[Q] Bluetooth Gamepads

I know the Galaxy supports the standard bluetooth stack, but does anyone have a list of gamepads which will work with the 10.1? Essentially I'm after a pad to use with N64soid, so really a wii style classic pad?

Best/Most Functional Bluetooth Gamepad?

Are there any bluetooth gamepad controllers on the market that work very well? Specifically for emulators (FPSe, GBAoid and SNESoid). Currently using a wii classic controller through the Wii controller, but would prefer a true bluetooth gamepad.
I don't own a PS3 controller or a dock to make it work.
Thanks!

[Q] Xbox 360 controllers w/Nook Hd+ Cyanogenmod 10.1

Hey, I cant figure out how to get a wired controller to work with my nook hd+. It gets power, I turn on the usb thingy so that it would work. And it just won't do anything. I also got my wireless receiver for xbox controllers and tried a wireless. It looks like the receiver was working perfectly but it wasn't because I couldnt sync to it. I just want to be able ot play emulators with some sort of controller. I heard that wii remotes don't work anymore so I havent tried but if that could work I would do it. I also have a Wii u pro controller that I could use. Thanks for the help!

How do you pair a wireless Xbox 360 controller with the S6 Edge?

Hallo!
I haven't been able to pair my Xbox 360 wireless controller (with the reciever, OTG) with my S6 Edge at all, is there something with the xbox profile that's located in the /system/usr/keylayout
The file name is: Vendor_045e_Product_028e.kl
I know that file is for a USB xbox controlller which is a wired xbox controller and not a wireless controller, but what if i edit it *somehow* and make it work for an Xbox wireless? Is there any solution for this problem? @[email protected]
I mean, can i copy the XBox wireless profile from my S5 (running lollipop) and paste it into my S6 Edge running lollipop? I know it's a really noob thing to do and may seem senseless, but I'm just trying for my stuff to work lol.
Probably easier to pair up a ps4 controller since they use Bluetooth. Maybe ps3 controller would work? I can't remember if they use bt or not

ye, but the topic here is an Xbox 360, not a PS4, it's too easy to say just buy a PS4 controller and pair it with my phone. Playstation controllers are easy to pair with, no denial in that.
Solved on s6 active!
After about a week of trying, I have wireless 360 controllers working on my s6 active. I'm using a Microsoft 360 controller receiver and an otg cable. I had to find a legit USB BT Joy Center apk (not the gold version, it kept disconnecting my controller) and then I found an app called Lucky patcher that let me remove the license verification on the app, since it has been abandoned by the developer. No root required! It allows you to keymap, so I can use multiple 360 controllers for emulators (Mario kart tested), and I even used it to play games streaming from my computer with Moonlight. I have the fixed apk file upon request, or you can diy with the instructions above.

Wireless Controller Options for Pixel

Basically the title. I'm wondering what wireless controller you've guys gotten to work with the Pixel. I don't really won't to get anything expensive because I'm probably won't end up using it much. I wouldn't mind getting one that holds the phone though. I'll mainly be using it for emulators and such.
Also, has anyone successfully gotten the Sony Dualshock 4 controller to work with it? It seems to pair just fine but I can't get any buttons to work with it. It'd be awesome if I could get it work because I already own one.
Thanks in advance friends!
I believe with a PlayStation controller you need a way to map the buttons like Sixaxis Controller (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller).

I haven't tried Sixaxis yet with my Pixel, but it worked pretty well for my previous phone. It does require root.
Good news, I got Sony Playstation DualShock DS3/DS4 controllers to work on Google Pixel.
I have a pixel, rooted, with SixAxis Controller app installed.
Wired USB:
dmesg for ds3/4 show the devices connecting via USB, but does not create a hid/dev input device. sad, this worked perfectly on Galaxy S3 on Cyanogenmod
Wireless (Bluetooth):
- Program the master address using SixPairTool on Windows (use phone's Bluetooth MAC address)
- DS4: pair natively as "Wireless Controller" in Android, holding PS+Share. Buttons will not work at this point.
- DS4: Start SixAxis app, and touch start. it 'just works' now, tested in JohnSNES and DosBox, NO LATENCY! Zelda / CommanderKeen
- DS4: Touchpad/Sticks/Buttons works natively in android, sweet. No need to switch to SixAxis IME
- DS3: No native bluetooth pairing. Start SixAxis app, touch start.
- DS3: Hold PS button to start pairing mode, phone will popup with request (0000/1234)
- DS3: Latency seems good, but didn't play that long (JohnSNES).
- DS3+4: XY/AB buttons seem to be swapped, but easy fix in SixAxis settings.
So ROOT is needed for both controllers and wired support is broken.
I got an ouya controller to work. For what it's worth. Of course I wouldn't recommend spending $50 to get one if you do that have it already
I prefer to use the USB a to c doohickey and plug an Xbox controller right in. Works perfectly. Noted for future research though, thanks.
My SteelSeries XL works very well with my Pixel. It's easily the nicest looking controller I've seen that is meant for use with a phone.
At the moment I am using it with DraStic NDS emulator but it likely to work with any game that supports external controllers.
