Jackery Giant+ 100$ off - Nexus 6 Accessories

Hi,
This is not an accessory for the nexus 6 exclusive, but it seems like a very good deal: The Jackery Giant+ 12000mAh external battery is 100$ off on amazon.
Current prize: 29,99$
Normal price: 129,99$
Has anyone here made experiences with this device? Can you recommend it? Is it worth it?
Here the link to the product: http://amzn.to/1vxmTfk

That list price is ridiculous.... It's probably not even worth the $29

So, uh, no... it is not worth the $29. Also, you should check out the price of that thing since it came out... it has been $40 for months now and was never higher than $70.

Why are so many people promoting this? Did they do a mass marketing campaign and pay people to do this? It sure seems like it... There are TONS of Battery banks that are the same size or bigger and even some from reputable manufactures that cost the same or less on the daily... (ANKER 13000mah 29.99 for example)

I read about this deal in AndroidPolice, but didn't know exactly if this was a good deal, that's why I asked.
And I thought the build quality of this battery is much higher then the Anker ones. Yeah, I have an Anker battery, but this one looks much better and premium.

All the Anker posts do get out of hand but I must say, for the cost and quality, they can't be beat. I would like to expand my knowledge of other brands though. What other brands do you recommend that have good battery quality at the same price point?

Have you had this battery? If yes, please write down your experiences, this is interesting for me.
Or at least explain why you would say that.

I don't like any product that has an artificially high price and then always sell it with deep discounts so you get a "good deal"

I bought one before from Hong Kong, it worked very well (exceeded my expectations, especially for the price)...but I'll never use an extended battery on the 3D just because the texture on the back of the phone makes this phone so unique!
you are probably looking at roughly 2500mah actual
bought one, only 3 left
if this is from a "real" manufacturer, why do they only have 5 for sale?
Sumthin fishy here..
2 of the most faked/counterfeit items on ebay are batteries for phones and memory cards.
You couldn't PAY me to put a $15 battery in MY phone.
I ran one and my niece for a year with the EVO... Worked great...

would love to know before i fork down $75 for siedio's battery this week
Great! Now I need to decide if this is the battery door I should make a mold for a TPU case around or not. I'm sure seidio and sprint/htc will release their own door as well.

Seidios batteries are traditionally way over-rated as well. My favorite product of theirs is the slim "extended" batteries that are actually less mAh and then the OEM battery I'm guessing this battery will come in at 2500-2800mAh, Seidios will probably be between 2800-3000. You can send the battery to batteryboss.org and they will test it, but I doubt you'll want to drop $75 on a battery and then send it to someone. I actually
have one of these standard size orange white and red batteries and so far it seems good. Maybe 90% of what the OEM battery is. I especially like that is has an Android on it!

$15 battery? Even the OEM batteries can be obtained for less then that. I just bought a Samsung battery for an i500 for $10. Evo 4G batteries are about $10 too. These batteries arent fakes, they arent advertised as being OEM. It's just a chinese brand, and from my testing so far they are well packaged and well performing.
Please make the tpu case for the Seidio extended battery, I love this smoke one I have for the standard battery. And I'm getting the Seidio 4000 this week
I'm getting the seidio "boss" battery, and would definitely buy a tpu case for it. These tpu cases are a gem, so well worth the purchase.

I had 9 original EVO batteries from ebay and they worked PERFECTLY.
Guaranteed they make them in the same factories, just some of them get one sticker, others get another sticker. Maybe they're in different towns, but I'm sure it's the same process and they work great for me. Not like the $60 batteries are made in america - they're made in China as well
These under 20 dollar battery's work.
But for how long
They can last a year but don't be surprised if it stops holding charge/discharges fast/takes long time to charge within a couple of months use
Its like a EverReady battery or those cheap batterys they have at the dollar store
They work but soon you have to replace

Any extended battery that fits using original backdoor

Looking for an extended battery that fits in the OEM battery socket, using the original backdoor.
Does anyone know a good quality battery like that?
UPDATE: Ok, after doing my research I went for Mugen's 3350mAh one.
Reasons:
- I'm an electrical engineer and I hardly believe that you can add extra 1000mAh to the same size battery as MPJ claims and sell it for 19$ - that reminds me of my experience with cheap batteries on eBay (They remove the original label from expired batteries, put a fake and sell for cheap money). There is simply no such technology out there. I bet, Texas Instruments would instantly publish such stuff on Gigaom and it would be Breaking news.
- Mugen seems to be a respected brand among tech reviewers. I found reviews about them on Pocketnow, Engadget and Android Community.
No. Not gonna happen.

MPJ has a 4500 mAh factory size battery for 19.99. Original back can be used. After some research, they seem to be a very good battery company. This particular battery has 5 stars with 40+ reviews. Add NFC for 3 bucks.

Too many times these batteries bigger than Samsung put out as OEM are proven to be les than advertised or even die quicker than stock. I'm not optimistic about it but i'm definetly awaiting your review.

Did some research also n it seems great...but i am considering the 8500mah one now.
Any "extended" battery that fits with a stock battery door will only give you a few minutes more of operation if the advertised capacity is true. I would guess it would offer you less than thirty minutes more. Not worth the money. With all the standard extended batteries I've owned, that needed a custom battery door cover, gave 1.5x more run time at the very most. More times than not, two OEM batteries lasted much longer than the extended. Unless you are willing to talk about zerolemon batteries, then I would say it's a waste of money and time. Most ratings of these extended batteries are exaggerated greatly. You're lucky if you get 1.25x more uptime when compared to OEM. The quality of OEM cells are much better than third party batteries. Zerolemon might give you close to 2x more runtime, but they still aren't as much quality and have as much life, over the long run, as an official OEM battery. To get an "extended" battery that fits a stock battery door is a waste of money. The increase of run time is hardly noticeable to make the purchase worth spending the money on.

What you say is true if only I'd get this battery and only use it, however I get it to swap with original because I don't want to alter the design of the phone. So once my original is showing low charge I swap it with the new one, so I don't think it's a waste of money.
Zerolemon is not my choice in the end - I checked them online and was not impressed. Does not look professional. I went for Mugen, because according to the feedback from respected tech sites their quality is very good.
OP you should keep in mind that these batteries are not quality tested like the original one's are, and they might catch fire and hurt you.
There have been several cases of phones catching fire or blowing up, and most of the times the reason is an unauthorized battery.
e.g. http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-that-injured-18-year-old-girl-exploded-due-to-third-party-battery_id45509
If something like this does happen, Samsung will not help you or fix the phone for you, even if you are under the warranty period.
So always be cautious while using an unauthorized battery.
Just don't see how you can really cram that much add'l capacity into the same size battery for such a cheap price. Where's the trade off?
I'd like anyone who gets one of these to report back after using it for a few weeks to see how they hold up.

what about the one in question? It offers 150mah extra. I know it's not too much, but if using two batteries (OEM + this one) it all comes up to 6550mah if I'm not mistaken, which is good.
Samsung spend millions of dollars on researching batteries. So these batteries can not keep goal.

So why not just spend the money on a samsung battery. No worries. No issues. No checking to see that 150mah you're not going to get. Just get another stock battery. I already have mine with charger. Was $25 after tax on samsung website but after 50% off coupon.

You don't need to buy the charger, You can buy just the battery and swap it when the first one is dead. It's somewhere around 17-20 $ on eBay. I don't think it should be a problem ordering it where you live, or you can have it shipped to any of your friend or relative and tell them to send it to you.

Don't buy off-brand batteries. I personally only use ones from the OEM(LG in this case), but at the very least only buy from a reputable company. Like Anker, ZeroLemon, etc
Hmm thanks, will check if anker do this I doubt it though.

At the moment, I'm just waiting patiently until more options become available.
I'd like to find an external charger and a quality 3000mAh in the $25 range. I really don't want to waste $10-$20 on an ebay chinese battery that doesn't work (or will degrade much faster than an OEM battery).

Yeah, I'd have to definitely agree with that. After all the phone is relatively new and in comparison to the likes of Apple and Samsung the batch of accessories and options we have are limited due to how LG dont have that much monopoly in terms of marketing power,
However I am really surprised as to how carphonewarehouse (as i live in the UK) dont have batteries or any retail shop at this moment.
Like you said external charger and good 3000mAh battery (preferably the orginal) is key to be honest.
I bought these on amazon and I'm very happy with them here's the link

This piqued my curiosity so I checked out eBay. They don't appear to include any sort of custom back so I would surmise they're the same size as the original battery. I would still be skeptical of these but if you buy one be sure to give us your review.

Is this portable Sansung fast charger any good?

I saw this listed on Amazon for only $30. Best Buy has a new version that is a little smaller for $70. This pack is 5200mah. It would be nice to have with hurricane season coming up and summer thunderstorm season in case power goes out. Looks like it would fit nicely in a pocket too.

I don't know why this charger would be better than any of the other chargers like Anker, or RavPower etc. Anker's are pretty fast.
