Here's the deal...
Use SVoice on my Note4 and say "text this person" "my message" and then "send" all is good.
Use SVoice on my GearS and do the same using the same name and Gear S says that person is not in my contact list.
Check my contact list on the GearS and low and behold, they are there.
Any ideas? I've done a full reset on my GearS & it was working fine when I had my Note2 connected.

I am having this same problem connected to my S5, only for me not all contacts are showing in my Gear.
I attempted to contact Samsung customer support for this issue. They told me that only the phone contacts will show on the gear and synced contacts will not. I tried to explain that all of my contacts are synced via my gmail and not a single one has been entered on my device, but she insisted that only phone contacts will display.

I was able to find a work around. I edited the contacts that were not showing up (I starred the contact) and it then synced with my Gear S. I then unstarred the contact and the star went away on my phone and Gear but the contact remained.
To make it easier I starred the contact in my gmail and hit the sync on my phone, instead of doing it all on my phone.
Can I please ask, if someone calls your note 4 or whatever phone you have connected to your gear s does the call still come though to your watch
I use gear 1 with tab 10.5 s 4G and use this as my phone so u can understand why I use gear 1 to take calls, with gear s I would still like people to call my tab and answer on watch, is this still going to be possible

Yes if some one calls my phone the call can be answered on my Gear. If connected via bluetooth they will ring at the same time. If running in standalone I have call forwarding setup so the call will be forwarded to my Gear. One complaint I have at the moment and have not looked into a work around for is if connected via bluetooth and I ignore a call (either on the Gear or phone) the call will then still be forwarded to my Gear.
Do you have the Tab S 10.5, the Gear S does not connect to mine!!! So I have 2 standalone devices, I only bought into this whole smart watch nonsense because I use a tablet as my phone, so now I have ended up with 2 separate numbers????
hi guys, im having a little bit of a problem and hopefully you guys can help.
all of the sudden, my sms is not being forwarded to the gear s whilst connected via bluetooth.
it was working fine yesterday and for some reason, for the entire day today, i recevied sms on my phone but its not displaying/forwarded onto the gear s.
i checked the notification setting and the messaging app is checked and is the default app.
also tried resetting the gear s and repaired it with the phone and still no dice. im using the note edge btw so i know its not the phone
any input will be great, thank you

Hi to everyone.
I recently got my Gear S and after trying everything including reseting and uninstaling gear manager on my Note 4, I cant get notifications to vibrate or make a sound for viber. Everything is ok with sms and calls, I get both vibrate and sound but nothing for Viber even thought it pushes the notification and appears on the watch it is always silent. I have tried different settings on viber aswell and spent the whole day yesterday reading this forum.
Any ideas?

people who cannot get notifications on Gear S, have SIM in the watch and unlimited texting, can try PhoneLeash. The app will send a text from the phone to the watch whenever a text or missing call is received on the phone. Not a perfect, but working solution.
An option: PhoneLeash -> Google Voice -> Gear S

I am using Samsung Gear S2. It was working perfectly fine for about 9 months since I bought it in Jan'17. But from last month it is not showing the notifications on the watch other than incoming calls. I am being notified only on incoming calls. No texts messages/Whatsapp/Messenger notifications I am getting on my watch.
I have tried many tips and tricks available on internet. But none was helpful to me.
This is highly frustrating now. Please can anyone advise/help on this case? I am using Redmi Note 4
