On my Sprint LG G3 (Android 4.4.2), I installed Shortcut Master (Lite), and I can do a search for WLAN to get your 1st screenshot. But I cannot get any of the 19 files to open. In other words, I cannot get to the point where I can see your 2nd screenshot or 3rd screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

This is for all the people who keep asking about voice search not working on the ICS KANG ROMS.
Instructions:
Take the voice search apk and push it to system/app...change permissions to match the others... Reboot.. go to system/app. Then install the apk..say yes to replace system app.
(yes its complicated but i found that its the only way that it works.)
Good Post - Thank you

no worries...this is useless now...the voice search is fixed in all the new ics builds.
Worked Perfect! Thanks for the information.
Hi,
I've installed this following the instructions. But after a reboot, when I start voice search, it force close.
It works again if I reinstall from /system/app/VoiceSearch.apk
But I really don't want to install this after every reboot.
Why does it happen, and is there a permanent fix ?
Thanks.

I'm not looking for a link nor any newer version.
Because all new versions make my webcam's microphone useless. The apk shared on this thread is the only Voice Search apk that receives proper voice from my webcam.
Now, stop trying to impose your brilliant ideas. I have a problem related to this thread. That's why I'm trying to get help. If you are disturbed, just stop following this thread.
Why do you read it if you don't have any issues with newer version anyway ?

Then kindly say what you are looking for. This apk will NOT fix any issues. Again..this will do NOTHING. If anything it will make it worse. Now someone has to close this thread.

Hey I recently updated my Galaxy S plus to ICS using CM 9. Later I figured out my keyboard mic button is always disabled. But my voice recognition search is working fine. Any way to enable it?? plzz guys..
Hi all,
In first, sorry if question already posed...Is there anybody who knows how to activate Moto E proximity sensor as well as in Carbon roms (for screen on when out of a pocket or opening his case, for example) in Cm11 ?
Thanks in advance
try root and xposed. Maybe you find an xposed-module which is capable of doing so:

Hi I'm new to XDA but I've used plenty of stuff from XDA in the past...
Yesterday I had and idea that only XDA Developers could fulfill: Make all of android UI VR...I'm no developer but I don't think it wouldn't be too hard to split the screen of a phone and project 2 small versions on either side of the display of what the screen would look like if it was full. But when you put on Cardboard all you would be able to see is a massive android screen in front of you. Also there is an xposed module called one handed mode where the ui gets shrunk to a portion on the screen... If this is possible shrinking it a bit more and projecting the image twice can't be hard. To navigate this interface you could use a Bluetooth/otg keyboard/mouse. Let me know what you think. To do this I'm guessing you would need root access. Let me know what you think and if you CAN make such an app please do and tell me about it.

Well allow me to clear this up, this is Xposed we are talking about, and basically to use Xposed you need root access... and I'm pretty sure that you are posting this in the wrong section mate.

Hello friends, I am Naveen Naushad, an indie Android developer from India. I developed this app for G3, with which you can change the Volume button launch apps when the phone is locked, that too without root access.
A user tested it on T-Mobile G4 and confirmed it is working correctly. You will be able to modify the Volume Up action to toggle flashlight, launch a different app (instead of QuickMemo+) or even open a custom launcher shortcut. Unfortunately Volume Down cannot be changed as LG hardcoded it to launch camera, starting from Lollipop. Most people are ok with that as they need to change QuickMemo+ only.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptuners.keyplusapp
Requirements:
Stock LG ROM (or ROMS based on it)
QuickMemo installed and working properly
Not compatible with official flip case
Request:
If you like the app, please rate, review and +1 it at Google Play Store. That will increase the visibility of the app tremendously.

I am not rooted so I cannot extract the APK. Moreover there is a chance that the APK for G4 might be different from G3, so it is best you get it from a G4 user himself.
By the way, if you are running stock LG ROM, there is an app called Updater, from which you can install QuickMemo.

Dear friends,
I would like to request a module to hide root from an called, Good for Enterprise, which a lot of use to get our corporate emails. I was getting by with a patch written by @Phantasm4489 on an old version of the app (v2.7.1.390), but that patch is finally also failing for me on LG G4 H810l AT&T Android 5.1 :'(! RootCloack with 5.x support also failed on hiding root from GFE. Can someone please help or point me to an app they're using to fix this need? Thank you so much!

Hi orville, thanks for the link. I am aware of that module and used it for years, but it's not working anymore for me on the LG G4. I am trying to get some support going on it, but looks like the developers of that patch and script don't want to support it any further.
Thank you for your help though, hope I can get some attention/help going on this topic.

You are welcome. One thing that came to my mind: I have read about Xposed issues for G4 users. Are you sure Xposed is working properly for you? Maybe this is just an issue with a buggy Xposed framework for G4 models and the GfE Root module is still working.

Thanks again bud. I thought that too, but other Xposed modules are working fine. GravityBox, G4TweaksBox, BootManager, and etc. This module, activates and all, fine, but when I launch the Good app, give it Root access (normal procedure) the Good app becomes unresponsive, ultimately says it has stopped working, and the same happens on multiple relaunches.
The ONLY thing that I could think of changing is the fact that G4 is a 64bit device, that may have impacted this module. But other than that, everything is the same as the past, as my old devices.
I am hoping someone could help me at least if this is happening on their 64 bit phones or not as well? Thanks!
