Im not so good with this kernel stuff and I have been searching some but cant make any sense of this forced encryption that OP talks about. Just to make it simple could someone who knows maybe list the kernels that are safe to flash from, that wont wipe my device if I flash this. I for example am still running 4.4.4 with Boeffla kernel and I have searched his thread and read around on his homepage but cant find the answer. Im sure im not alone in being grateful for help

All Kernels are Totally Safe to Flash on this ROM. It's Just that If You've Enabled Device Encryption on Your Phone, The ROM's Kernel Will Wipe Out Your Entire Storage.
(Hint: If You've Never Heard of Device Encryption, You Haven't Enabled it and its Totally Safe to Flash the Kernel of Your Choice)
Thank you for making this multirom compatible. :good:

Thank you. I never bothered with messing with kernel settings, I often find the stock setting in the kernels to work best. Thank you for clearing this up for me.
F2FS supported?
While I download this. Can someone comment if this is multi rom compatible. If yes will this need to be primary (issue with cm). Once again. Thanks for this ?

Okay, so i wasn't sure whether or not we already had this Rom for our nexus 7 2013, i did some searching about, checked his github for official repos, checked official downloads on goo.im and i check xda, i found a bs harmony rom, but was not sure if that was pure beanstalk, and it hadn't been updated for a while so i decided to build Beanstalk with Linaro GCC 4.8.3 and release to you guys.
It is also official for the Nexus 5 and other devices so this thread will be like a "copy" of one of those threads and i might update in accordance for the same updates that they get (It's also unofficial for my 4x)

Features
Okay, so for the feature list it is hard to make an exact list, if you look on other posts they have a rough outline of features, but i feel like it's a little outdated and not exactly as accurate as it could be, so i will add a full feature list here, and make additions, but not quite yet as i am being lazy But it will be here soon, i will add some backtracked change-logs just for reference thou
Bugs and Gapps
Don't think there are any bugs, because it's a nexus device, i used CM's tree's so i'm also unsure whether this is CAF or non-CAF in all honesty so some feedback on that would be handy too on that, as for gapps, just use whichever ones you already use, they should work if they are 4.4 and possibly ART compatible. Suggestions for gapps are also welcome!
Downloads
As soon as an official update hits, i'll build and put on my devhost account and i will link each one here with a possible link to my public folder to flo. Feel free to mirror or request a mirror, i'm sure we can sort one out if you are having issues with dev host your end, or possibly even my end

MOD Edit: Links removed
Installation
If you don't already know how to do this step then i suggest you try out an officially supported Rom first before mine, they will most likely be safer and work perhaps a little bit better then my unofficial builds will
Code:

- Make sure you have a custom recovery installed that supports flashing KK roms.
- Place BS and gapps zip's on internal memory
- Make a full backup
- Wipe everything (Cache, system, data, dalvik cache)

Great work mate
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk
I've been using this ROM on my Nexus 5 and I have to say that it is one of the best things that have ever happened to it. Or any device really. It has amazing customizability, tons of features, battery life is pretty dope when combined with a good kernel. I will never think of switching and cannot recommend this enough. I promise you won't be disappointed =3

Thanks for this. Use to run BS on my S3 and am currently running it on my G2. Gonna give this a go in the next day or so.

When you say not to fix permissions is that in general or only directly after flashing a fresh install?
Just don't do it at all. It causes bootloops, from my experience, in all 5.0 ROMs.

It's amazing how even somthing as subtle and simple as that is enough to impress me with a ROM. Not to mention is really does save a pretty decent amount of time not having to open an app and check.

i flashed now another rom and modem is back, will give another try later.
thanks.
edit:
gave a retry, just format system/data/cache , reflash only the rom (no gapps this time) and reboot
now, you said you have 'baseband' ok, not me
how to solve ?
No SIM card detected.
another little speed report, apolo 8 CM beta8 did not boot the rom but apolo 8 OMNI beta9 did it , just to let you know.
still CANT see INT_CARD (from begining of all tests), just CAN see EXT SDCARD in Documents
then flash supersu 2.46 , IT appears in Settings now
Rootexplorer said SDCARD is not currently mounted

All the thanks goes to Lemlis, Genetic and all who helped him to port it.
What is the difference between Lemis port and this one?
I just downloaded this rom.
I also see that in your thread says that the rom was made by GeneticEnginer (ROM and Kernel)
Can you tell me what is the basis of the Port that I take Genetic?
Do you know that for any rom that wants to take Port as a base, you must ask permission from the developer before publishing it? Or at least give him credit?
I do not see any point in making another CM13 thread when there is already one that if you have my permission to use it, where it helps to make it stable.
This rom is not from Genetic, 99% is from my Port that I made at J5 2015, you just changed the buildprop and kernel.
This rom uses my meta-inf from my previous versions that I did, use all the libs and framework I add in my Port bit by bit, In conclusion you made it very easy to do the thread, in J5 it takes months of work to be stable, Now you take my rom, my files and you do not even mention me and make it happen like yours or genetic?
@The Merovingian Can put rom without permissions and credits in xda? This is not a violation in xda?
Here some captures what is the same as my rom (I have doubts, download my rom in J5 2015 and compare the files are the same)
Sorry, two questions
1: what wipes are the exactly needed?
2: and why not format the internal memory? If I format the internal memory, I would have installation problems?
I ask about the internal memory because I like to make installation as clean as possible!
Thank you !!

Still not really sure about this since only thing we got is GSI and I suspect the method is not the same as flashing a GSI. I believe we need a custom recovery in order to flash PE, is that correct?

Maybe you could make a pdf or a blog about how to flash this rom and also links for recovery. It would be great. Thanks.
Thank for your work! Can it be rooted with Magisk?
What advantage does it offer over miui 12?
Is this stable rom?
I'm new in custom rom, i'm using gsi bt that is not good so much!!
I play pubg!! So i need a gaming rom & Karnel.
wow finally a proper custom rom that's not GSI for our device!
thank you so much, i will try this later when i have free time.
cheers!
Advice from me: (if this modification is your)
Remove Gapps and users will he choose if they want it because it's important to have users more ram on your custom rom than original xiaomi miui rom.
