HI Guys, I have a Micromax A116 CANVAS HD, bought about One & a half year before...
I wanted to root it to put Kitkat or if possible Lollipop, I really didnt know about anything what to do...\

I think root was nice and successfull but cant move further...I want to install Lollipop as given in the following link

hi guys I'm am deepesh.Actually one of my friends rooted my micromax canvas hd phone and has put a cyanogen mod 10 to it.now the phone model name shows it as nexus 4.i have got a problem here...if i want to install new rom on my phone shoud i search that rom for canvas hd or nexus 4?
i want to install the latest MIUI rom for my canvas hd!
could some one please help me with the steps or could u please post a link in the comments!

search rom of canvas hd.. not for nexus. it only shows because when porting the rom the build.prop is not changed from original..

search for canvas hd roms
and if you want to change the build name, download buildprop editor app and change the name to anything you want, but be careful not to change anyother thing in the build prop. Do some Googling before changing any values.

Bro... There is no CM 10 ROM for Canvas HD with having build.prop of Nexus 4 !!

hi
as said before, when a rom is ported the file build.prop sometimes is not changed. if tou prefer to see the name of your smartphone instal "es file explorer" go to local/system and open file buil.prop.... then edit the file and change where you find the name of the other device only....
save the file and reboot your device
your phone must be rooted
if you want to instal another rom ou must search only for those who are made for your device
i was actually runig that on my phone!
but now i have flased MIUI rom..i looks great but it consumes more RAM!

Did you use kingo root apk or using pc u rooted... Also if I root again is there any option to unroot later...

I succesfully rooted my Micromax Canvas Nitro And wanted to share the process to do the same with you. Follow the steps below to root your phone :
Enable USB Debugging on your android device.
Download and install the Mobosoft PC Manager (Am unable to post link since I haven't posted 10 times yet). After installing this, connect your device and the software will install the required USB drivers for the phone. After this, you may uninstall the software.
[LIST = 3]
Download and install Kingoroot. After this, run KingoRoot with your device connected, you're device will take some time to connect. Then, click on root. The process will take some time, but your Canvas Nitro will be rooted.

Also, if anyone figures out how to disable the Micromax lockscreen (Blink Screen), tell me.
Thanks it worked ... today i faced a new problem with battery ... my battery percentage showed 75% but after 10 min when i saw it its showing 15% ... my mobile was idle when i left at 75% but suddenly it showed 15% ... it so weird and can anyone suggest what to do.. ??

i have same battery issue once switched off and remove battery out side and put the battery problem solved. if you have cwm recovery. go cwm recovery / advance/ clear battery creche.

1] go to settings-display-lock screen style-select video orb
2] then go to security-lock-pattern/pin/password-enter password.
your lock screen gets changed to simple pattern/pin/password lock screen like jelly bean and that notification gets turned off

I have rooted my Nitro a310 without any issues by using the Kingo Root Application. At the very first time, this application didn't find out the MT65XX android phone driver. Then after digging in Google, I got Root Genius application. This application will install all the Driver which is needed to the system. But the rooting will be failed in the Root Genius application. Once the driver installed I have connected the device with the Kingo Root App, which detected my device and successfully rooted the phone. Presently after removing the preinstalled apps, I got around 1 GB of RAM as free.

I am facing battery problem.
I think this phone has very low battery backup.....

Restart it
If still not rooting add one step

I have Micromax Canvas L A108.
I used "kingroot" app for rooting purpose.
This takes 2 minutes to root phone.
No problem in that.

I own a Micromax canvas 4 plus A315 and I am running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat unrooted. Its brand new just Bought 3 days ago. It uas launched here 5 days ago.. I couldntbfind any methord to root it.. I tried everything including srs root.. Kingoroot... Vroot .. Cant find an sd file to flash on it.. And just no methord works.. While i was doing with kingo.. In ny device started fastboot and it says flash not allowed and restarted.. Thats all i can say. I want to root it asap . please help me by any methord or providing me with a zip file which i can flash in recovery mode

But how ever you can change your phones appearance to look like the android lollipop by some steps,
1. Your device must be Rooted
USE KINGROOT TO ROOT YOUR DEVICE.
2. Install the xposed frameworkon your phone.

After you install Ur exposed framework
1. Install "Monster UI" from the framework. Search the ui in the search and you'll find it
2. Install "gravity bok [kk]" for tweeks like transparent statusbar and stuff try it and remember the changes made because Micromax phones are not trusted
3. Apply them from the framework and reboot Ur phone and it's done
4. Install "Xstana" for applying the kind of statusbar and virtual buttons you want
