Hello
I have tried to use your rom. I flashed it how you said but when i try to turn on a black screen with some kind of vertical lines appear.
Then i saw a post of yours saying to just flash system.img and boot patched to solve it. But it is still the same.
I can't go to recovery and don't have phone. How can i solve this problem?
Thank you in advance

You have probably flashed the wrong one
Make sure you select the correct version for your phone. MTK6582 or MTK6589.
The phone can report false CPU info as said in OP.
If you flashed mtk6589 then try mtk6582 instead or the other way around.

When i try the MTK6582 the spflash tools give an error
BROM Error: S_CHIP_TYPE_NOT_MATCH
And other is I can flash many roms with the spflash tools. But the mtkdroid tools do not detect the phone. It is always doing the sound of an input usb pen and output after seconds

Hi,
There are many many models of this phone and that’s why I said in the OP to be sure to check your phone very carefully before flashing with this ROM.
If you did not make a backup first then You will just have to search and flash until you find one that works for you.
You could try these Here http://www.needrom.com/category/star/u9501/
Regards bigrammy.
I managed to make it work with the mtkdroid and the model that is showed is MT6589. So i did it right.
I already flashed that rom and blackscreen still occurs
I hear the sound of the rom playing but just black screen appears, maybe the problem is in lcd driver?
Noob here MT6582 question.
Hi recently joined and have been reading lots of threads here. Great forum .....
Will no doubt read a few times before I fully understand.
Ok got myself an alps W500 MTK6582 device which from reading here is the same rom as a Star S9500 mtk6582.
Have I got that correct?
Also is there an android 4.4 rom for this device? Thanks
I have managed to fully backup my phone using DroidTools following excellent info on here.
I find them great little almost disposable phones for the price, just find the preloaded android rom is a bit shabby and buggy imho
Thanks for any info advice.

Nextbook Next8p12 RK2912
Hello, I have a Nextbook tablet model Next8p12 with the RK2912 chipset. I have installed this rom but I am having issues getting the touch screen to work and the color is off. I am fairly new to this tablet and its design on installing roms as it is different. I am wondering if I am installing the correct rom for it or if I'm in the wrong place.
if someone could help I would greatly appreciate it.
Need CWM recovery help
Hi Oma I have Iball 6309i tab its rooted and functional. I have seen that you have already made the CWM but that was as a reply to dead tabs. My tab is alright should my process & CWM be the same.I mean should I also flash the entire firmware or can I just flash the recovery file? Also I have seen that there is no scope of backing up the stock recovery as instructed in the official Clockwork site where they instructed to use the zip to temporary load CWM then backup the stock and then again flash permanently. I am a safety first kind of guy hence I wanted to consult with an expert like you.And in case I brick my tab in the process, I would also like to know the procedure to restore the tab using the .img Rom dumps.Thank you in advance

android version?
pablobhz said:
Hello
I believe that first of all I must ask help to identify this tablet. I have tried running mobile uncle tools but all i got was its chipset (mtk6582) , manufacturer (I still don't know if its soaiy or alps) and other specs like screen resolution etc
I already deodexed its ROM using "All in one toolbox" and "Android Tuner" , removed all Chinese bloatware , installed cwm (its not working perfectly but at least I got the "android system recovery (3e)" which is better than Chinese recovery.
The problem is , I can't seem to run any Google app on it ; whenever I open Google settings , play store ,gmail and etc it automatically closes . Already tried all common solutions available in many forums / around the web with no luck.
If i try to flash any gapps package I receive the message "invalid its package missing scatter".
Also tried copying the falls content (unzipped) to system / app folder , no success also.
I'm sending pictures of the phone , if I guys can helpe identify it and solve that Google apps problem I'll be very thankful.
Thanks in advance
Pablo
Ps: my guesses are something like "alps p801" , or "soaiy p801"

What i need to know is what model is that - so i can flash a similar rom or something.

I seek your professional help
First let me congratulate you for all your professional work by opening the knowledge windows for all of us !
I have a serius problem with my Spreadtrum 6820 s9002-b phone.
I've damaged my Android operating system by editing the "build.prop" file for "Fun Fake android version" (yes... that was stupid) I only edited the Android version line from 4.2,1 to 4..4, now when I turn on the device it freezes at the android icon all the time.
My phone doesn't have recovery or fastboot mode, only system test. I've found a stock ROM but, I'm not able to flash it because I can't put it in "USB debug mode" because the phone doesn't boot up.
How can I repair my device? is it death? Am I a device widower?
Thanks for help
PD: I'm sorry for my english
