have only just flashed it but lets see.
Massive thank you to the Devs, good work.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine

Lol you don't blame the ROM if it doesn't boot on MultiROM, I actually thought it wasnt working on as primary, and a lot would stay away because you said it's not booting with specifiying that it's on MultiROM

If you have a major bug to report that has not been reported already, please take the following steps to report it to us. It will save you, Team Resurrection Remix and me quite some time.
Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.

RROS-Q-8.6.2
Yay, finally a thread for this rom has been open.
Anyone experiencing a problem with LiveDisplay? I've set mine to automatically adjust colour temperature (turn the screen amber) and the rom doesn't do that. So far, I have to manually play about with the colour temperature and press ok. Previous rom versions did not have this problem, at least with my phone.
Will Night light be implemented for future rom versions or will LiveDisplay be the only option?

Thank you for reporting. I was able to confirm the problem you pointed out.
It seems that only one of the live display and the night light can be used. To tell the truth, I like night lights that can be scheduled. Right now I'm testing the night light. If there is no problem, I may change to night light.

I'm worried about the angler's encryption and decryption, so the rom I build isn't encrypted.
I'm sorry, but if you need encryption, please use another rom.

Added a nostalgic function. The presets are almost the same, but I don't think it's bad(I only use balance ...).
Of course, it also supports Qs tiles, so you can easily switch profiles. Thanks to frap129 for his great work, which is also the kernel name I use.
RR 8.6.3
Like to report that Night light works. LiveDisplay has now only 3 options to chose from, automatic, off and outdoor.
Another piece of good news (at least for myself) is that the phone can be detected via adb tools. Previous version of RR for the Nexus 6P for some reason always shown "unauthorised" after typing "adb devices" into command prompt. For RR 8.6.3, within developer options, "revoke USB debugging authorisations" is available and my Nexus 6P is authorised with my PC.
I'm getting the error "Failed to mount '/vendor' (No such device)" at the end of flashing. Restoring the phone to stock (or flashing boot and vendor partitions to stock) allows me to mount /vendor again, but the instant I try to flash the latest download of RROS the /vendor partition doesn't mount anymore. I tried 8.6.2 and 8.6.3, I have a 128gb Nexus 6p, and I was able to install Havoc OS without this issue.
Clean install without magisk, even tho in most roms people usually recommend to reboot recovery and flash magisk after rom, this particular procedure cause bootloops most of the time. For those who want to install magisk after new rom, always boot the rom, use it for a few minutes (config, etc), reboot and wipe dalvik and cache (or not is not a must, i do it sometimes) and then flash magisk. Never got an error or bootloop doing it this way.
About this rom, everything is working great so far the only thing i noticed is sometimes it does a weird animation switching from an app to homescreen
Edit:
-the weird animation (may be just the system's default from switching activities? but it looks weird)
-screen casting cause reboot and increasing cpu temperature about 10°c~ (shutdown, let it cool and power up again solved it)

Same issue here.
"Failed to mount '/vendor' (No such device)" after flashing, with all instructions followed.

Failed to mount /system /vendor (invalid argument) message is just a "bug" in TWRP. You can safely ignore it. It is normal to get those error messages on Android 10 when flashing rom and GApps. Everything should have flashed correctly (assuming your flashing procedures were correct) despite those 2 error messages. At least this is true with TWRP 3.3.1-0.
Additionally, I'm not sure how compatible TWRP 3.4.0-0 is with Android 10 on this device at the moment. Before 3.4.0-0 there was a special TWRP based on 3.3.1-0 that was needed ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/1axm3GVbTKypUdQAuYubNknJX4wKRFIec/view ). I would try that.

Followed this and flashed that "+" version of TWRP 3.3.1.0 and now it works without telling me vendor can't be mounted.
HTH
Back at it with a question:
so there appears to be an insane battery drain going on. Coming from Android 9 and on idle the battery is gone in 3 hours. That's pretty crazy.
Anyone else experiencing this?
UPDATE: I re-wiped everything, including data, internal storage, format -- everything -- reflashed twrp and RR ROM, and now it appears to function as intended. Battery, now, is what it is for this old device.
Thanks to the devs.
Sorry for the short off topic  BUT I'm really happy with this ROM! Haven't flashed RR since Oreo and feel that it's a great success with what was accomplished - it's just awesome to browse all the options!
RR has always been the most sympathetic project out there for me, let's hope we got some time left on this ride with our beloved Angler!
:highfive:

I've been googling how to do what you said and where to find the correct one to flash but I'm finding so much mixed info and I haven't done this to many times. I have metro pcs by t mobile and I'm not sure we're to go from here. Do I need to flash stock modem or RR?

I did not succeed in making "google voice" work .works in manual only.
The brightness for AOD remains for 10 seconds after the screen lights up to a higher value.
Problem common to almost all AOSP:
if you uncheck "automatically select the network" you get "networks not found please try again".

Hey, just installed it
So far I'm pleased with the ROM, however there is one very annoying and big issue, when doing any sort of file saving/transfer the system lags a lot, with haptic feedback taking several seconds to occur and the system launcher constantly hanging up which renders the phone unusable while it happens.
Fixed
