Did you ever figure this out? I can send you a zip for the Chinese language if your still stuck.

unfortunately i haven't yet...
It'll be appreciated if you could send me the zip, will it be compatible with any rom? it can completely switch the system language to traditional chinese correct?

Interesting since the CIMEXT9.apk is supposed to be the Chinese language...so I wonder why it doesn't show. The language pack had every language in it that came with the phone stock.

No, I like mine in English, just install the fix for getting Swedish hardware and software keyboard and it is perfect. But my TP is dead and at service now

Oh alright But where do I find the "fix"? Isnt it the value you change in the Registry? Because I've done that. . But the Virtual Keyboard doesn't work with the charcaters "å, ä, ö" which is very frustrating

i believe what he wanted is to have it in an update.zip or apk such that he can insert it into other distro. I'm keen at it too. Don't know how to extract it from the 2.1 official release.

Search "Google pinyin IME" in the market and download it .

search "sogou input"

Agree, I had tried many input keyboard but non of them offers the ease and accuracy of the Touch HTC CIME input. The switch keyboard key is very handy during typing mixed eng/chi sentence.
It's in 42turkey's ROM
I should be able to extract it for you. Is it just an apk? Or is there other files?

Not sure, could be.. But it should work on all the ROM's based on the OTA for the Hero

Won't work(install failed on dev or using adb push) for me if I push it onto a chronos 1.5.1 ROM. I guess a few reasons like the kernel built and the varying required libraries.
I'll try this later on a 2.1 ROM that had the CIME removed.

I saw your post...
I was going to ask you witch was your problem...
I never had bootloop issues...just sometimes the device would do that but pulling out and in the battery and starting the phone again would have solved the problem...
If you know anyway I could create a ROM from my device...even if I think it's impossible because of Android Lollipop...

I´s possible ! I´m doing it right now but will take like 4 to 5 days.
If I am able to build the rom it will work on your device.
