If I were to want to use my international unlocked hltespr on another network that uses gsm then would I be ok flashing the hlte ROM? Or am I just going to have to use touchwiz? .
The note 3 was deunified and i do not see any options for using gsm now in cm11.

Would it be possible to flash a radio from another VZW device to my Galaxy Tab 7.7 tab that would enable voice calls? This was actually done with the 3g galaxy tab 10.1 in the u.s. using the international radio. That instance was near identical so it makes sense that it worked easily.
There is currently an unofficial CM10.1 build out for the device with data enabled that has the dialer and messaging apk enabled. The tab can actually dial out and receive an incoming call, but no sound can be heard nor can you speak through the mic. The messaging app works perfectly fine sending MMS/SMS messages.
After looking around, it seems the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Stratosphere are dead on matches when it comes to the CDMA chip in the 7.7 (VIA Telecom CBP7.1).
The 7.7 Does use separate basebands for CDMA and LTE. I am not interested in flashing an alternate LTE modem, only the CDMA modem.
So for those that know, I have a multitude of questions:
Does flashing an incorrect CDMA radio always result in a brick?
Would Odin successfully flash an incorrect CDMA modem file or would the flash fail?
If an incorrect CDMA radio is attempted to be flashed via Odin and succeeds, would it be flashed to the correct partition/area on the device?
Is knowing the partition layout of the device I would like to flash the modem from necessary in order to have the CDMA modem flashed?
Since the tab has a separate LTE modem, would flashing an incorrect CDMA modem break 4G LTE?
Would flashing the sch-i815 modem restore the Tab's radio in case it doesn't work?
I am curious because i have read around and noticed galaxy note users flashing radios for use on T-Mobile, etc..

Hi,
I have a Verizon S4 (SCH-1545) MK2 running Android 4.3. It is rooted and I flashed Hyperdrive 13 via SafeStrap. Then, I switched carriers to AT&T, but I am using the same Verizon S4. I am still running HD13.
I was wondering if I can upgrade to HD 16. I have to upgrade my base to NC5 KitKat 4.4.2 before I can flash HD16. Will me switching carriers have any effect on how I upgrade/root/flash HD16 and all roms in the future?
Thanks

Verizon uses CDMA and AT&T uses GSM, you may be able to get Voice working, but I highly doubt you will get an LTE connection since they are different frequencies.

Recently, they unlocked one of the bands of LTE to allow traffic in the Verizon S4. If you check the bands on phonescoops, it will show that is is compatible with one of the LTE bands. In theory, it should get LTE in the major cities that have that band. However, Verizon likes to be stupid and lock their devices.
Verizon:

GSM:

Cellular Freqs:

You will be able to get GSM working on your S4 with EDGE or even 3G data, but LTE is unlikely. Voice and SMS will work fine. You will have to get the APN settings for AT&T and set it up in your phone.
Here is what I am working with:
Current device: HTC Droid DNA Global/GSM/CDMA on Verizon
New Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 CDMA (SIM card) on US Cellular
I can provide more information about either device if requested.
Here is my question(s). Can I flash the Note 2 over to Verizon? While reading about CDMA and GSM, they said GSM cannot be flashed and has a SIM card, both phones have SIM cards and require them to have one to operate, Am I wrong about this information? If I can flash the Note 2 over, what program do you suggest?

Verizon will not activate any non VZW phones whether it's technically possible to change the phone programming to work on the network or not.
Hi all, I'm considering getting the S5, but where I live only the T-Mobile version is still available (international version is sold out). Are there any limitation/issue with the S900T? Can we just use an international ROM (for the S900F) and have it run flawlessly like the international version? Thanks in advance.

I use the G900T on AT&T using Omega Rom (a G900F Rom) and have no issues. I'm not sure what country you're in but the G900T has all the LTE bands the G900A has and a few more.
The G900T does not have a locked bootloader like the G900A does. It's a great way to go if you need a GSM phone in the U.S.

I'm in Vietnam and guess GSM works for us too. Thanks for the clarifications
I would like to know if i could install an international gsm rom on to my sprint note 3. Since its an international rom and not specifically for a certain carrier that maybe i could flash it and set it up with any carrier. Id like to know if this is possible.

No. Not unless it is specifically labelled UNIFIED and specifically lists Sprint support. International devices are GSM and Sprint is CDMA.
What would it take for me to get a HLTE rom on HLTESPR when there is already a CM rom on spr running 6.0 and also a rom I have running 6.0 which is based off CM.
Maybe I should rephrase that. I have a HLTE ROM running 6.0 that is built of CM13. I need to get this HLTE ROM on HLTESPR and to my luck there is a CM 6.0 ROM on SPR.
Should be easy right?
