I bought an Atrix HD Station, with remotecontrol and it has some usb ports for extra connection.
I modded the Dock, so it fits in the Xt626 ports, was just turning around them. The thing, is that my phone doesnt come with the apps for webtop or media like. Only hdmi mirroring and so the Dock is like, just a chraging dock with hdmi output.
I was looking forward for the remotecontrol and some other futures.
How can i inatall the webtop app with out loosing the phone?
Tanks in advance. Hope for some answers.

Is the only method for this so far the Malata dock? I don't need the other parts of the dock, just the HDMI. Is there anything cheaper to accomplish this? I would LOVE to play my emulators on my 55" LED =D
The only way to get hdmi out from the Gtab currently is the dock. A straight hdmi cable hasn't been developed yet. See this thread for more:

Greetings,
Just've got my RAZR. Its awesome! Just wondering if I can use web top functionality with only miniHDMI <-> HDMI cable and bluetooth keyboard+mouse? What is the purpose of special web top adapter?
It will be possible with a custom APK for WebTop.
The purpose of special webtop adapter is "Money For Motorola". Nothing else.
Or, if you're talking of the lapdock, I've got it (atrix lapdock) and I can tell you it's nice to take with you and use it because it's thin and lightweight.
You've proven my point. I'm not going to buy motorola's webtop adapter
Could you give more details on special webtop apk I need to install?
Also on clove blog its said:
Why do I need this adapter? If you connected a HDMI cable to the device without this, you would get only a mirror image of your device screen on the HD display. With the webtop adapter you get more advanced features like you would when connected to a HD dock, without the need for the HD dock.

As I've understood HDMI mirror image is not mandatory. And I should get image on HD panel, just the phone display will be turned off...
I just ordered the smart controller, I'm also very interested in whether I could just plug the phone into the usb&hdmi cables w/o the adapter or dock.

uHDMI and uUSB on their own will only work with mirror, gallery etc mode, no WebTop afair.
I have a minihdmi and can confirm that there is no webtop
So I'm considering buying the HD dock for my photon but I wanted to ask a couple questions first.
What exactly will I be able to do with it other than charge on a nice dock? I know it also has the spare battery slot so that's cool. As for the HDMI port, does that basically mean I could HDMI out to my monitor (would probably need a vga/hdmi dongle as I don't think my monitor has HDMI)? And if I do this, could I also connect it via bluetooth to my motorola keyboard/mouse and use those as input and see the cursor on my monitor?
And lastly, does it work well with the CM7 that is currently out?
Thanks for any help.

You can basically use your Photon as a computer. It has Firefox, a file manager, and a couple other various things on it. You can connect a mouse and keyboard to it too. You could also try out UbunTop.
I'd really like a dock to keep my wires neat for my home theater however all the docks I've found for the note only have the micro USB port. Does anyone know of an HDMI dock for the note or if the HDMI adapter can be plugged into the port on the standard dock to provide video pass-through ?
Thanks guys!
Mugen is making a dock with HDMI out. Should work for the ATT Note.

Hey Thanks!
Thats the first I've seen with built in HDMI. Seems like a logical feature for any dock made for a device with video out. This will make for a great media center feature.
I will be also purchasing the standard AT&T dock and attempt to connect my Samsung HDMI adapter to the back of it to see if it can handle pass-through. I'll report back here if it works for anyone else curious.
Hello!
I'm planning to but original dock for my RAZR, and I see that there are two versions of it. What are differences between them?

It bugging me, since they are looking the same but the second one is much more expensive. And description is the same.
Cheaper one has only one USB port for charging, another is equipped with hub and three USB ports. HDMI micro socket is in both models.
Ed. Ale bardziej opłaca się złożyć samemu =]
Also, The more expensive dock has a standalone Firefox web browser. I purchased the more expensive one and use a usb mouse and a bluetooth keyboard and it's like having a full PC on your TV through the HDMI cable. You could probably do the same thing with the less expensive dock if you have a Bluetooth Mouse and Keyboard combo but I am pretty sure you can only go into mirror on display mode vs the full webtop application. Either way, I think it would be a worthwhile purchase in my opinion. I enjoy using it.
Additionally I was told that the less expensive model does not include the mini HDMI cable. Not sure if that would influence your decision or not.
I'm just wondering. And I don't mean to jack the mans thread, but has a powered USB hub ever been successfully patched into the dock interface? If its easy enough I might try modding mine.

So, basically in more expensive model you can access Webtop, while in cheaper one, you can't, right? Or am I wrong and it's only USB ports and browser difference?
Also, lack of HDMI cable is no problem. I can get one easily xD
The one I have has no USB ports. It only has HDMI, Audio and a micro USB charging port. I'm just wondering if a USB splitter can be added some way?

@UrbanDroid
But can you acces Webtop App like on more expensive one? If it doesn't have Webtop app then it's not worth to buy it.
Also I have questions for other. Is it possible to attach normal USB hub to it and make it work like expensive dock? I mean, connect normal HUB with three normal USB slots and one microUSB for charging. Is it even possible without tearing dock apart? I know it's less stylish then buying expensive one, but unfortunatelly I can't afford it xD Life is brutal and stuff.
Webtop is in your phone, not the dock. The docks play some tricks with USB pins so the phone knows which dock it's in and which mode to activate.
People have used USB hubs to add devices to the RAZR, with or without a dock. The only caveat is that the hub must have its own power supply and you may have to make a cable to have it work. Google around for it.
The ICS leak (.211/OTA?, at least) will enable webtop without using a dock at all. Just plug in an HDMI cable and you're good.
Confirming. I've got the simple dock for free with the costco verizon deal recently. No mHDMI cable included. However the web top works the same through the dock as with the cable only (upgraded to ICS right away, so can't tell for GB, but who cares now, as JB is coming? ). Tinkering with the idea of installing a USB hub board inside the dock. Looks straight forward, just need to measure the inside compartment to get a proper hub for parts.
