[Q] Make internal "media" storage as primary? (Perhaps swap media and sdcard?)
Hi all,
is there a way how to either swap /mnt/media and /mnt/sdcard, or to make /mnt/media as a primary external storage? Just like Samsung Galaxy S II, to have all external storage data stored internally and have micro SD card easily swappable, used for movies only etc.
I'm on CM7.
Thanks a lot.

My media collection is to large to fit on to just my external microSD card or my internal storage alone,
However it will fit if i split in in half and put some on both the internal and external card.
My problem is it can be rather hard to keep track of what files are on which card so i end up with doubles all over the place.
Is there any program that can manage my media and split it across both the internal and external SD card without putting any files on both?
Is there a way to transfer my photos from my camera card to my SD card in the Galaxy 5.0 Player? I would like to transfer them for backup while on a trip.
I don't care necessarily about moving apps or the data folder, just want the best script or way to swap the media files and such so I can download things like TED videos or offline songs from Music Unlimited to my much larger micro sd card.
Thanks.
Hello,
I recently bought a Cayin N5ii portable DAP (Digital Audio Player).
It runs on android KitKat 5.1.1
It has 32GB of internal memory and supports 2 SD cards upto 256GB each.
It also supports Tidal streaming.
The problem is that tidal does not save its offlined songs on the SD card. Only internal memory (25GB). In the tidal settings menu, under Storage, it does shows only Internal memory. No option to select the SD Card. For now this is fine, but really soon internal space is going to run out.
I searched for days to find a way to fix this problem, but in vain. Some say it is an android issue while others say it is a tidal issue. No clear answers anywhere.
Then I read somewhere that there is a thing called an adoptable SD card (I am new to android). If this thing can sort things out, I'm up for it.
Also, It doesn't matter what method is used (rooting, adoptable card, jailbreaking, etc, etc), my end goal is I want to save tidal offline songs on the SD card.
Can anyone familiar with this device & process help me out please?
Thanks, Adil.
Hi Adil,
it is a TIDAL bug. I have the same issue with Qobuz too, and I finally find the answer on "Head Fi" forum a few minutes ago. For the moment only Spotify is able to change the path from the internal storage to the SD cards slots. So, wait and see ... Regards from France, Eric (Cayin N5 MKII)
