I have created my first android application for a school project and was told to sign the app for the instructor to grade the project. I was wondering if it is a good idea to place ads in your first application or wait for another application. Also I was wondering do I need to create a layout just for the ad placement? Thanks. The apk has not been signed yet.

Ok, is it just my dislike for HTC and their hidden agenda or has there always been a disclaimer from them claiming in order to access your Facebook account they need access?

It's for the facebook for sense app. I use that to upload pics and video. It's more stable than the fb app itself.

i think its more of like giving permission for it to access your face book info since its a third party app and not face book itself you have to give permission for it to access that info even though you have signed in.Kind of like a facebook quiz that needs certain permissions.
Hey
I need the latest version of the Proboards app.
I have flashed my Galaxy S with Onecosmics rom and the app wont install in the Market.
Can someone send me the APK file to install?
Thanks so much
It's a paid app. It would be illegal to distribute the apk. You can contact the developer of the app by email, mention that you've already bought the app, provide the order number given in the email receipt from Android Market, and request for an apk.

Thanks for your reply. So if i hadnt paid for the app in the first place, can it be installed without buying?
No, and it is illegal to do so. Even if you install the apk of a paid app, almost all apps implement the Market license check permission, by which they verify the license of the app with Android Market. So it'll fail if you didn't buy the app. Most of the apps don't cost that much for the services they offer, so you should buy them if you want them. The developers have to earn money after all.

What does it say exactly in the Android Market website when you try to install it? If it says 'not available in your country', then I can help you. If it says 'not compatible with your phone', then email the developer of the app about it. They should be able to help you.
Hey everyone, new google plus app available. It includes the long awaited ability to start a hangout from within the app. Get it here:

I develop themes. Right now I only have GO SMS PRO Themes on the market. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a quality way of monetizing. With this type of application some things aren't a good idea, such as banners or in app purchases. And I know I can't go with admob because they require a checking account in your name and mine is in my husband's name. Any thoughts?

Some people like me have a phone and a tablet, hangouts sync fine and is smart when using my tablet the message don't beep on phone, logs gets mirrored smartly, but as fur the rest of the apps we are not able to login from the tablet without it logging us out from the phone.
Apps such as wechat snapchat and whatsapp.
This needs attention or else my next intention is zzzzz to the techno world if no one else thinks this isn't an issue.

Waking up this post reason is obvious once you read the gravity of this missing generation post to the world.

Mod this thread might be at the wrong place because it's not question of trouble shooting but it's for the developers to chip in their feedback about such an important missed collaboration from the Android OS, adding door for tablets account into a diffrent kind of sync level may be an idea for the root development. The app development may take it as a risk in privacy or security but we are way ahead with security when thinking at the percentage. Anyways please relocate the thread or I'll post a clear one later if u can point me the place where. Thank you

+1 raising the topic. I found this thread because I'm searching for a solution to using WeChat on both a tablet and a phone. We can't be the only people in the universe doing this. It's annoying to have to log out/in/out, but it's even more frustrating that I can't sync my conversations -- so each one is incomplete. ugh
The BlackBerry bridge has this option but u will have to connect your accounts to the BlackBerry service , however it seems promising, though I never used it

Has there been any development on this front? it's been a few years since this topic has been brought up. Whenever I google this problem i only see that you can sync between ipad and iphone. Not sure why wechat's chaining to that, would like to use it between android phone and tablet.
