[q] unlocked at&t htc one m8 on verizon network? - AT&T HTC One (M8)

Hello everyone i was wondering if i can use a htc one m8 att on verizons network. I am aware that I may not be able to get 4glte is this true. If yes what apn do i use and what if the phone is not unlocked???

You won't even get voice service, or data by CDMA. The AT&T versions does not support CDMA.
Also, this (like all questions) belongs in the Q&A section. I'll notify the mods to move it.

Will Unlocked HTC Thunderbolt work on AT&T?

I own an HTC Thunderbolt, but I am forced to switch to AT&T. I am able to buy an unlock code for my phone, will I be able to unlock it and it run on AT&T? I would like it to run 3G or better. If you have any info, please let me know. THANKS!!

short answer: no
long answer: read the other posts in the thunderbolt forums for similar questions.
Side note: there are some verizon phones that are "world phones" that have sim cards in them. The droid 2 I think some of the blackberries do. I would return and get one if you can.

different type of SIM card. Thunderbolt has one for 4g only. Verizon uses CDMA for 3g and LTE for 4g, and probably some other band for voice. ATT uses GSM for 3g and HSPA+ for 4g. So they are completely NOT compatible.
ATT will be eventually going to LTE, but they could be dicks about it and choose a different frequency of LTE than verizon to prevent people from switching networks (since there's more than one to pick from), thus making it incompatible still.
Currently, all voice is CDMA on verizon still and data is CDMA as mentioned if it's 3g and LTE if it's 4g (which is what the sim card uses as it is the next incarnation of GSM). Next year they will be transitioning to voice over LTE.

[Q] Q on Galaxy S II Epic carrier locked?

Hope I am in the correct forum, but have a question regarding the Sprint "Samsung Galaxy S™ ll, Epic™ 4G Touch".
I do not use Sprint, but am under the impression they do not use SIM cards. My question is simple, can this phone from Sprint (Galaxy S II) be used with any other carrier like AT&T? Long story short I have the opportunity to get one of these phones, but my contract is with AT&T.

Probably not. EDIT TO ADD: Sprint is a CDMA voice network. AT&T is a GSM voice network. You'll never be able to get voice on one network with a phone from the other carrier because of this.
And the Epic 4G Touch has its own forum. This is the forum for the GT-i9100. Different phone from the Epic 4G Touch.
FYI though, the GT-i9100 DOES work on AT&T - I have one, and am on AT&T.

[Q] Switching carriers

Anyone else know kinda a noob here. just wondering if the Sprint version of the Galaxy Note 3 is compatible with AT&T. if it is what do i need to do. whether it needs to be unlock or not. ???help???

The answer to the OP question is NO. ATT is GSM carrier, Sprint is CDMA. There is no current "unlock" to allow the international GSM portion to work on USA networks.
Sorry.

[Q] Carrier unlocking phones...will my phone work on GSM

This week the major carriers announced they will be unlocking their customers phones once their contracts run up.
Does this mean that my Verizon Galaxy s4 will work on a GSM network once it becomes unlocked by Verizon? Will I be able to use it on a carrier like T-Mobile?
its already unlocked, theres a guide on how to switch to tmobile in the general section

AT&T HTC M8 on Verizon Network?

I was wondering if I used the root unlock method could I use the phone on Verizon?
No. The AT&T One M8 does not have a CDMA radio in it. Even if it did Verizon would have to explicitly allow it onto their network (which I doubt they would do).
