Has anyone managed to get Bluetooth working on our unofficial cm 12 rom? I see that most of the other g3 models have it working in at least some capacity.
I've been wondering this myself, as its preventing me from moving onto CM. As long as audio out to my car stereo, Jambox, and LG headphones works, I'm in.
I'm sure the fix well be published as soon as it is found.

I don't have enough posts to query the development forums, but can anyone confirm whether or not they've gotten bluetooth smart/4.0 BLE working with any of the available 4.3 based roms?
I've been holding out on buying a Bluetooth HRM for a long time, now (actually bought this phone BECAUSE it advertised bluetooth 4.0 as a feature....), and may be willing to lose touchwiz to use one, early.
Yes, I'm aware legacy bluetooth HRM's are available, but I know myself well enough to know I won't remember to charge it every day or two.
Thank you very much, in advance.

I really want to know the answer to this also.
I got an email from Runtastic July 31 claiming the following:
"

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, S4, Note 2.
+ Compatible with iPhone 4S & 5
+ Low battery consumption

activities (e.g. treadmill, ...)
+ Heart rate data transmission
+ Bluetooth Smart technology
+ Washable soft chest strap
[Buy Now]
"
I said, "Wait.... What!?" It seems like I've been waiting for this for years at this point. I wanted an H7, not an old zephyr hxm, but it hasn't been compatible. Now suddenly they claim the runtastic model works on the Note 2? There's no official 4.3, is there?? I searched these forums, best I could find was CM 10.2 derived ROMS, but they all say it includes CM's bug list--but I couldn't find that anywhere either. All I can figure is this was a misprint.
I'm with you, I care about this also, but I don't think enough people do.

I finally sucked it up and bought the legacy zephyr HRM.
It cost $15 more than the BT-LE version, and the battery life is crap, but I'm happy and endomondo seems a LOT more accurate, now.
This phone is dumb. Google needs to get their crap together, or put a leash on their representative manufacturers advertising unusable phone features.

It works great on any of the TW based ROMs, but as far as the 4.3 based ones, it is getting closer. Tried a few of the nightlies since a couple of weeks ago and my Fitbit finally shows up in CM10.2, but still won't pair. This is one of the few things keeping me from running CM10.2 full-time.
I keep flashing a nightly every few days just to check progress, but end up going back to my nandroid TW backup.
Does this work with CM 10.2 and/or CM11 nowadays? I'm thinking of buying a Fitbit and was wondering if it will sync with the phone.

I can confirm that the Zephyr HxM Smart does in fact work on 4.3 TW ROMs. Specifically RunDouble and Runtastic on Sophisticated ROM 2.5.
Hi Guys,
I've recently purchased a Moto E XT1021 and am dismayed that it has the same audio hissing issue that some of the LG phones have suffered from. The exact problem is demonstrated on a YouTube video entitled "LG G2 KitKat Audio Issues (hissing noise)".
It appears that LG have acknowledged the problem but I wondered if anyone was aware of an existing or future fix that will work on the Moto E? I've tried the latest stock, CM11 and SlimKat ROMs but the hissing is present on all of them. This is very annoying when listening to soft music like piano pieces.
I don't want to purchase any more headphones because I already own several branded pairs that sound great on my other devices.
I've tried the suggested solutions of turning off DSP effects, using aeroplane mode, using PowerAmp etc. but these don't impact on the hissing.
Cheers.

Interesting, I did not notice this. Also after extended listening with a good headset. Maybe it differs between batches? Ive also got an XT1021.

Thanks for confirming that.
Are you using in-ear headphones? All mine are 16 or 32 ohm and are the ear-canal type. My phone was purchased in the UK.
Also got an UK phone and used a Sure in-ear headphone....
Will double check tomorrow!

Nice one.
I've just located my old Sony MDR-V6 'over-ear' headphones and they have no hiss when connected to my Moto E. However, this doesn't surprise me because I've seen the interesting thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599, regarding the poor Opamp on the Moto G.
I'm still curious whether this can be 'fixed' with a software patch or if it's purely down to poor audio hardware. It seems pretty lame that a device from 2013/2014 can sound as bad as the old cassette tapes from my childhood.
Wow, there really is quite some hissing when using my Sure headphone
Don't know why I did not notice this before....
My other headphones sound great!
For Pollux Windy SGP311, It has been reported in a variety of threads that the CM11 nightly builds have broken GPs since end of May. I have been a fan of Cynaogen mod, I have moved to Omnirom which has a working GPS.
Ye i used to be fan too, used to be. Not anymore.
CM support also suck bad, i have no regrets changing to Omni :good:.
I have to say, my experience of custom ROM support for this device (311) has put me off using them in future.
Depending on which custom ROM you choose, there are problems with GPS or sound stutter or HDMI or all & more
I've gone back to rooted stock Sony - it's so nice that everything just works
Condidering that they broke handsfree bluetooth connection with most big car manufacturers in 2013 on a mainstream device like the nexus 4 and never fixed it i think it is save to say that they aren't keen on bugfixing once newer devices are out. I have moved on to other roms long since.
Why/background if you are interested:
I have been using the LG G3 for about a year and my wife dropped hers in the water so I'm getting the note up and running, it got me thinking about updating from CM10.1.3 to 11 or 12. I didn't see anything great from 11 to 12.1 on my G3, couple lock screen options etc simple stuff, however I have to cycle the data toggle every so often to get data working, the loss of bluetooth was a deal breaker and required 12.1, but I digress.
The heart of the question:
on CM's website I see there is a snapshot (not going for nightly, but, also it's not stable) for both 11 and 12. In your opinion what do you think about cm11 or cm 12.1 on the note 2. The snapshot worked pretty well on the G3. Are they stable enough for you? worth it? Many benefits? Blown out of the water? Side notes - I won't use full screen casting (I have an android box), I will use pandora/etc music apps with the chromecast option to our stereo some mornings, I don't care how my lock screen looks or functions (I turned them off on my G3).
Thoughts about security and oudated apps:
[/U] Issues I foresee if I stay on cm10 - security - stagefright exploit, if apps are changed and I don't update my apps and errors occur or some stuff might get outdated and just stop working and require an update to use it, on that note I see my navionics app stopped working and won't load/initialize. My LG G3 kept loosing bluetooth in Pandora and Soundcloud after they were updated, I fixed it by moving to cm12.1. I turned off auto update to avoid this on the note 2 with apps
What baseband is needed?
I never did an OTA update when I got it. I rooted the note 2 the day I got it, but I can't remember what build it was on, I'm on baseband VRAMC3. Lastly I had to update the oem software on the LG to get a newer baseband for cm12.1. TWRP wouldn't even flash cm12 until I updated. Do I need to do anything similar for the note 2, or can I flash from 10 to 12? [/B

I honestly got out of using the AOSP ROMs for my Note since I noticed some issues with camera quality not being as good as the stock. it wasn't horrible. but I would see some glitches with video and I could just see the image caliber was not as good as a touchwiz ROM.
Hello,
i finally got rid of the gruelsome LG Stock firmware.
Beeing a Beta Version there sure are some kinks, which was clear to me.
But there are some things which are not clear to me (beeing the first device which i rooted)
- First, rather european sob story, the LG HiFi Plus works but it is draining the battery like crazy. The module is getting warm and after listening to an album of about 60 minutes it went through 40% of the battery.
- I knew beforehand that the Camery isn't working in wide angle mode when recording videos. maybe I did something wrong ore forgot to flash something. But with the app I cant switch betwenn cameras.
- Today I tried to connect my gamepad with the LG G5, turned bluetooth on on both devices, the didn't detect eachother. Someone an idea?
Well that's all folks thanks so far.
