@subworx - thank you on creating Aroma script for debloating
You little angel you.
I've already froze most of these thanks to a little bit of google searching, but THANK YOU for providing descriptions. Much appreciation.
Just a FYI:
GNSS is GPS stuff.
Global Navigation Satellite System.
You don't use Google+ or Google search. ? I must ask, ...why use android?
Wow, also don't use the remote app (the ones in market are not nearly as user friendly as lg remote). Confused why you use Google/ndtoid at all.
Thanks for the info. I also was looking at which of the stock stuff i could freeze and uninstall but since i didnt know what half of them did I was afraid to do so. Your short description helps. Thanks again.

Dont understand?
If I use Android I have to use Google+? Why? Could you please be kind and explain.
Google+ is really ****ty thing, plus, here almost no one use it.
Nope, dont need Google Search bar on my phone.
I use Gmail and Drive. That are all the Google products and apps I use.
Could you make a aroma for this? It seems to uninstall a lot of stuff needed by the system. Also I agree there is noooo need for google+ I have a android and have since gingerbread and I have never used google+. Don't get me wrong it's ok but lets be honest it is really bad, but that's just me I don't like any social media but instagram and vine. That's not true you don't need google plus to have a android on most devices it does not even come preinstalled and it is also one of the first apps people remove because of the amount of storage it takes up.

v3.3.12 update:
- Added free music of the week;
- Specially designed for Google Music App;
- Brand new setting: Auto update application;
- Brand new setting: Update Using WiFi only;
- Brand new setting: Automatic add shortcut;
- Microphone (voice command) switch in search menu;
- Small font;
- New application drawer icon;
- Star rating (review) chart on application page;
- Some Other Minor UI tweak.
New version Android Market, rolling out with new settings, and new icon.
There’s a brand-new settings menu, as well as click-to-read explanations of app permissions (not developer customizable, unfortunately). There’s also a brand-new Market icon to spruce things up.
You can now use a custom PIN for purchases on your phone, instead of leaving your Google Checkout wide open for anyone that picks up your device. If you have kids, or your phone is stolen, this is one awesome feature to have – and really, it makes a lot of sense.
Root access is not required, but you’ll need Unknown Sources enabled in the Settings -> Applications menu to install it.

Hi, I've been using this updated market for a few days, it does work much better then the older one, say 3.15 I think was the last one that was pushed onto my legend, less lag and loads much quicker for me.
I still don't like the layout as much as the even older versions, say 2.36, I find it hard the simply browse the available apps like the old version :-(
To install, all i had to do was download direct to my phone then open up ES filemanager and tap the file, installed over the top of the old one no issues for me.

Glad it went easy for you. Adb push via recovery is also an option.
Unfortunately they didn't solve the bug regarding custom screen DPI setting. I've explained HERE. Till Google will solve this, I must stick to the old market unfortunately.
For me.. this market is quite fast..
Faster than 3.2.0 i'm using previously..
but thats only happening on 3G..
If i'm on Edge.. I'll get either FC or Conn Time Out..

Could someone give me the link to DL the old Vending.apk (2.x market available for 7.0RC) ?
I got enough of this PHAT app.
Thanks.
Thanks, it doesn't crash as often as the previous version on stock.
seems faster than 3.3.11 which repeatedly had "no connection" when it wasn't already started
now it's even fast using 3G!

New Update for Google Play Store 4.6.16
What's New?
So, what's new in Play Store 4.6.16 compared to 4.5.10?
1-Batch install in My apps -> All tab
Update #1: Rather than batch removing (note: I'm talking about removing apps that aren't installed from the All list here, not mass uninstalling) multiple apps in My apps -> All tab, we can now mass install them. This makes installing familiar apps on new devices a whole lot easier, though still very much time-consuming. The batch remove functionality was, well, removed.

}
Removing apps from My apps -> All no longer jumps to the top of the list
Update #2: Previously, simply removing an app from the My apps -> All list forced you all the way back up to the top of the list, which was extremely annoying and unnecessary. No longer the case - the app now disappears from the list, but your position remains the same.
2-New Require password option
Following the recent class action lawsuit over in-app purchases, we now have a new option to always require the account password for purchases, not just once per 30 minutes. If you have kids, you should probably turn this on now.
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store
3-Settings and Help finally moved to slideout nav
Settings and Help have moved - you can now find them in the slideout navigation drawer. Other Google apps were updated in a similar fashion recently, so we completely expected the Play Store to follow suit. In related news, this means that the unnecessary overflow menu on the start screen is gone.
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store
4-Confusing Auto-add widgets setting renamed
The "widget" part of Auto-add widgets was really confusing since it was actually adding icons and not widgets. It's all fixed now, finally.
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store
5-We can finally force Play Store self-update
Finally, we can trigger a self-update action on the Play Store itself - just tap the Build version in the settings. This will come in super handy for fresh OS installs that ship with outdated Play Stores.
6-IAPs now included in the App permissions screen
Following the IAP indicator added in the previous version, another warning about IAPs is now included in the App permissions list when you press Install.
7-Google+ +1 counts are now exact for large quantities
This one is pretty self-explanatory. If you still don't get it... drugs are bad, mkay?
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store
8-Tweaked styles
Add buttons are now blue, the names are bold, and there's a white border around the profile image:
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store
For those of you with multiple accounts, the account selector looks a bit different now and no longer makes all the nav items disappear:
Left: old Play Store. Right: new Play Store-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there any integration with tasker?
Force closes when tapping on the shortcut, when I open the app, it says status:inactive. I have already activated it in xposed and did a reboot, module doesnt seem to get activated
Great idea.
It works fine from aplication, but it crash from shortcut on home screen.
Samsung Galaxy S3 international
OMNI Rom 4.4 latest nightly
For the further developement I sugest to implement some kind of automatization. For example I would like to see automatic activation in case of pressing power button (manual sleep).
Tasker integration can be aslo the good idea.

You can use Auto Shortcut Pro to integrate any app with Tasker.
Or at least, any app that offers Launcher type shortcuts, like this one does.

Hello everyone,
I'm in the process of trying to use the phone less and less. Therefore, I do not care if WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook and so on have any background activity.
Obviously, all those activities have been restricted. In the battery settings, I've noticed there's another option I can enable or disable: foreground activity.
I have a general understanding of what foreground means, but in this specific context I need some help. Can I disable this activity? I only want for those specific apps to check for notifications while I have them open. If I do disable foreground activity, the app won't connect at all?
I won't let any of those apps on my device. The were designed to be malware and data miners.
They are security risks.
If I can't logon and use a forum through the browser, I don't use it.
while I can, and probably will, stop using socials at all from my smartphone, I really can not do the same with Telegram and WhatsApp. I want to restrict these apps as much as possible, preferrably like they only work when I open them

Best course of action, in my opinion.
You could disable them when not in use.
I do that with Google Play Services, and Playstore.
You can keep them from having internet access with Karma Firewall, freeware that uses almost no battery. It may tone down their battery usage too.
Lol, they can't lead me, I can't lead them... so they can get the hell out of my way
Use this setting change to block ads globally.
Works pretty good.

Disable all notifications apk you don't need , from battery settings tick on "optimize"for all apk you don't need to be active , go to every apk info and untick "data utilization in background" and last resort in "developper settings " you have "limit apk activity in background " to minimum ( 4 apk) . These are the only methods system permit . If you root the phone there are plenty of apks which can stop booting or disable some parts of apks too much agressive . All Google apk boot with system and have a lot of subrutines involved in tracking your activity . Also you can disable all apk you don't need with adb fastboot cmds . What apps are good with root?
Some time ago when I used rooted phones , I appreciated :
- My.Android.Tools.Pro
- App Ops - Permission manager
- ROMToolbox Pro
- All-In-One Toolbox Cleaner
I'm afraid to use root due lot of problems like boot loop , freezed boot sequence , no OTA etc so I'm pleased till now only to disable apks I know from past , they are hungry battery . First APK is very interesting , you can see every apk how start , boot with system , tracking features , triggering wifi and data and so on .
