could someone provide, or point me to the right direction, to get the stock ROM for alcatel one touch flash 6042D ?
I have the TCL p728m, which is the same model, only for the Chinese market, and I'd like to have a english ROM on it... Preferably with gapps

Hello, it's my first post. I've bought the TCL s720 in aliexpress and I've seen that also it's the same that alcatel one touch flash, as serbent has said.
I don't have the mobile yet, but I'll have it in two weeks I hope. The TCL has android 4.2.2, and the alcatel has the 4.4 version, it's possible to put the rom of alcatel on the TCL?

I think that is the best mobile in quality / price ratio.
But I bought this mobile for the battery, 3330mah! Also the Cubot S200 has 3300mah, but I already have had an mt6582, and I want to try the octa-core
Other thing that I want to say it's if I can low the base frequencie of the processor, because I think that 728MHz are too much. I would like to low it to 500MHz or less if it's possible.

I have speaked with Alcatel and they have said to me that they are going to do all possible, but you also should call them and they will do before!

did you ever compare S720 vs P728m?
the only thing they have in common is SOC.
In other words, this rom is no good for s720.

Maybe you have to change some driver files.

It would be great for this to happen, but as an older phone and one that is extremely hard (and risky) to root, from a dev's POV it wouldn't seem worth all the effort :/

In India it is sold with local carrier IDEA. They have even changed its name from Alcatel 918 N to !dea 3g Smartphone

Hi! I finded one, I dont know if it is really a cyanogen mod but it is a true 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Sometimes it lags but i think for Alcatel OT-918 it is good enought. I will post links when i will have 10 posts because i can not post links if i dont have 10 posts

Hmm I looked for a true JB rom for this phone, and all I got was a 2.3.6 custom rom that got the looks of JB. Was the rom you're talking about the ICS v5 by Mark? Unless you can point me to the real JB 4.1.1 rom, this is what I've worked with. It actually works nice, but it's still in GB.

Not quite so, because BQ Aquris 5 has a ROM of 16 GB, and those two only have 4 GB.

But i have flashed bq rom in iball phone n its working fine only problem i got is camera flash isnt working rest phone got booted with its boot.img kernel.
I did not meant that it wouldn't work, what I meant is that it si not exactly the same model.
I'm curious, which one did you bought? Because the chinese one does not have a price tag and the indian one uses a currency that not only is unknown to me, but also seems to be unknown to google.

But it's different about Indian an Chinese phone, because the ROM is made by spanish engineers and it's better for performance and phone speed. I'm sure about, my previous phone was fully Chinese, and worked very badly. Just install an app it was restarted, and I couldn't do anything. When I dared to make changes, like root, customizations...the phone goes in a brick forever. As this happened every day, and had to repair it and gave me no solution in the shop, one day I got angry and threw it to the ground and then into the trash. I was tired of paying weekly 20 €, a phone that cost 80€, because everything was broken and stopped working, both hardware and software. The name of the "phone" I-joy I-call 300. I'll never trust that company.

Ohh, there is a stock ROM for this tablet, it can be found here download(.)ployer(.)cn (Sorry, can't post URLs as junior member (You have to click on "Momo12" and read through some chinese stuff to get it.
I know SlimMod ROM and already wrote in that forum, this version is based on an old release and the dev stopped development...

Just to let you know: There is a great CM ROM out there for the Momo12: Crew RKTablets Genio CM10.1 v1.3.5.
I've installed it yesterday and now I have a fantastic running 4.2.2 Custom ROM with CWM Recovery!!! :good::good::good:
You can use this also on Captiva Pad 10.1, it's a clone of the Momo12.

I checked websites and they said i'll need the stock rom and especially, the preloader and dl files !! I'm not finding it! Can someone or an admin help me plss ???Help !!!!! The files you need are very specific to not only the phone name, but the version of the MediaTek CPU it uses as well. Many knock-offs like Alps often make many variants of the same phone or change the brand name slightly but most everything else is the same. I found this : http://www.needrom.com/mobile/one-m7-mt6589/ but you're on your own to verify if that is the exact version you need.

Sorry. There are so many of these knock off phones and they are not very well documented, so hard to find the right stuff. I'd just suggest browsing around here: http://www.needrom.com/ and see if you find something that fits.

Sucks! You lost it, like the phone is lost / stolen? If that is so and you didn't have anything set up like the Android Device Manager, then you're probably really out of luck. Good news is that since your phone is messed up, not likely anyone else is going to enjoy it... Two months ago I purchased a tablet from Wal-Mart the name on the box was TG-TEK model of tablet "according to the box" is TGH1051-blk the same day i decided to root it, not really knowing what I was doing long story short i ended up on a boot loop that being said yes i am a newbee! The two months ive had the tablet I've been trying to fix it. I have learned alot in the two months so im not totally ignorant when it comes to some processes any more. I have flashed more roms/firmwares than i can count using various flashing methods. What I understood is that you want a stable ROM, no? I don't have this device but, if you're a newbie, please use the stock ROM which is most stable. There are a lot of new brands which doesn't have developers' support. Just make sure to always flash the right ROM for your device and you won't get any broken features. Shortly, wipe data and flash stock ROM.
P.S. From my experience: never try to flash a ROM that is made for another device.

Hi, I bricked my A33 Quad Core tablet. I was able to root the tablet by kingo Root app, and then on one Russian site I found twrp for A33 and I tried to flash it with the flashify and my tablet got bricked. Since then I was not able to back on the firmware which came in with the tablet.
I used phoenix suit to flash a rom. I am using a rom which is about as good as original was the only problem is that it does not rotate, Just in one form.
I am looking for the right firmware, if anyone can help or if I can fix this issue by installing some application.
I have attached the picture of my original recovery and the picture of my board.
I accidently found out, if you hold your volume up button and then also press the power button for 10 sec and then leave vol+up and power button simultaneously, your tablet will boot in recovery mode. Works for me.
