Haven't been able to find anything, seems nobody has done the Mega before.
It's the same process as any other Samsung phone, find a s3, s4, or any other Samsung guide. Flashing any phone is pretty much the same process, so have a couple more steps but all the same execution.
And yes tons of ppl have done the mega Lmao, I have flashed around 16...

OK. I am going to provide as much detail as I can for now. Please let me know what additional information will help you help me. Thanks
I have a S4 for Verizon. I have been trying to root it so I can load the Google edition image on it. However, none of the tutorials I have seen seem to work on my device. I bought it brand new direct from Samsung off contract (didn't want to loose my unlimited data) so I don't think I can get a warranty replacement through Verizon (haven't rooted it yet). The furthest I seem to get is that SuperSU gets installed but will not download the binaries. So I cannot continue with the rest if the steps with rooting and re-imaging. Also, most steps have you install a specific kernal version as the first step but not sure if that is happening because my screen don't look the same as the ones in the tutorials.
Phone: SCH-1545
OS ver: 4.3
Kernal: 3.4.0
Build: JSS15J.1545VRUEMJ7
HW ver: 1545.06
Thanks.

Just so you know, the only thing available for MJ7 build is root. Installing a custom recovery or custom ROMs is not possible at this time.

Not with MJ7 firmware they aren't.
If you didn't buy a developer edition, you my friend, are screwed.

No. Once the phone is updated, there is no way to go back.
As I stated above, all we can do is root. With root we can debloat and use Xposed framework to make some changes.

That doesn't really accomplish what I want though. Not your fault obviously. Do you know if this is a Verzion thing or just the device itself? Thanks

It's Verizon, they lock down every phone they sell. You have to do research before you buy your phone if you want custom software on Verizon, or switch carriers.

I know Verzon sucks in that regard but the service is awesome. I get full 4G coverage just about everywhere and I've got unlimited data still. Plus, I didn't buy it from them, I payed full price from an online vendor so that I wouldn't have to change my contract.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for when someone finally cracks it.
I hate waiting....
Title says it all. Really want CM on this.
No. They would need to be ported to work with verizon's radios at the minimum. Not to mention there is no way to Install any rom at this time.

Go on sammobile and there is an unlock option you can unlock the phone and if you are selling it it will raise the value or you can put any sim in and use that carrier.

You can't use a code to unlock the 900p it's a sprint note. They do over the air unlock that's why I'm trying to see if there is a way around it through rooting.

Hey,
I have a note 4 from a company I no longer work for. It was in my drawer for almost a year. I played around with it and tried to wipe it but it wouldn't wipe because of Air Watch. I guess I made it worse when I disabled something I shouldn't which I think was the account for it. Now it stays stuck on the screen of Air Watch and do not know how to remove the company guarded info and just put the normal nougat or older os on there. Any help?
Are you rooted?

I don't think the Note 4 VZW version ever did gain root. Did a quick search and it looks like there was a bounty thread for it. Not 100% sure it ever got root though

I have a T-Mobile s9+ and for the life of me, I cannot get the OEM unlock button to show in Dev options. I've had my phone for over the 7 days, as I saw you need. I've even tried doing the "change the date manually and restart" trick and no luck.
Is there no option for the T-Mobile version of this phone and it's already OEM unlocked? Can I just go ahead and root my phone without issue? Or do I need to get that button before I can go ahead and root/install a new rom?
If you have the G965U, no you will not be able to unlock the boot loader.. My oppinon, is when all manufactures were done stealing ideas from dev's live here on XDA.. They decided they did not need them anymore and locked the phones down.

You can root, but it comes with big downsides. Search for Extreme Syndicate S9 root here in XDA and you can read all about it.

You can install GSI, but they have the same downsides that the default oreo root ROM included has, if not more. I'm on 10 too lol. I tested it, played around with it then went back to stock. It was neat.

I mean the good thing about this method is that it doesn't unlock bootloader, so it doesn't trip knox. The bad thing about not unlocking bootloader is that you can't install custom kernels or recoveries.
