After .167 update for my Z2, speaker volume and counter fail - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I have made my Z2 update to .167 Android 4.4 update for it, it is nice at good speed, having remoteplay for PS4 (which i doesn't tried it but seem good?) and camera in video seems to be working good quality.
but there's big problem, where is my "xloud" in setting? and it really made my Z2 ringtone and notice sound very low volume! And also I found that the counter in the clock app doesn't work well, it count to end and jumps out, but the notice sound just ring a second and stop!
Really annoying in these 2 problem.
Is that someone facing the same issues? Or there were way to solve these?
Thanks.

ST15i - low microphone volume

Is anyone else having a microphone low volume issue? A lot of people tell me that my voice is hard to hear. It's not a hardware problem, because the microphone it works just fine testing it using the service menu (*#*#7378423#*#* ) or using it with apps. And the problem it's getting worse if I use a custom firmware or kernel.
I suppose there must be a way to adjust the microphone level... There is anyone who knows where I should search? A file or something from the system folder, where a value can be changed?
Thanks.
Hmm, strange.
Can you try with a headset or hands free and use its microphone instead just to see if there's any difference?

or check if the noise suppression turned on/off in dial settings

I have exactly the same problem with my Xperia Active. Testing the secondary microphone in servece test it sounds better than the primary. Swithing off the noise reduction makes it a bit better, but still lacks of normal volume. I would appreciate any advise to solve it?
Any fix availible for st15i?
Any custom rom i used has the low microphone bug :/

Notifications volume issue after the 4.4.4 update

Alright so guys! Today i updated my z2s android to 4.4.4 and.. Sadly I am shocked to see that they removed xloud option from sound settings and that they've completely changed sound settings here and there, this isn't the problem anyway, my problem is that notifications sounds are quite too low like i barely hear my phone! But whenever i play a song or whatever it's fine, apparently it only happens in notifications and alarm. I remember having the same issue when I bought this phone at first and i simply checked x loud and maxed out the equalizer thingies, in sound settings. But now as there's no xloud option there anymore, i cant do much. I hope someone can help me out! Thx in advance. Oh and my device is unrooted if that's needed to be known.

just as you said bro ....Its RIDICULOUSLY LOWWW!!! WE NEED this to be fixed!!!
Another ridiculous user here..
i am having the same issue, i am feeling like receiving the notification sound only from earpiece.
must be fixed soon.. annoying..
Its not really a 4.4.4 issues. Notifications with 4.4.2 had the same problems.
There might come out a sound mod or something soon. Maybe @olokos ' sound mod would still work on 4.4.4? I don't know...
-EDIT-
Yeah there is Click "here"
I don't really like the idea of using both speakers for notifications and ringers. Sony decided for a reason not to play those on the speaker that might be near your ear.
Just updated my mod!

[SOLVED] Background noise reduction on call

Hi,
It seems to me that since the Lollipop update, the background noise reduction during calls is defective.
Indeed, if the option is enabled (Parameters/Calls), my voice is less and less audible for my interlocutor. If I disable the option, the voice is good.
Is this a problem with lollipop or my second microphone is dead?

this is problem as far as i know since jelly bean and im wondering why did they ever put sutch option when u cant even use it...yes i know when i turn it off its all fine when turned on, all calls become very low on volume and sometimes echo acures...theyx could or should solve this for once and for all but anyway not a big prob for me...i had xperia Z before and i think it somehow worked there but with the xperia Z2 NoiseCanceling is a bad... but with NC headphones i can confirm that i was talking on the phone while riding motorcycle and the caller on other side heard me like i was in some room without any wind noise or whatsoever...so it really works with NC HP and second MIC IS NOT DEAD...hope i helped u make solve that question.cheers
Thanx,
So I never had to activate this option before. And that's when I searched in the new lollipop menu I had the "wrong" idea to do so.

This happened to me on KitKat,. It only happens when you flash a different customization version.
I rooted the Z2 and flashed a Generic ROM from another country and the Noise Reduction broke and Lollipop I flashed the Baltic Generic version and here too the noise reduction breaks. When i revert back to my original ROM the noise reduction works perfectly.
I'll try when the update will ne available for my country.
Guys let's team up and send some complaing emails to Sony to fix this ****. I can't use that option and it's really useful sometimes.

bad Bluetooth quality

Im getting really bad Bluetooth quality when playing music in my car, the quality is really bad its like listening to radio, is it common ? Or just me ? And can i fix it ?
I found the problem, its a bug, whenever i receive a notification it boosts the Bluetooth audio which causes distortion
Enable hd sound in connected devices by enabling toggle.
Also use noozxide ewire pro... And select unique preset woth focus surround.
You will appreciate this reply after hearing drastic change in sound quality.

Yes I've noticed that higher Bluetooth volume gives some ugly distortion. Kind of sad. V4A helps a lot though.
