Hi, I've been using the old build since it was released. The rom is basically an ICS-ed Stock rom, but only made n-times more beautiful and faster. I was never a fan of stock roms until I tried it and it made me love the features of stock roms.
Though it wasn't as fast as Jusada's or some CM7/9 roms, it was still quite smooth and fast. I think that it also has less bugs compared to CMs since it is based on stock roms. I'm not sure though since I never had any problem in any rom unless I overclock my ace.
Anyway, it's worth flashing since you can always back-up your nand to test it
Aww this was my first rom!
I will flash it again If its out I was tired when it was down

I know its personal preference but can I get some recommendations on roms for the note? Just curious what many people are using and what seems to be the preferred roms....
Thank u!

I'm also curious about finding the best ROM. I currently have a stock Galaxy Nexus, and I love that, so I'm looking for the best ROM for the Note that is as close to Stock Android as possible.
I really want to pick one up, but until there's a Clean, Non-"Samsung-y" ICS ROM, I'm holding off.
Any leads would be Very much appreciated.
Thanks.

If youre looking for ics i have been using this rom for about a month, has a few bugs but i use it for everyday.

I'm running Noteworthy BETA 2 right now and I'm really liking it. I've only come across a couple very minor issues, the theming is top notch, it seems to perform well. Just add apex launcher and you're good to go.

Your going to have to wait much longer before anything is released, we dont even have an official release of ICS yet, nor do we have any source code, and after CM gets around to releasing a first release, even longer (probably a month or two) before it is stable enough for daily use.

There's Cassie's Xtralite ROM and Silent Light available at the moment. Quality is better than quantity.
Try to install Xposed framework. Then install Wanam's module. The link is available in this forum and its 100% compatible to Mega 6.3.
Wanam's module contains numerous popular mods that you can find on most popular custom roms. Just check it yourself.
Personally, what I really want to see is a custom kernel with overclocking capabilities. I think snapdragon 400 is a good overclocker.

Hehe, I understand you because personally to me Touchwiz interface is quite boring, that's why I prefer AOKP/AOSP/CM ROMS XD
And there are some people who would like to have an interface like Samsung's Touchwiz on their another branded phones. But you want the mostly what you don't have...
So we should donate a device to team slim and ... we hopefully get a 4.3 build in the upcoming weeks !?

People like you amaze me. Do you find your computer boring because it has no custom roms? It seem to me some people think that devices exist to run operating systems instead of running programs for those OSs. Do you belong to the group of people that flash their devices day and night?

Comparing between official rom and customs what I got with note 2
Better performance
longer battery life
Less problems and unwanted apps

Oh, mate, i know very well what benefits custom roms can provide. Have been running them since my WM 6.0 days, but since i switched to android and learned to clean stock roms, i've discovered that custom roms give me very little to no advantage + quite often they gave me instability/fcs/not properly working features/other weird problems. I've cleaned the firmware on my 9200 the way i want and now it is very light and quick and no lag and runs on battery forever. Last charged it 4 days ago, have been using it here and there for reading/surfing net and it still has 50% charge left. Amazing.
To be bored with such an amazing device because of the lack of custom roms is weird. We have root, Titanium Backup, Root Uninstaller, custom launchers - everything we need to clean the stock rom to make it light/efficient. What the hell, dude, just learn how to use some programs and stop complaining. Alternatively, if you are so bored with your 9200, send it to me.

I have to also admit that I also choose a device according to what we find on XDA.
That's why I stay away from less known brands, haha!
But we cannot be too impatient, the Mega is very new and for sure won't have the success of, let's say, the Note 3 here on XDA

I have absolutely nothing againt custom roms! What i have a problem with is the topic of this thread, which is "bored with 9200 because there are no custom roms". If wanaam roms are so great, get the device that has them and be happy.
Its to show the devlopers how we need there support
Also is the reason why I love android

Thanks

Wanam's framework module requires Xposed framework to be installed first then the module activated in Xposed.
Im not quite sure about the dependency thing you mentioned, but as far as I know both cassie's (deodexed) and Silentlight's (odexed) ROMs are official stock ROM with samsung bloatwares removed and therefore has got nothing to do with xposed. I am using official stock (odexed) XXUAMG4 ROM with some samsung apps manually deleted.
Ok so I have a mdk version of this phone and I want to put a solid rom on it what one is the best do you think of the non tw ones? And another stupid question if I flash like dirty unicorn does it lock down the bootloadrr?
There is no right answer to this... the best rom is the one you like the most, so you need to start flashing and finding this out for yourself.
Flashing roms will not lock your bootloader. Only if you take an official update will it do that.
what the above user said is correct, the best ROM depends on the user. However, i have a rooted mdk gs4 and i was using stock for quite a whole and happy with it. after a while tho, the slight lag and other annoyances got to me so i decided to try a rom. I should note that this is my first android device, I am a long time iphone user and jailbreak expert, so i'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. I decided to try Hyperdrive recently and I absoultely love it. its basically a hybrid of touchwiz for gs4 and note 3 with all of the bloated BS crap removed and lots of customization options. it is much faster and solves some of my gripes and was easy to install. I also chose to try it first because it was similar to what i was already on so it was a good first ROM choice in my opinion. it was also super easy to install. I am gonna try CM11 when it gets released to see if I like it, but for now i would recommend you try hyperdrive

Ive had a lot of trouble with AOSP 4.3 ROM's with Bluetooth. On long conversations the BT will cut out and then the phone hot boots after I hang up.
I dont use that much I just want a good daily driver

All the aosp roms bring something to the table. The touch wiz roms for this phone are great as well. There are fan boys for all of them.
See what you like.
That said. I can tell you which developers I'd follow. I say this based on user support and rom support, and listening to features requests, and a quality product. or a combination there of. Sbreen94, nitroglycerin33, dubbsy, beanstown106 , Bdogg for DU is starting out right. Andybones is also tops but I haven't seen as much of him lately.
Edit: forgot DaMadOne is is doing nice things on his aokp kang.
With the big aosp custom rom's you have a ton of peer support buy typically @ the mercy of whatever the larger team is working on in terms of bug fixes etc...
I have less experience with sacs so can't say there.

I LOVE my ROM rules, your ROM sucks threads!
FWIW, I use CyanogenMod nightlies and it suits me just fine, as always, YMMV!
I asked this question several months back and at that time there were none. Now that Kitkat has had time to mature and the developers have had time to do their thing I'll ask again. Reading through the posts it still looks like most of the 4.4.x ROMS are fraught with issues. I'm looking for one that has all the features working and can be used as a daily driver. I'm tiring of my 4.3 TW ROM and I'm looking to upgrade...what's my best bet and why?
No one? Somebody has got to have an opinion or experience with the KitKat ROMs...help a brother out.
Why not backup your current rom and try them out yourself.
