This is it TEAMWIN! Sprint G3 now has a fully working TWRP... I have been waiting for this to support my exfat formatted SD card. Installed like a breeze with the previous bumped version and so far works flawlessly... THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

That's awesome to hear, surprised this thread is only 1 page still. I came across earlier, but only saw the "intriguing" post, wanted to wait & see how everything was. I was nervous to flash, just cause at the time nobody mentioned they had. Will check back, & thanks for sharing your results.

Did you read op? I wouldn't do it that way, I'd follow op instructions cause of the whole bumped thing. Flash in your already bumped twrp or use adb

Thanks for the update.. installed perfect Great job!
I seen in the thread for the previous version that this was able to be installed with the terminal emulator right from the phone. Is that possible with this version? Computer is down at the moment ?
No problems here. Installed via flashify, working smooth.
Thanks!
Thank You! flashed with flashify, works great now have ext sd card support
Also installed with flashify

Thank you! Installed perfectly through previous TWRP version.
New TWRP build!
Changes
- Support Modem Backup
- Display "External SD" instead of "external_sd"
Quick question. OP says with this version, you'll need latest adb binaries to do any sideloads in twrp. I'm not sure about how to update adb binaries, so I'm hesitant. (Though I've never used side load function lol). Any tips?
Flashed via recovery, all went well. Maybe adb binarys is just meaning latest drivers? Guessing!

Newest build is borked. Checked md5 and its good. Flashed via recovery and flashify. Twrp screen just flashes.
Same here
@777jon What is "Wipe Dalvik" actually doing if we're running lollipop (ART) builds? Is it still useful/necessary?
flashed previous version of twrp as well as this one through flashify. Backed up and flashed rom afterwards. Everything went well.

Introduction:
Team Win Recovery Project or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It's a fully touch driven user interface , no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features:
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)
Onscreen keyboard
Decryption of /data
Easy selection of internal/external storage

Installation:
since our device developers are constantly trying to fix bugs, they are always changing something in init.*.rc files for testing. For this reason I can't post a regular boot.img file because it won't work. For now, I've created a script that will take all init.*.rc files from current rom's boot.img and then compile new boot.img with TWRP inside it.
Note : For Rooted & Unlocked Bootloader Only
Note : For 4.4 ROM (should work on older version of android upto 4.1). I only tested with CM11. So please provide feedback
1) Download the latest zip file.
2) Extract it in a folder and place your current rom's boot.img inside that folder. (it must be named boot.img)
3) For latest ramdisk, download it and replace the old initrd.gz with it.
4) Connect your phone with PC. (adb must be working)
5) Open your command line and cd to that folder
6) For linux users, type
Code:
chmod 755 run_me.sh
./run_me.sh
For windows users, type
Code:
run_me.bat
new boot.img file will be created in the current directory named new_boot.img. Power off your phone and flash the boot image.
Code:
fastboot flash boot new_boot.img
7) If you want flashable zips after creating boot image, use this zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51580620&postcount=85

Thank you very much for your effort. Although I'm not using CM11 ATM, I'm pleased to see that TWRP is being developed for XU.
Will it be possible to somehow adapt it to ICS or GB? I'm not asking you to do so, just asking if it is remotely possible
Thanks . It works .

@NoobCoder : TWRP is working to some extent with CM10 (LE) but the only issue is the USB Mass Storage mode, somehow it is not getting recognized by my PC?! I'm also having the exact same issue when porting the latest CM11 CWM recovery to older Kernels! Here's the logcat, hope you can find what's wrong? -
Thanks.Can mount sdcard in recovery.

TeamWin's TWRP Touch Recovery for LG G3 - d850, d851, d852, d855, d856, f400, ls990, vs985.
https://twrp.me/
TWRP is an open source, community project. TWRP development is done by roughly 4 people at this point. We also have a large support community with many people who are willing to answer questions and help people with their devices either through our IRC channel or on forums like xda-developers.
Team Win was originally formed to work on porting WiMAX to CM7 for the HTC EVO 4G. After our work on the EVO 4G we wanted to work on a project that would work on more devices than just the EVO 4G and we settled on working on a recovery. Today TWRP is the leading custom recovery for Android phones.
A custom recovery is used for installing custom software on your device. This custom software can include smaller modifications like rooting your device or even replacing the firmware of the device with a completely custom “ROM” like OmniROM
You can find the source code for TWRP at github.com/omnirom/android_bootable_recovery/

Yeah I can happily confirm that too - all I did was take out the old TWRP 2.8.7.0 recovery from a flashable ZIP and then replaced it with the TWRP 3.0.0-0 recovery.
After that, I bashed in "reboot recovery" in the Terminal app, flashed it and then the recovery booted up without issues.

Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Code:
* [B][U]Your warranty is now void.[/U][/B]
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or your getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Your member of the TWRP Team ?.
It is nice to see that we have now an official TWRP.
Does new Build also support arco68 unofficial LOS 15.1 Version ?
Thanks @ripee !
Maybe you could link the the materialized theme in the OP : https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/theme-twrp-materialised-dark-light-play-t2915584
Clean design with a bunch of extra tools / options to enhance TWRP, this is really useful and handy ?

Thanks but seeing that Nougat version, will it work on a regular KitKat stock ROM ?
If not, which other version of TWRP should I use for an I9195 ?

I have no reason to believe that 3.2.1-0 wouldn't work with stock KitKat. Just remember to pull the battery as soon as your phone vibrates after the flash finishes or else your stock rom could quickly re-flash its own stock recovery.
Please report feedback if you get it to work or not
That worked a treat!
Flawless flashing followed by installing root from TWRP.
Thanks a lot!
Been waiting on this...
Thank you for your job, but on my i9195 I had troubles with this release. Often it doesn't recognize my 32GB sdcard (it seems to be empty), instead of 3.2.0-1 that works as usual, also with oreo. Maybe I forgot to mount the microsd? But it's strnge, I've never mounted the microsd on previous versions.
Please include the exfat Samsung kernel driver:

Indeed, however there seems to be a solution for Samsung products at least: https://github.com/bkuhn/exfat . Maybe ne0zone75 included this, but the TWRP guys don't use any Samsung device specific drivers.

This has less to do with the exFAT driver and more to do with a missing TWRP flag in my device tree. I'll look into it.
What file format is your SD card in? Please try FAT32, exFAT, and NTFS so we can cover these most frequent possibilities.

I remember a similar problem with my TWRP build for the big S4, which I fixed by removing the following line from the BoardConfig.mk file:
Code:

twrp-3.2.1-1-serrano3gxx.tar

Fantastic! Thanks very much for your feedback! I'll update the official repo and ask TeamWin to compile official 3.2.1-1 builds.
Cool, it also worked for me now with the exfat SD (NTFS is of course working too).
Great job ripee, many thanks for your good work

If you have stock installed, you have to very quickly pull the battery as soon as your phone vibrates when Odin says PASSED! The stock rom is very sneaky because, if you don't pull the battery, it will re-flash its own stock recovery before rebooting into system.

Installation procedure:
There are two methods to install OrangeFox
A) Via a recovery (for those with TWRP installed):
1. To install an OrangeFox zip, flash it with OrangeFox (or any TWRP-compatible custom recovery) without any wipes.
2. Do the same thing if you want to upgrade OrangeFox
3. When you flash an OrangeFox zip, there is no need to flash any DFE or any other such thing
4.To install an OrangeFox img file, boot into fastboot mode, and run the command: fastboot flash recovery OrangeFox-xyz.img
B) Via Fastboot (For those without a recovery):
You need a PC for this. If you do not have a PC, or access to a PC, then you are stuck!
1. Unlock your bootloader (if not already unlocked)
2. Install adb, fastboot and the relevant USB drivers onto your PCs)
3. Download the correct OrangeFox zip file to your phone, and to your PC
4. Extract recovery.img from the OrangeFox zip file, and copy recovery.img to your PC’s adb directory
5. Reboot your phone into fastboot/bootloader mode
6. Open up a command line window / terminal emulator on your PC
7. Change to the adb directory on your PC
8. Flash OrangeFox Recovery by using the fastboot flash recovery recovery.img command
9. Reboot into OrangeFox by pressing the power + volume down keys, until you see the OrangeFox splash screen
11. After OrangeFox has booted up, check that everything is working – eg, that it has mounted the data partition successfully, and that the touchscreen works.
12. Find and select the OrangeFox zip on your phone, tap on it, and swipe to install it (because OrangeFox Recovery needs some files from the zip)
After installation, the phone will automatically reboot into OrangeFox
Enjoy!

Hello, does password encryption work with Android 11? Do you know or I should try and let you know? Recovery seems very nice. First time I changed from TWRP and I think I'll stay. Good Job!!
Edit: I know it says "Password Protection" in the main post. What I meant is can it decrypt with password?

I have not tried it with a pin code but for me pattern encryption works it decrypts your device just fine.

I wanted to mention that when fully customizing the recovery things can get really laggy making it difficult to use. I can't exactly tell the setting I had because I set everything to default for fluidity. However please work on the speed and smoothness!
Appreciate the work.

Did you try rebooting into the recovery after you customised? I should also point out the recovery doesn't utilise a phone's complete power. It's limited so there are always no animations and everything feels sudden, that's a limitation for twrp Ofox and everything else I've used.

Well yes, of course. Everything seems to work fine after a few minutes but still very laggy at start and that can be a bit annoying for things like pattern lock and such. I'm not runny any customizations as of now things work good.
Tried PIN and it doesn't decrypt. It's no problem, got used to it(lol) but I'm just letting you know.

I wanted to consult your team and members about a possible OrangeFox Recovery and a Rom A10 or A11 for a seperate device not OnePlus 5T. If you are interested, Pm me. Or message me on Telegram @MrConkel Payment is available for this project but is very limited. More details can be discussed after you pm or message me. Appreciate your time..
I like this recovery. It works with encryption in android 10. However, it did not work with encryption in android 11! Is it only me?
Hello!
Received an Oneplus 5T from China a few days ago, (still) running OxygenOS 9.0.9 A5010_43_191008. Gonna install some custom ROM as usual, so just unlocked its bootloader.
Saw this post about OrangeFox recovery, and considering what I've been reading in the [OFFICIAL][RECOVERY] [TWRP] TWRP for OnePlus 5T thread I feel like I'm going to put my faith in this recovery.
I have a question, though. According to what I read in the TWRP thread, the custom recovery gets killed by the stock ROMs. Is this serious?

Just
curiosity. I guess that means I should straight install my custom ROM of choice just after the recovery, period.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, by the way.
P.S.: Just saw there's a more recent thread about this recovery, [RECOVERY] [OFFICIAL] OrangeFox Recovery for OnePlus 5T. Will more properly repost this there, sry.
