[Q] Anyone having trouble connecting other bluetooth devices? - LG G Watch

I just got my watch yesterday and while I wait to get my LG G3 back from repair I paired the G Watch to my Nexus 7 (2012). Everything runs great and I've installed apps, but if I try to connect to any other bluetooth devices my watch will pair and immediately disconnect. In the bluetooth manager I've tried pairing with a Steelseries: free controller, an impulse controller, a coworker's mouse, and my Macbook. Each device will ask for a pairing key (if needed), pair, and immediately disconnect. Just to be safe, I paired each device to my Nexus 7 and Macbook, all without issue.
Has anyone else had these issues or found a way to successfully pair the watch with other devices?
EDIT: I should have probably mentioned that I did find and try a beelink apk after finding out the watch is supposed to have a 1 device limitation.. Beelink says paired for every device I try, but nothing actually works. Even when disconnecting the Nexus 7 I originally paired my watch to.

Setting up bluetooth OBD2 with android

My touch pad is running CM alpha 3.5 and i managed to sync it with a bluetooth OBD2 device i baught of ebay. I have installed torque on my toucpad however the OBD device is not communicating with it.
On my laptop running win7 i synced the obd device and using free obd software it was communicating with my laptop and was able to read the ECU.
SO the OBD device is working, just not likeing my touchpad. Is there something i am doing wrong??
Thanks
Alpha 3.5 here with a generic OBD2 BT reader. Torque finds and connects to mine right away...works great and looks sweet. If you want GPS data you can tether your GPS to your phone with an app from Market, it works great.
If you are prompted for a password when torque connects to your OBD reader, try 1234.
thanks for your reply. I was hoping it was a case of plug it in and sync to get it working.
i have managed to connect a GPS reciever i found lying around my house and got it working fine with copilot using a app off the market place. Its just the OBD device dosent want to work. Ill borrow a friends phone and try it out with the free version of torque to see if it works fine. The other option is get a WLAN obd deivce for my iphone but i really dont want to pay the stupdily high prices they are atm.
Last night i tested out using a friends galaxy s2 and it all worked fine straight away
The only difference i noticed when paired with the s2 the android bt settings says the obd device is 'connected'. With my touchpad it says 'paired but not connected'
Had the same issue with the free version of torque app, try to purchase the full version and try it then, works great for me. If it still doesn't work you have 15 minutes to return the app for a refund.

Paired not connected is what it will always say unless you are directly accessing it. If I open torque it finds my device and connects, then the status indicates connected.
make sure you pair with the correct code
i got an ELM327 bluetooth thing from amazon last month for $20. had to get the pair code off some comments on amazon.
the first time i tried to pair with the wrong code, it said it paired but torque didn't read it at all. kinda weird that it said it paired.
once i got the right code, torque worked fine.

[Q] Prime has trouble pairing with Logitech bluetooth audio adapter

I just bought a Logitech bluetooth audio adapter (Model 980-000540) and am having a lot of trouble getting my Asus Transformer Prime to pair with it.
I've got the gold TF201, 32GB, all software up to date. I've gotten it to pair a couple times reliably, but the other 20 times I've tried pairing it works like this:
1) Press the button on the Logitech that puts it into discovery mode. The light on the unit starts flashing green to indicate it is announcing itself.
2) In the Prime settings, I have Bluetooth enabled, and then search for devices.
3) The Logitech unit shows up in the "Available Devices" list pretty quickly. Sometimes I see (what appears to be) a MAC address, sometimes it shows up as "(A9)Logitech Adapter".
4) When I click on the Logitech item in the list, it goes gray and says "Pairing" underneath it.
5) Most of the time, it the moves to the section above, to indicate that it has paired.
6) Immediately the green light changes to red on the Logitech, indicating it has lost pairing.
7) Shortly afterwards, the Logitech item goes back into the "Available devices" section.
8) If I try to pair now, with the Logitech no longer in discovery mode, the Prime will show a dialog that says "Couldn't pair with (A9)Logitech Adapter because of an incorrect PIN or passkey." The only option is OK, and there is no ability to set the PIN.
This happens 19 out of 20 times, but it's locked on a couple times and seems totally solid and reliable after that. It's just the pairing process which seems unbelievably fragile.
To my surprise, my Samsung Galaxy Nexus (LTE) has no trouble pairing with it at all. It paired the first try, and now whenever I turn Bluetooth back on it immediately syncs with the Logitech with no hassle at all. Rock solid.
I've tried various tricks, but none seem to work:
- Put the tablet into Bluetooth-broadcast-visible mode at the same time.
- Turning bluetooth off and then back on, etc.
Has anyone else had trouble with Logitech bluetooth speaker adapters too? Or does anyone have any tricks or apps that can coax the Transformer Prime into pairing more reliably?
Thanks for any help,
Jim
I had a very similar problem last week trying to pair a LG headset with the prime, connected with phone perfect, and but likewise when trying to connect also to prime second got the lost connection, incorrect pass/pin etc etc.
I solved it by connecting bluetooth headset to phone, then under phones bluetooth settings press and hold device name to bring up a menu, and select options. Then unchecked the Media option/box. I then tried to connect the device to prime and it worked flawlessly. Since then I haven't had an issue and can even switch between the phone/prime & bluetooth device with no issues.
Hope above helps and you get it sorted.
Try this app. It may help if nothing else does.
Bluetooth Address Finder - Market
Not sure if the Prime or your Logitec gives you the option to input the BT address or not. I've not had any problems pairing or connecting to any of my BT devices.

[Q] Bluetooth question

I have a 101 G9 1.5 Turbo I got off sellout.woot back in march. I have one of surdu_petru's rooted roms on it based off gingerbread 3.2.80 (can't remember which one exactly!)
I just recently tried to pair it with my cars bluetooth (2010 Mazda 3 iTouring). I went through the pairing procedure and it connected to the car. I see a symbol of headphones on the line for the Mazda but the tablet locked up after it paired. I tried unpairing the mazda on the tablet and redoing the pair. But the same thing happens and the tablet just locks up. It has even randomly rebooted itself after the lockup.
I'm just wondering if anybody has tried to pair their tablet to their car like this before? I did manage to copy the logcat.log off the tablet from the last time I tried pairing it and poked through the log file for any bluetooth error messages (available if anyone wants to look at it?) But I don't know what to look for in it.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Anyone have success bluetooth pairing phone (or android wear)?

Has anyone had any success pairing a phone or android wear device to the N9?
I've tried to pair my LG G3 and watch to the N9 in order to make use of the SmartLock functionality, but I'm not having any luck.
Either device will pair, but I cannot get either to stay connected. They just connect and immediately disconnect.
Oddly enough the watch was working yesterday, now neither work.
problem pair bluetooth nexus 9 with motorola 360
There seems to be a software issue in lollipop lrx21l where thge bluetooth connects and then immediately disconnects. Anyone else?
Mine works fine with Android Wear but I cannot control music with it for some reason.

It should pair with yous Asus device no problem. I am using mine with a zuk phone running Android 10 and have no problems pairing.
Make sure to tap on the pairing notification on the watch when trying to pair.
If you can get it paired with one device just download the app on the other device and log in. No need to unpair. Switch off whatever device you don't want to use the watch with and it will work fine with your other device.
By the way if you are going to be using the watch for sports tracking using GPS I'd advise you to send the watch back as soon as possible as the GPS is practically useless on this watch
